Ok, here goes!
I got a special package from Westgate for giving referrals to them last year. I called and booked a 4 day 3 night for $99.00. I signed the confirmation and sent it in on 4/5/02. My dad's currently in the hospital and my aunt's in ICU in another hospital. So, I'm already STRESSED OUT! Well, we decided to cancel. I called 1-800-218-4363 and spoke to a guy (didn't get his name big mistake!!) but everything seemed to be going great. I gave him my certificate number and he said that it was cancelled no problem. So, I asked if my credit card was going to be adjusted for the $99.00. Of course! Yeah, HELLO! about an hour later Brenda Swan calls and says she's returning my call. I was clueless. I told her that it was taken care of and that my credit card will be adjusted for the $99.00. She said no it won't and that she could not cancel the package. I said oh, yes it will be because I'm going to contact EVERYONE I can and trust me, THIS ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED!! and WESTGATE, your definetly playing with the wrong person here because I won't keep my mouth shut until you credit my credit card. Getting back to Brenda, I asked how she got my number and she said it was forwarded to her by _______. I should have hurried and wrote his name down. Then I was furious wrote her name down and asked for his name again and she wouldn't give it. I asked for her manager's name Lesley Felkner. I wanted her number and guess what?? This manager doesn't have a phone lol only a computer. Yes, Brenda your speaking to a complete idiot over here. Come on!
Well, Lesley Felkner has a computer. She gave me her address. I'm going to contact the BBB bureau of Orland & also the courts. I will post a followup. Please read the other threads about Westgate and think, think, think before you book with this company!!! Seriously! That's another reason I wanted to cancel. The contract only states that date changes made within 7 days prior to arrival will be subject to a $50 processing fee and date changes made within 48 hours prior to arrival will be subject to a charge equal to 1 night. Today is 4/17. They have more than enough notice. Brenda also told me that my time was up for cancelling. I said it don't say that in my contract. She then replied that it didn't have to.. How absurd!!
