My friends and I want to go to WDW for spring break, but obviously our funds are limited. My aunt has a time share with Westgate Resorts and she saidwe could use it for that week. Has anyone stayed in one of their hotels? Did you like it? We are mostly considering Blue Tree, any thoughts. :confused3

Let me steer you over to tripadvisor.com. Run a search on whichever Westgates you are considering. I've only had one marginal stay at a Westgate (too far from the pool too near construction, one of the oldest units etc etc). In any case avoiding the sales pitch is a good idea.

If your aunt owns with CFI (the company that runs the westgate's) odds are you'll tend to get something along the lines of whatever you request.

Oh back to trip advisor...you'll see some rave reviews over there and some disasters. One place I'd steer you away from for now is the Westgate Palace. It's under construction.

You can also run a search in this website on Westgate and Bluetree but I think you'll get a more balanced set of views over on tripadvisor.

I;ve never stayed at Bluetree so I can't speak to that. I enjoyed building 2500 on the Lakes but apparently any of the lake front buildings you'd be well advised to get anything but a first floor room.

We stayed at Westgate vacation Villas. We booked through the entertainment book so it was supposed to be more like renting a hotel room than a time share. It wasn't, the high pressure sales pitches that came one right after another were terrible. They even went as far as telling us that if we didn't come to one of the sales pitches and sign the matience report we would be held responsible if the party after us broke anything.

Now it might be different for you since your aunt aready owns the time share, and on the positive side the landscaping was beautiful and the rooms were average. But I swore I'd never again step foot in a Westgate property again.
