Going to make an effort to go to the gym this morning but i really don't want to. It is always harder going back after a break, and the older I get the harder it becomes as I have more excuses.:rotfl:

Looks a lovely day today after the horrible wet one yesterday. Going to find some crops that fit and at least go for a walk.

I can't stop eating.:rolleyes1

::yes:: I hear you. I think I finally know where I am and the "rocking" has subsided. I'm essentially well now, just have this pesky stuffy nose that won't go away. :(

I guess I'd better scoop up Bobby (the dog) and head off to bed. Catch you tomorrow!

We had loads of fun at our table.

Just look at those empty dessert plates!!

Good night Cherie. Sleep well.

I actually haven't had problems with 'ship movement' since getting off which surprised me. John did after our 4 nighter but hasn't mentioned it this time.

This is why Disney has had to "get tough" with the rules for special disability access! They used to run out of rental wheelchairs because of people like that! AND that means the viewing areas for the disabled fill up so quickly......people in wheelchairs really DO have a hard time seeing a show through somebody's rear end!

Also.....the SCOOTER LADY!!!!! I think she and her friend were in the accesible room next to ours......sometimes she would leave her scooter outside her door, and we couldn't get into our room! :furious:
She bought so much stuff on the ship!
The accidenetally delivered about 10 bags of stuff to our room, and my husband actually accepted it, thinking I had bought it!

:lmao: I can just see your hubby's face....:lmao:

and then yours when you explained it was not yours....

She was a real memorable person from the cruise, for all the wrong reasons....do they consider rude and inconsiderate a disability...as that was the only thing about here that stood out

Some people sure know how to play the system

Well, I'm dog-sitting for my sister for the next several days. I picked the dog up today and brought her to my house. She's a Bichon-Maltese mix, very cute and very willful ;) not totally house-broken so I have to keep my eye on her all the time. Nevertheless, I enjoy taking care of her and she's pretty good most of the time. But this time there was a new wrinkle...she's in heat and has to wear a diaper.

Even though I don't have kids of my own, I have diapered a fair share in my day, but this is the first time I've ever diapered a dog. She wears little preemie-size diapers and I have to cut a hole for her tail. Of course she doesn't LIKE to wear the diaper, so she periodically tries to chew it off. I'm really earning my money on this job!

Will you do house calls in Chicago? We could really use a good dog sitter.

Marilyn, I agree that it is hard to get back into the swing of things. I find it hard to just fit the time for the gym in. Going after work isn't attractive to me, because I don't want to walk through the door any later than I do. Going before work means getting up at 4:00 AM.

While we were away, my Wii Fit arrived. I set it up this past Saturday and have so far used it everyday, working out when I get home from work. Odd thing is, I react to it more like a video game than exercise. Forty minutes passes and I don't even notice it.

You know I am starting to wonder if we should have reported her to guest services. I wonder if anything could have been done. You know since the ship is really not bound by U.S. laws as if a a flag ship of another country I do not belive that ADA rules have to be fowlled. Now since the ship calles in the U.S. I may be wrong and will stand corrected if so forth. I am just wondering if anything could be done to keep her in cjeck. Anyway I know a Disneyland when I was at pin trading one night a man in a scooter was trying to get into the ballroom were the event was and everyone was craming through one set of doors and he wanted everyone to make like the red sea for hm and part. Guess what no one did and a CM did tell him he would have to wait to get in like everyone else since he could be accomodated through the door. He tried yelling I am disabled. I guess since he had no courtsey we did not budge for him.

It seems that a few people have expressed an interest in another 'long cruise' and Hawaii.....

Nancy has a major milestone of a birthday coming up in 2010, and has expressed interest (now that is putting it mildly) in going to Hawaii

How about we try and set up a reunion cruise for the 'possible' DCL trip to the home of 'DOG'...

My feeling is that most of us will need a while to recover from the last one....and it will give us lots of lead time to plan

Any thoughts???

Hello

Lovely photo.:thumbsup2

Is that couple back have two cuddle toys dressed up different things?

also I saw Cork and her husband on the cruise as shame that we had not spoked too.

Scottishwee35

Yes, Carol and Doug had the kitties. Cork has posted on another thread but not here. I hope they just busy and not ill. We had so much fun and our server said we were a noisy table!!!

Where is Cork?:confused3

I have been wondering the same thing. It would be great to hear from her.

Yes that is us. The kitties were in a high chair to my left. They went to dinner every night and always had their own chair. Sudama and Passayu were great about them and Sudama always asked if they had eaten or if they wanted something. I told him we always fed them early.

It was a great table and we had a lot of fun.

The documentary was on tonight on Chicago public TV that Sukie appears in. It was odd to see him on the television. He was one of a number of "talking heads" during the program.

It appears that they did a little rearranging of our house (I wasn't here when the interviews were shot).

Sukie has two very large (18") figures from Pirates of the Caribbean, Jack Sparrow and the Keith Richard character, Jack's father.

The director moved the Captain Jack Sparrow and it appears behind Sukie (a bit in the distance and blurred).

I asked Sukie, "You mean they moved Jack Sparrow to be behind you?" He said they moved all sorts of things around the house to "dress the shot."

Odd to see some of our rooms on TV. Even odder to see Sukie. He was good though. I was very proud to see him on screen and the caption appearing. "Sukie de la Croix. Historian"

I'll have to check out the PBS website tonight and see if it's on there.

I'd be interested in being kept in the loop :thumbsup2

Alaska is on DH's to do list also. For me warm places, not Africa hot, wins also.

Alaska is a maybe for me....would have to be DCL no one else (since I saw the Glaciers in Argentina I'm not in any hurry to see the ones in Alaska).

I think it was nice to go to the places we went too but as most people have said - give me the Caribbean.....well, I would also include Hawaii and Tahiti area.....warm enough to be able to be on the beach and snorkle.

I do want to do Northern Europe (and if DCL does that.....out of my way or I will run you over trying to get my res for that one :rotfl2: ) even though I know no snorkling there :lmao:

I want warmth on a cruise. Even Northern Europe would be too cool for me really, and too close to home, though the sights would be great.

I would be interested in Hawaii.:)
