Just when you think it was safe to make Holiday plans....we are now staying 1 nite at POR (due to a late flight, room only) we plan on relaxing and enjoying resort touring and DD and perhaps Celebration. Christmas Eve we move to Yacht Club standard view room. Have never stayed here, but since I told my 16yr old son (an aspiring actor) that we are staying here, he sounds like Thurston Howell III from Gilligan's Island!!! Anyway, I digress! Any suggestions of room requests or dinner for Christmas Eve (my husband is used to a traditional seafood dinner on Christmas Eve). Where should we go Christmas Day? Did I choose wisely with a 16yr old and 12 yr old to stay here? Does this resort have a whirlpool? After 15+ times over the last 5 yrs, you want to make it different and new, especially at Christmas. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you want a nice seafood dinner with a great view looking toward MK check out Narcoosee's - they have a good menu for that evening.

I second Nacroosee's for dinner on Christmas Eve. We flew in late last Christmas Day and had dinner there. The food was very good, the ambience was great, and the view of the MK was the best.

After dinner, our 16 year old DD went up to our room at the GF, and my lovely spouse and I rode the boat around the 7 seas lagoon. When we got on the CM asked our destination, and we told him "the GF!" He told us he knew the route, and we just rode around under the stars, watching, approaching the Poly, then MK, then back to the GF. A really lovely end to a great day.

Enjoy

The YC/BC have the best pool on property, plus several jacuzzis. Your children will love it and the location is wonderful. We had a view of the boat dock for xmas one year it was wonderful to sit out and watch the boats and the lighthouse, dont think this was a standard room though.
Narcoosees at GF is good but I would suggest the Flying Fish at the BWI and for xmas day Yachtsmans Steakhouse.

Menus will appear at www. wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm.
She has the Thanksgiving ones up and the xmas will be similar.
