Hi - we have now booked Hard Rock for a week from 30th Dec 2010 until 6th Jan 2011!!:yay::yay:

We plan on pretty much leaving the rides until Jan 2nd onwards, as I assume things will get quieter after New Years Day?? Am I right??:confused3:thumbsup2

But I would also like to see the Christmas stuff (Grinchmas and Macys parade I believe are the main things??!!:confused3;)) - so would be prepared to 'brave' the parks on 12/30 and New Years Day for a little bit (we are going offsite for NYE!!:thumbsup2)

What strategy would you adopt with two young boys (3 and 6) - would you just do the parade/grinchmas and leave or do you think the play areas will be ok as there isn't really queueing?? :confused3

I am conscious that I don't want to put the children (and DH!!:lmao:) off of the parks just becuase the first couple of days will be insanely busy!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

thanks for any advice!!:thumbsup2

Congrats on the trip! I'm sure you'll love Universal at Christmas time and if you've never been during the holidays, you are in for a wonderful surprise!

I think the play areas would be OK for the kids...just let them run wild!

No problem...your kids will love the parade and the Grinchmas show and the parks & hotels are beautifully decorated for the holidays.
