We can comfortable sleep the 6 of us!! :thumbsup2 :moped:

you said 6 kids???? okay I've got just the ones for you, start up there and head my way for +2 then a bit further south, oh well you may as well grab gaylean's and lisa's they are small you can hold 8 right? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hmm Matt, I feel for you buddy. Just note how excited she is to be heading to the beach WITHOUT you! Perhaps the last vacation was too much time together??!! LOL:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I noticed that she no longer complains about those two Saturdays I had to work before the cruise :rotfl2:

Both Jill and my manager will be gone the same week, so I think I'll recover from the cruise that week ;)

WOW! That happened to me too.

I thought we should move. I was restless where we were. Loved the house. Loved the neighbors. Loved our friends. Loved our church. There were no problems. I just felt like we should move.

I cleaned out cabinets and closets like you said. I hate yard sales so I took bags of things to my homecare clients and invited them to help themselves. "Jan's roving yard sale" but all items were free.

We did not move right away, but when we finally moved I had gotten so much done, it was easier to pack, sort and pitch.

Good luck with this!

Jan :earsgirl:

Thank you. I will do it someday :rolleyes1

That is a camp out of a life time.....for the kids at least!

Does your MH have room for 4 more? We're there! Not so sure our van and tent trailer would make that long of trek together. V would love having us all crash in her yard for a while, right V?!

YES! Come on over - the pool is awesome and we can get the blender going!

Here is the pic I took of it...

he didn't infuse the teacher ones, although I bet they'd like it, huh?
:

Uhhh...yeah! I love chocolate/liquor/fruit combos! You can have a big plate fixed up for me when I swing by to visit you this fall!

Because there were problems with the link in my original posting, I am reposting it again here, this time with a link that works.

I've added this to my tool bar so I'll remember to vote every day!

Our neighbour Quintin passed away in the night. He was just home from hospital a little over 3 days. It is still such a shock as he was fine when we set off on vacation a little over 5 weeks ago. Well, he had apparently had a few headaches that the Doc put down to stress, but this was a very aggressive tumour. At least he is out of pain. Please remember his wife, Jetta, and 2 children. Jetta and Quintin only moved here from Scotland this last New Year.

Oh Marilyn, my condolences to you and John. I lost a friend earlier this year in about 6 weeks and that seemed like the blink of an eye. Life is so precious and also so uncertain. Events like this confirm for me that I did the right thing by taking this cruise (or things like that). I will keep you & his family in prayer.

Yes, I have Handbrake and it's wonderful! It's how I take videos from DVDs and put them on my iPod. Also a good application is Audio Hijack, though that is for audio only, but what it does is capture ANY audio that can play through your Mac, so it could be a broadcast, etc. It's how I take sound off of DVDs.

I just went to their web site and downloaded the demo of AHPro. Apparently you can't download AH itself any more.

Tyler's first day of the summer child care program through his school district was yesterday. The school also provides FREE breakfast AND lunch to ALL kids for the summer! :yay: Way cool! Sure cuts down on my grocery bill.

Keeping kids busy and happy during summer is a real challenge, especially for single parents! It sounds like your school provides a good program.

We the announcement of Staples finally buying us (July 2008) everyone is looking for work......I am just ready to retire....I wish I could figure that out.

Well I've got a bottle here just waiting for someone to share it with!
Hey....that reminds me. We had a bottle at dinner one night and didn't finish it, they saved it for us but we never got it back (well, never asked for it either)! AND the night we opened it was a night you weren't at dinner, because I was going to send a glass over to you. :worried:

Yeah...what DID happen to that bottle, I wonder????

NO....I wouldn't laugh at you (Peg might). Well, the dumping out the purse moment may have gotten a chuckle out of me. ;)

Phone never did turn up. I got my new one today and have it set up.

We got advised yesterday that they are 'freezing' our retirement fund (with modest cost of living increases to be applied each year). BUT, they are increasing our 401K match to $ for $ instead of 50 cents on the dollar for an up to 5% contribution. There was an interesting note that 30% of the employees do NOT (currently) use the 401K...and this is a hugh Fortune500 company. That really surprised me. Not saving something in a company match 401K is like turning away free money!
.

:thumbsup2

I'm supposed to be writing an article a day for our podcast and radio show (launching this summer), but have been semi avoiding work until I have a thoroughly purged house. I keep saying, "Does this clutter make my butt look fat?" (for those who don't know that is the title of the Peter Walsh book.)

Kelly, let us know when you start your podcasts! I'd love to check them out.

My new goal is to clean out the house as if we were moving. I'm going to go through every cabinet and drawer and get rid of a lot of things. This is the longest we've ever lived in a house and I feel like we need to move so I'm hoping this helps.

All this talk about cleaning and purging is making me feel uneasy and guilty. I think I'll go to Wal Mart and buy a bunch of junk I don't need until the feeling goes away!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good luck with that. I hope they don't get bored as easily as Brooke does. She told me she was bored and I told her we had all summer to play and have fun and she told me I had all summer to play on the computer.

Out of the mouths of babes....:rotfl2:

I somehow missed this before, but this is a great idea! Since I should get an extra day of freedom this weekend, I think I might try to start doing something similar. I need to start with my kitchen because there's too much stuff that falls out when I open a cupboard door. Mostly too many plastic reusable containers & cups that have accumulated.

There's such a thing as "too many plastic reusable containers & cups"???

Hi everyone! I haven't been on here at all but things have been crazy!! Since we got back I have been to Michigan and now my mom is here for the summer. So all the talk about cleaning made me feel guilty . . . I had Merry Maids come and clean while I went to get my Mom!!! The house looks beautiful. Work has been crazy because we are getting ready to relocate to a different floor in the building - I'm losing my view of DL! I'm so sad about that. Anyway, I'm co-managing the move and it takes so much time. I'll try to get on here more often for sure!

Gaylean mentioned that she's trying to get the cruise out of her head . . . that is still all I talk about! It seems like every conversation ends up there. I loved every minute of it!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Susie--I used to have Merry Maids when I was working. I loved them!

As far as thinking about the cruise--I'm still dreaming about it, as well as talking about it! :cool1:

Do any of you enjoy a dining review thread? Well this one is fab. She is funny, thin, and eats twice as much as me

Can I come back as her in my next life????

Sorry about your phone. :( You are welcome to borrow my Tag :thumbsup2

I took Tom's phone swimming at Quiet Cove Pool. After three weeks of drying it was still not right. We put his memory into my phone and now I have a Raspberry. I did not want a Raspberry, I just wanted a phone, but I am learning the stuff faster than I expected and enjoying it.

I also got water in the underwater digital camera. Not good. We bought a new camera from Shutters by the same company to use for Panama Canal Day. I did not want to touch it for fear I would damage it. Tom had a ball running around taking pictures. I staked a claim to a piece of railing on Deck 4 Starboard under the first lifeboat. Would that be Life Boat 1? We are going to send the camera off to be fixed.

Jan :earsgirl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Great stories! Make me feel better!;)

Anyone else see their photos on here and think 'that's it I'm on a diet from NOW'!!!?:scared1:

Ah... YEAH... but I said that before this trip too... but I'm trying... :)

Yesterday was my second time back leading WW meetings.

I weighed in and I'm happy to report that I lost 3.1 lbs from the Sunday before, a combination of strict point tracking and increased activity.

My members insisted that I give myself stars, so my name tag was covered in "Bravos."

It felt good to be back on track. I also feel great eating healthier again.

I need to get at least 10 pounds under my goal weight in preparation for the next cruise!

:yay: :yay: :yay:  (the banana is for the .1... and it's a FRUIT... so it's good too!!!)

None of our postcards have arrived yet from the PC day. I know that is Central America and we are the UK, but how about the rest of you?

Ours were here when we got home... no postmark...

Our terminally ill neighbour is coming home from hospital today. His wife said she didn't want a hospice, so our UK Cancer nursing service - Macmillans are going to be looking after him overnight. When we went on holiday just 5 weeks ago he was fine.:(

Marilyn... our thoughts always

OK in addition to the trip to DL, there's going to be a wedding.

Sukie and I just extended our trip in September to arrive a night earlier on Thursday, the 4th of September, so we can go get a license and get hitched over the weekend.

I wonder if we should consider DL the honeymoon?

Not sure if the Jungle Cruise or the Haunted Mansion is representative.

Hmmmmm.... We'll have to find a good veggie place for Sukie to have dinner... and us too...

The kids and I are thinking of Father's Day plans.

Here are the ideas in the hopper (random order) :

Indy Movie
Day at the Beach (Half Moon Bay)
Hooters for wings and Gin & Tonic (for Paul) rum something for me
The kids are drawing him a picture of a big screen tv (wall mount) but since he bought the go-kart trailer it's just gonna be a picture for now
Duct tape wallet (got an email from Family Fun magazine)
Breakfast of some sort that we make for him, most likely Dutch Babies

That is the list I think we most likely will do them all, but it will depend on energy that day.:faint:

Nan... please don't get your fingers stuck together with all that duct tape!!! :rotfl:

Yeah, it's called the "Runner's Package" because as soon as they see you doing it you'll be running from security! :rotfl2:

It's a special Disney price of only $4500 which includes:

Parking (extra charge of $9.00)
Offciate (extra charge of $150)
1 night stay in Disney jail (extra charge of $200, plus tip)
Wedding photograph posted around the park for all security employees to see ($100)
A greeting with Mickey Mouse where he punches you in the gut and tells you "Hi ya pal! Get off my property!" (extra charge for medical expenses)

:lmao:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Priceless!!!

Day 1 of my new lifestyle went well....now on to day 2!!

You Go GIRL!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Cheri I am completely disappointed.

I went for a walk yesterday around our River front trail. It reminded me of getting up and walking around the decks on the ship.

Oh look it's the Gatun Lake!
133858.jpg

Ooops nope that's just the Quesnel River...

The disappointment came when I didn't run into you along the trail, like I usually did on the deck. And DrHug wasn't at any of the prime photo taking places along the walk either. And Nan, Gaylean and Steph weren't down by the pool. Come to think of it there wasn't even a pool!!! Matt and Jill were no where to be found needing a pic to be taken of them together.

However, my alarm clock went off and I had to go pick the kids up from the kids club (daycare) earlier than I wanted ... That seemed really familiar!

That kids club always ends to early :furious:

I know you guys never met my Gretchen (11 year old) but she is such a great kid. Tonight was her 6th grade graduation. She was awarded the Principal Award.....Best Overall Kid at the School. They pick one girl and one boy. It was really funny the reactions of the other parents. It was weird.

Anyway, she is so sad because her elementary splits up to 3 middle schools..and she feels like she has lost many friends.

You must be do proud. This how I felt on the cruise. I knew I wouldn't see most people again.

Nan thanks. I think we're just going to get married at the county courthouse. Nothing special, though we will be celebrating in Disneyland.

Now on another matter ... do you think Sukie and I should register at Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts?

TIFFANY'S
Hey... save one for me!!!! ;)

If I saved one for you too, then we'd all talk so much that Paul would leave, which would be good, because Lisa has hers staked out all day. Right Pally???:lmao:[/QUOTE]

Ok... I'll just drag my own over!!! :rotfl:

On the last night, we had a birthday cake for Tyler and our server Louis put frosting on his face!

This just cracked me up! I've never seen a mountain of luggage like this!

P1000932.jpg

Ok who else was looking into that pile and trying to see if they see their luggage?

ME... and I see mine on the left hand side... green bag... red mickey tag... and I wonder why my bag got lost!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:
