Hello all. Just back in the groove at work from our Honeymoon cruise so I thought I'd share what I could. The participants are me (27) and my new Disney Wife (28). I didn't take any detailed notes on the cruise so I'm just going to deliver what I can from memory. Here it goes.
April 19 - Arrived at the port around 1:00pm, checked in, and headed to our room, #7568. I can't for the life of me remember our Stateroom Host's name, but he was excellent. We saw him all the time and he always had a smile for us. We were pleased to learn that Brent was our Cruise Director. We had him on our first (and only previous) cruise on the Wonder in Sept of 2006. We went to the welcome aboard party and met one of our favorite cast members of the week, Luke, who was one of the Hosts. He did many of the shows and parties. Dinner was at 8:30 (PLLAPLA). Our server was Petr (Czech Republic) and Assistant Server was Isaac (Nigeria). Petr was a lot of fun and gradually shared more information about himself as the trip went on. Isaac was a bit shy but still great. The head server was Fitz from Jamaica. He was a great guy too. Our dinner companions were a Mom from Boston and her 9 year old son. We barely spoke on the first night because it was a little awkward, but as the week wore on we started chatting much more. At dinner we noticed another young couple at the table next to us who were seated by themselves. We thought about striking up a conversation with them, as we were both in similar situations but were too shy.
After dinner we went to check out or second home of the night, the Sessions bar. On our last cruise on the Wonder, we spent a fair amount of time at the Cadillac Lounge and became quite friendly with the bartender, Catalina. This time was no exception as we became very friendly with Yusef, the bartender. We ultimately visited him every night and closed the place out at midnight.
Time for lunch. More to come later.
