Westgate Vacation Villas and Charlie

O.K., so I know I am a few days behind, but I am going to ask anyway. Does anyone if Westgate Vacation Villas (off 192) had any problems from the hurricane? We own there and I was just wondering.

I probably shouldn't say without knowing for sure, but I was down there during hurricane Charley and heard nothing about serious resort damage - We did hear there was minimal damage here and there such as trees down, power lines, signs torn apart etc. - I'm sure the resort itself is fine - We saw some of the damage in the area and I would say Orlando was lucky (for the most part) - You may want to call them to be sure - Are you pleased with Westgate Villas? We passed that resort quite a bit on our trip.

Also curious how you enjoy the resort. We are staying there over Halloween. Have heard mixed reviews but looking forward to staying there.

We have owned at Westgate for 11 years now and stayed there several times. It has always been very nice.

The villas are very nice, very large and roomy. They have lots of pools.

We have had good responses from house keeping or maint. whenever we needed anything. (No major maint. problems)

We have also rented it out to several friends, some have even gone multiple times and they all enjoyed it.

There are lots of activities, also.

It is also very close to Disney! I think it takes us about 10 minutes to get from our villa to the Disney parking lots, if even that long. They put a traffic light in where you turn off of 192, so that has helped, especially coming into the property.
