Do any of the dining locations on property offer food to go?

From what I can see, Hearthstone has a counter with prepared grab-and-go foods, but I'm curious about the option to order off the sit-down menu from, say, Craftsman or Hearthstone, and take the food back to our room.

The standard and courtyard rooms are the same size.

I think a 2-Q, 1 daybed (couch that converts to a single) might be a good configuration for your family 😊.

Other than suites, I think all of the GCH rooms are the same general size.
Thanks! I might switch to Courtyard because it would be neat to see the Monorail, but I mostly want to be close to the 3rd floor lobby which I think isn't near the courtyard.

I'd love to get a room with 2 Q, 1 daybed and a sleeper chair but I think those are rare.

Hopefully someone who's spent more time at the GCH can provide better information, but FYI, the trees in the Brisa Courtyard have really grown, so at least some of the rooms now have a fairly obscured view of the monorail. This photo was taken from a room on the north side of the courtyard. We could still see the monorail, and hear its soft whoosh, but we couldn't see the whole thing as was possible years ago. The trees themselves were lovely, and they, too, make a pleasant sound when it's windy.

I actually like the trees better than the Monorail lol. I would love that view!

I also like how that view seems to guarantee you won't be way down at the Pixar Place end of the hotel. Not sure where it is compared to the elevators, though.

We have a stay coming up in just over a month and I’m seeing conflicting information. So I wanted to ask the experts here, for EE at DCA is it better to use the Grizzly River Run entrance or go through DTD and use the front entrance? If it matters, our plan was to rope drop Guardians.

I use the front entrance. That puts you really close to Guardians. The "rope drop" from there is close to Award Weiners, which is very close to the ride.

Agree. If you want Guardians, use the DTD entrance. Use the other entrance if you want soarin' or something on that side. We have done both depending on what we want to ride.

My post from 2016, before the first renovation:
You are correct, 2 queens and a daybed are only Standard view.
Floors 2 - 6 (there is no 2101), so 39 daybed rooms:

Those 39 rooms are larger than regular rooms, and some are likely now 2 queen + daybed + sleeper chair.
Another option is to request King + daybed (which will always have a sleeper chair), which are more common and spread throughout the hotel

Last summer, we got food to go at Craftsman Grill for breakfast and took it back to our room to eat.

Thank you! This is very helpful :) I like the idea of the King+Sleeper chair and daybed. Are sleeper chairs small or could they hold a teenager? (5'6" girl)

Can anyone confirm the current status of the entrance from the DVC wing/BBQ area into Pixar Pier? Is it open or closed? Thanks!
