There were people who looked at me like I was strange or a stalker when I spoke to them when they had a lanyard and I did too. :confused3

We are home, hit the ground running and are doing fine.

Strangest thing is going places and NOT seeing familiar faces.

Jan :earsgirl:
JAN! I was wondering when we'd see you here. It was so great to meet you onboard after reading all your excellent info over the past year. :goodvibes

ok, pork in the crock pot for shredded pork sammies, beans about to go in the oven, coleslaw and 7 layer salad in fridge and the wine chilling.

Summer, I love it!

A gorgeous 98 here today. and I was jealous at the grocery store - I shouldn't be, I should love that people come here, where I live, to vacation....I just wish I had the vacation - don't care - 'tude!

I'm TOTALLY jealous! We had 50 and cloudy today (ok it might have hit 60). They have predicted that we will have 2 more months of mid 50-60 and rain and then August our highs will be mid 70s:furious: Hopefully they are wrong, but even my mother said she is almost done with this weather...but if she were to move she is heading to Montana or back to Jackson Hole!

Going through the first set of locks on PC crossing day:

Great photo!
Also glad to hear that the school situation is looking good for Tyler!
Jan :earsgirl:

Jill was cold the entire cruise? I just can't imagine that.

What a sweetie!! Sure glad to have met her and Matt. Their scavenger hunt was fun and we got photos we would never have taken otherwise.

I sure wish there was some way to give her a "fat transplant." I have plenty to spare and it would have helped keep her warm.

When our son phoned to ask how the vacation had gone he asked if we would like to move to Florida(or the US as a whole). I said you bet, but we can't, not allowed. :worried: He just thought we could all up sticks and move over. Florida would just be full of Brits if that was the case.:rotfl2:

Hey, a quarter of the people here in the valley have moved in without 'permission'! :rotfl2: (OK, a gross exaggeration...)

Johnny just got home, made him a chese/cracker olive pickle tray - Haley is grabbing all the olives!!:rotfl:

Something I always got in trouble for. The relish tray was never placed on the table before everyone sat down....otherwise they would all mysteriously disappear before dinner. I can't begin to tell you how many olives I had on the cruise...nearly as much of that as of pineapple (sorry I ate all the pineapple folks ;) ) Transatlantic ran out of Mickey Bars, we ran out of pineapple. BUT, did you notice? They still had some in the bars for the adult beverages. ::yes::

Nan, just wanted to say how much I enjoyed sitting across from you guys at dinner the first night at the Hyatt. I could not get over at how polite and well mannered your kids are. Wilson was amazing with his unsolicited please and thank yous to his father.

Ditto that! And Molly was my perfect bread basket partner. :thumbsup2

.
Well, 5PM and I've managed to avoid work of any kind today. Good job, Jackie! I wonder how much I can shirk tomorrow? I did bring office work home OR I could go into the office for other projects OR I could do housework OR I could read my Jimmy Buffet novel. Hmmmmmm? :scratchin

.

Great pics Holly! Are you just so excited to have your computer back? :goodvibes

. . . We're moving to Jacksonville, FL the end of July . . .

Wow, quite the move. That is where our table mates were from and our Travel Agent, Chuck from All Seasons Travel. We really like him and his company if you are looking for a nice family style agency.
We are also extremely pleased with Chuck and All Seasons Travel.

. . . Ian, I live in the gayest state in the US and never in my life have I heard anyone say "Lady-boys"

Never heard it either, though the Governor has mentioned "girly man."

Woody

. . . check out the dates for the Flower & Garden Festival in Epcot, I think that's usually April/May (maybe just April). I really enjoyed that!
Before the cruise, we enjoyed the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. (March 19 - June 1, 2008)

We also enjoyed the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. (April 11 - May 5, 2008)

Hello!

I actually DID get some stuff done other than laundry today...shocked myself that's for sure:lmao: Most of my living room floor is clear, dishwasher is ready to go, and PILES of paper/magazines/crap have been dissolved. I caught up on the 4 episodes of MI-5 that had been waiting for me AND got to spend sometime catching up w/ my dear friend Suzanne who moved to NY last year.

Holly - loved those pictures - especially the one of the 2 of you PC day. I meant to take all the food pictures but kept forgetting to (except for just a few).

Jan - good to see you back.

Read that Vicki (DisneyRN1) is having surgery on her wrist on Thursday so start sending out the prayers her way.

Has anyone heard from John1? Wondering how Manuel is doing.

Hey you UKers! Anyone know of a little self catering quaint little English/Scottish/Welsh country cottage for rent??? I watched "The Holiday" again and would love to be able to spend some time in a cottage like Rosehill Cottage (but not in the winter!)

I just started researching cottages on line and I actually found 1! Looks cool....but if you know of any others I'd gladly get the info!

I agree. :goodvibes All those years ago, we did have a couple times where we broke up and got back together, and we always remained great friends during each splitup. :thumbsup2

It sure is strange though, to suddenly be receiving so many phone calls from a guy.

Remain good friends and see what happens. It is always good to marry your best friend.

Want to post a couple of pictures of the sub in the canal.

We really enjoyed the Epcot Food & Wine festival in '06 and '07.

Woody

Kathe & I did the Party for the Senses last year.
I usually try to make atleast 1 appearance at the F&W festival each year - to sample food & for the musical concerts

I don't know of one....but if you need someone to go WITH you.......:) ::yes:::thumbsup2

HEY! Did you guys hear they changed the Character Breakfast back to the old way with this week's Magic cruise? Characters now come around to the tables for autographs and photos again. No more jamm'n in the center of the restaurant.

I can certainly keep you informed!;)

YEAH I'm excited, can't you tell?! The billion pics should give that away. :rotfl2: It's nice to be able to see instead of squinting to read everything. ;)

Cool pictures Carol! :goodvibes

Oh, I don't want to marry anybody. I think I'm too used to living by myself to be able to have another adult in my "space" all the time. I'm not sure I could handle losing my alone time (when Tyler's gone). So marriage is not even anywhere in my mind. No way.
