This cabin is on Dave's noisy rooms to avoid!!! I am starting to freak out! Has anyone stayed in this room and is it really noisy? Should I be thinking about asking for an upgrade once we get to port? We sail September 12, 2004. HELP!!!!:faint:

First, in my experience, not all rooms listed as noisy actually are. Secondly, if you get on board and the room really is noisy, ask to be moved. Even on supposedly "full" cruises, there are cabins available that are used for such situations.

We were on a "full" cruise and had a non-functioning sleeper couch in our cabin. After 2 attemps to repair it, DCL moved us down the hall to another cabin in our same category.

We stayed in this room on our first cruise in 2000. It was actually the quietist room we have ever stayed in.

This past july we were in room 2132 and it was the noisiest but was not on Dave's noisy list

I appreciate your responses. I am feeling better. When I went back to do some more checking I realized that we were upgraded!! If I am reading in the deck plans correctly LOL. We originally booked as a Gty Cat 12.

you now have a 10. congrats, it will be fine,

My parents and kids were in room 1060. They loved it and felt it was very quiet. They loved Deck 1 because there are far fewer people on that deck.

We were in 1048. It was very quiet and a great location. The only noise we encountered was in St. Maarten during the moring when it sounded like they were working on the outisde of the ship. There were loud, banging noises. But it only lasted a little while.
