Westjet Vacations

I was wondering if anyone has booked a vacation package through Westjet Vacations? Do you know of any problems dealing with them?

I have a good friend of mine that works for WestJet and he claims that WestJet vacations is pretty good. The only problem for me though is that flights from Calgary to Orlando go through Toronto. Toronto is notorious for losing baggage and being off schedule. As my friend puts it, Toronto is the "black hole for baggage". Hope this helps.

Does Westjet Vacations have direct flights? I know you can book direct with no layover if you just want a flight but am unsure if you book a package.

It deoends on where you are flying from. If you are in TO then it flys straight to Orlando from there. If you are from anywhere else you will likly have to fly to TO.

Why does Westjet vacations stop in Toronto when I can get a direct flight to Orlando from Calgary if I don't book a package?

I don't think you can fly directly to Orlando from Calgary on WestJet. I'll check with my friend that works there but I thought he told me that we'd have to go thru TO if we decided to go w/ WestJet.

Actually you can fly direct and they are charging 4200 for 5 seats which is why I am looking for a seat sale. It is VERY cold. My Dad was driving home today by Waterton and could see the snow on the hills.

Yes, you can fly direct from Calgary to Orlando. We did this last year at the end of October to mid-November. We absolutely LOVED IT!! At that time we left at 7 in the morning and ended up getting into Orlando around 1:15 in the afternoon. It is such a pleasure not to have to switch planes. We don't mind paying a little extra for the pleasure of a direct flight. In our minds it is completely worth it!! As for the Westjet Vacations, I'm sorry I don't know anything about those.
