I'll be more than happy to celebrate my 40th next year on the b2b (eventho that's in Sept and bday is not til Nov). What could be better than DCL and good friends?
I'm talking to myself this morning.....now...what was it that Karen used to type?
Ding a danga ding?
I hope to celebrate with you Monica. It would be our 40th wedding anniversary celebration too.

Have to go out now Monica. See you later.![]()
Cheri I am completely disappointed.
I went for a walk yesterday around our River front trail. It reminded me of getting up and walking around the decks on the ship.
Oh look it's the Gatun Lake!

Ooops nope that's just the Quesnel River...
The disappointment came when I didn't run into you along the trail, like I usually did on the deck. And DrHug wasn't at any of the prime photo taking places along the walk either. And Nan, Gaylean and Steph weren't down by the pool. Come to think of it there wasn't even a pool!!! Matt and Jill were no where to be found needing a pic to be taken of them together.
However, my alarm clock went off and I had to go pick the kids up from the kids club (daycare) earlier than I wanted ... That seemed really familiar!
I know you guys never met my Gretchen (11 year old) but she is such a great kid. Tonight was her 6th grade graduation. She was awarded the Principal Award.....Best Overall Kid at the School. They pick one girl and one boy. It was really funny the reactions of the other parents. It was weird.
Anyway, she is so sad because her elementary splits up to 3 middle schools..and she feels like she has lost many friends.

Dennis is still not over it. He went to urgent care and got antibiotics last Thursday and seems a bit better now, but wow! it has lasted forever with him. It is making me nervous, but he was checked and our local urgent care has always been really good. They did catch pneumonia with him a couple of years ago.
To everyone still suffering from the "cruise crud", take it easy and remember, rest and water are 2 of the best things you can do for yourself! I hope you all get better very quickly.
Kelly, let us know when you start your podcasts! I'd love to check them out.

I dont normally post things like this, but I feel very strongly that this is an exception.
The wife of my close colleague is a violin teacher in a non-profit school that develops the musical gifts of inner city children. Her name is Shalisa Kline-Ugaz.
She is incredibly dedicated to the kids.
This past year, one of her students had problems because their family was poor and there were basic problems with their housing. Shalisa, somehow, got Extreme Home Makeover to do a super make over on her students familys home.
Shalisa has gain reputation for such dedication to these kids, that a local television station recently did a news piece on her:
http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/someone_you_should_know&id=6159845
Shalisa, unknown to her, was nominated by her boss (the head of the school) for the Energizer Hall of Fame.
She had been chosen as a semi-finalist. The winner is determined, by Internet vote.
Please vote for Shalisa, I think she is a great person and a great inspiration and deserves recognition. You can vote once per day. Also please pass this on to other people.
Here is the link to vote:

Please pass this on to other people, and I hope, if no one minds, that I from time to time post reminders to vote.

Was that you just behind the old Hudson's Bay building around the corner?

At first I thought this was the Mickey pool, it's about the same size, but then I figured it would be difficult to keep the water in ...

The tower to climb the slide is a real pain to go up as well...
