It was such a pleasure to meet you and your family, especially after "talking" with you on the boards for over a year. I felt somewhat inadequate, like I wished I had known some ASL so I could have communicated with you better, but you made it easy because of your sweet and outgoing nature. I'm looking forward to continuing our friendship on the boards.
Deborah, ditto from me. I know first hand how people treat a person different from them. When you live with a disability, it's not only the disability you have to deal with yourself it is how others look and react to you. Whenever I saw you, I saw your smiling face. I hope I gave you a smile back and a wave. I enjoyed our brief conversation and I would have like to have had more.
