Hi All-

I have been to Grand Caymen and Cozumel many time but never with our 2 and 5 year old DS's. I was thinking of taking a taxi to 7 Mile beach in GC for a beach day but was not sure if they have bathrooms or anywhere to purchase water etc.? How is 7 mile beach?

I did the sting ray city last month and with out my DH traveling with us in October I do not feel confidant enough to take both boys with me by myself.

In Cozumel I thought a taxi to Chakanab would fun, I hear the beach is good for little and big ones and they have the dolphins and sea lions. Is the price still $10 for adults and 5 and under free?

Key West-I heard you can purchase trolley tickets on line. Has anyone done this and the trolley or is the train better?

Thanks!!!
Tiff

I don't have children but I might be able to give you some ideas anyway. :)

Can't help with Grand Cayman or Cozumel specifically because this will be our first time there. I do know that I've heard wonderful things about kids and Chakanaab so that sounds like a wonderful idea. According to their website, the price is still $10 for adults and 5 and under free (it might be 6 and under).

I also think a visit to the Sally's minigolf would be a fun diversion. I don't know if we'll have time for it (we're doing the Fury Sail, Snorkel, and Beach party) but will try. She says it should take about an hour give or take.

As for Key West, I've not done the trolley but I did do the train. Fun and you can hope on and off as often as you like (double check though if you do this just in case it's changed). You get a sticker that you wear. You get a tour and if you see something you want to spend more time off, hope off at the stop and be back there when you want to continue. I've used the train in St. Augustine and it was also wonderful.

Good luck!

Did you get tickets beforehand or in Key West for the train. Any idea how far the trolley or train depot is from the dock we come in at? Will my Mom need to take her scooter or wheelchair or can we walk or take a taxi?

The trolley and train depots (they are in the same place) are just a couple of blocks from where you dock. The walk from the ship to the end of the dock was longer than from the end of the dock to the square where you get the trolley and train as I recall.
