I know you guys never met my Gretchen (11 year old) but she is such a great kid. Tonight was her 6th grade graduation. She was awarded the Principal Award.....Best Overall Kid at the School. They pick one girl and one boy. It was really funny the reactions of the other parents. It was weird.

Anyway, she is so sad because her elementary splits up to 3 middle schools..and she feels like she has lost many friends.

Congrats to Gretchen!

What did the other parents do? Seems like applause is in order.

My new goal is to clean out the house as if we were moving. I'm going to go through every cabinet and drawer and get rid of a lot of things. This is the longest we've ever lived in a house and I feel like we need to move so I'm hoping this helps.
That is just what I want to do too Gaylean. Pretend we are moving. But, we're not, so getting down to doing the clear out is not really happening!:rotfl:
The weather here is weird this year. It was 90 one day and 65 the next and now it is cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. It is suppose to be 90 today so that will be good.
Brooke just told me she was bored. We usually take a vacation right now for my birthday and Father's Day but we didn't this year and now I'm sad we didn't. I need to get this cruise out of my head! I will take the kids to the beach next week and today I thought we would stay in our pjs.
I somehow missed this before, but this is a great idea! Since I should get an extra day of freedom this weekend, I think I might try to start doing something similar. I need to start with my kitchen because there's too much stuff that falls out when I open a cupboard door. Mostly too many plastic reusable containers & cups that have accumulated.
Me next!!! We really need to get rid of a lot of stuff before the move. even though we're not packing this time I still want to take this as an opportunity to get rid of all the stuff we don't need or want.

Just keep asking, “Does this clutter make my butt look fat?”

We are trying to move to an ocean view, so we have to downsize the junk.

We break down the house room by room and drawer by drawer. Everyone is in charge of something each day. It’s easier to tackle this way. It all goes into rubbermaids and into the office for sorting: give away, donate, sell on Ebay, sell at garage sale. Nothing new comes into the house.

PERFECT!:cool1: :cool1: we are on our way:moped: Oh wait, there is that little thing called work that would probably mind! :( Just got home from it...but my talk was pretty good.

Kelly: PM me your email addy and I can try and email off the powerpoint if you are really interested.

Congrats! Glad it went well, I'll PM you my address! Can't wait this is something we are very interested in. Also, we are looking for guests to discuss this type of subjects for our show. I'll let you know as we get further along in our planning if you're interested.

Hi everyone! I haven't been on here at all but things have been crazy!! Since we got back I have been to Michigan and now my mom is here for the summer. So all the talk about cleaning made me feel guilty . . . I had Merry Maids come and clean while I went to get my Mom!!! The house looks beautiful. Work has been crazy because we are getting ready to relocate to a different floor in the building - I'm losing my view of DL! I'm so sad about that. Anyway, I'm co-managing the move and it takes so much time. I'll try to get on here more often for sure!

Gaylean mentioned that she's trying to get the cruise out of her head . . . that is still all I talk about! It seems like every conversation ends up there. I loved every minute of it!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Susie, I've been wondering where you have been....

You could sell the souvenir menus on eBay. Menu

Woody

I have tons of cruise stuff to sell.

OF COURSE!!!!!
My bday was pretty lame this year...Scott left for Vegas that day and it seems everyone around here forgot it was my bday :( I bought myself a new computer and a new cell phone to make up for it all! :lmao: :thumbsup2
Well that MUST be a Gemini thing. I sent out emails and have discussed it on here. This is THE first birthday that I didn't make a HUGE deal of it. I had my fun on the cruise and now we don't have a lot of money. Maybe we can stay in Scottsdale and have a post meet. We love it there.
Everyone keeps asking what I will do. I just say "I had my fun". Everyone, including Jon, is wondering if I'm expecting more. I'm so satisfied. I'm 33. Now at 40 I expect more than a Disney Cruise!
For my 40th I am throwing myself a surprise party...it was going to be in Vegas, but, hmmmmmm, a DCL cruise sounds like a better idea!:thumbsup2

All this b’day talk…. My 40th b’day was the week of 9/11, so it was quite a let down, but my 40’s have been my best decade ever. Everyone says that 50’s are the new 40’s and fantastic, so if this decade has been great, I think the next one will be terrific. It’s right around the corner for me.

Our summer vacation is 10 weeks too. For me it's always too short...we love laying around the house doing nothing or going to our friends pool for the day.

Can’t imagine a summer that I won’t be taking classes and writing, writing, writing. 2 more years I should be done with school and maybe I’ll be laying around too! Now I need a pool!

If we played our cards right we could pawn off our kids to each other for 1 week at a time, and get 2 weeks with out them, hmmmmm bliss for 2 and chaos for 1, totally worth it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, Camp Kelly can open. Conveniently located half way between the beach and Disneyland, always plenty to do. They will return full of knowledge about theater arts, life skills, gardening, make-overs, sports, the love of food and cooking. I don’t teach swimming and they must bring their own sleeping bags. Yes, its expensive and we take paypal!

OK, done posting for today, off to exercise and then to work, princess party, and house organzing. Have a great day everyone.

They'll also return well behaved!

Good Morning

Lisa, disneylover, lovely photos:thumbsup2

I was looking at ebay and see some people are selling things from Panama Cruise!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Spectacular-D...NameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em122

same thing I got it and I won't sell it and I keep it.::yes::

WEIRD! or is it WIERD!?
(Neither spelling looks right today.)

They are all posted by the same person. He has a lot of other menus also. If he takes them for free and sells them for a pound or two, he makes money. And isn't "taking them for free" the same as stealing? The Mexican Riviera menu would have been used by on the summer cruises and the Panama Canal Eastbound repositioning cruise. I can understand them giving us the EAST MEETS WEST menu as that will not happen again.:goodvibes

BUT

why would anyone want a menu if they were not there? If he asked for the menu, he may have been told it was fine to take one as the person he asked may have assumed he wanted it for scrapbooking.
But to sell it? :confused3
I do not get it.

That's really hard for a scrapbooker - we have a tendency to collect things :thumbsup2

I'll be more than happy to celebrate my 40th next year on the b2b (eventho that's in Sept and bday is not til Nov). What could be better than DCL and good friends?

I'm sure. I must have been crazy when I wrote that :faint:
