Well, I'd love to as I have some good friends cruising with you. But, alas, it's a just a tad pricy $$$$. Also, can't get off work anyway.

It was a great cruise and you are really going to enjoy it...don't even need to get off the ship! :thumbsup2

.

I am one of your good friends, but a few of the others have bailed on me.

I am glad to hear that is was so you did not have to get off the ship. I have some lack of interest with a couple of the ports. Maybe instead of taxing my brain to find something to do, I will just enjoy myself on board.

nah..don't worry about it, one night I left my sleeping daughter to get a drink and ended up talking to people until 4am! I win...supreme bad mom!...she never knew!

You are a bad mom! What were you doing until 4:00 am? My mom always told me that nothing good happens after midnight!

Ours is strange right now too. The plug doesn't stay in so it can't charge. Jon found a new plug for $25.00 so we're going to try that first. Plus I don't want to buy a new laptop because my boss told me he was going to buy me one soon.
Ooooh! Try to hold out for the new one from your boss. :thumbsup2 I love my little laptop and really don't want a new one right now, so I'm happy it's a relatively inexpensive repair. Tyler will finally be able to see the cruise pictures!

ok, I'm the bad mom that in the 2nd week just told the kids to have fun and check in once in a while. I have never felt the sense of security in having my kids be on their own before. But they showed us that they could handle it. It was so wonderful traveling with them and having them behave. :goodvibes
Nan, that's not being a bad mom! Your kids are on vacation too, so they should have some freedom. And after all, they're older than Tyler, and there's only so far they can go. I plan on doing the same when he's a couple years older. :thumbsup2

That's what I figured....he'd never know. He doesn't wake up during the night, so I knew it would be fine. :thumbsup2

thanks for the well wishes for Paul. That darn fungus just grew right back. He is dosed up on med for it and a revisit on Wednesday. I just hope the pain can stay away until then. He described it like a mushroom growing in your ear, GROSSSSSSS!!!!!

Wilson needs so slight bandage surgery, skinned knee gotta go!

Nan,

Tell Paul I hope he's better soon.

So I applied for another job today. It's for a secretarial position at one of the largest law firms in Lansing. They have about 69 lawyers in our city alone and also have a couple more locations in Michigan. One of the lawyers I used to work for at my current job left our firm to work there. I worry about taking a pay cut with starting a new job because I just got a raise last week, but my co-workers tell me I'd actually be making much more, so it's worth a try! Wish me luck!

So tomorrow I have sort of a date. I haven't mentioned it in case it fell through. Well, not really so much a "date" as a "get re-acquainted" get-together with my high school boyfriend, Steve. We started dating when I was 17 and continued until I was 23, and I even moved in with him for the last 2 or 3 years. We broke up a couple times during those years, dated other people for a short time, then always ended up back together again. After our final break up, we each ended up marrying somebody else. Now we've each been divorced for a while, he found me and we started talking a couple days after the cruise, and we've talked on the phone every night for about an hour and a half each time. He still lives in our home town, but is driving here tomorrow after I get out of work. We might go out for dinner, but might end up just renting a movie to hang out here and catch up on the past 17 years! :goodvibes

What's funny is I have a stuffed tiger that I sleep with every night because IT WAS HIS!

And our first date was to see the movie Dirty Dancing. Because of it being our first date, that's always been my favorite movie of all time and he knows that because I watched it over and over again during our years together back then, and even listened to the soundtrack all the time. Just the other day on the phone, he told me that over these past 17 years, every time he sees Patrick Swayze he thinks of me.

Kinda romantic, huh?

We are in our early 30's and went to Alaska two years ago on a cruise. Yes, a lot of the activities on the ship are geared towards the older crowd, but there are so many activities about Alaska, the culture, etc... We would go again in a heartbeat! Yes, it would be different if Disney were to do it I'm sure, but Alaska was incredible. I stood at the front of the ship the day we were in Glacier Bay and cried because it was so incredibly breathtaking. I just kept thinking that in ten years all of that might no longer be there and let me tell you that that would be an incredible loss. This is something I would want my children to see and experience (hopefully, it will be there when I finally have some).

Answer to Desperate Shipmates: Trixe was undercover for WDI since the blue prints for Disney World Worlds were on the back of the painting. Storm stole the painting as he turned out to be Yuri's long lost brother. Storm was mad since he was the one who drew the sketches that got Yuri into Art school. Oh and the Captains daughter was in love with Yuri. I think thats all.

I thought I might actually bore people as I can go on a bit (and on, and on, and on)....you get the idea :rotfl2:

I wasn't bored. I did read a few before we went on the cruise and I couldn't get into any of those. I guess I have to be on the cruise.

Holy cow, I think tomorrow will be the day to fire up the air conditioning for the season. Today we finally got above 80 degrees for what I think was the first time this summer. It hit 89 and is supposed to be 92 tomorrow. I know that's normal for most of you people, but it will be nice to finally be warm! Yesterday was so cold at the zoo with Tyler's school field trip. Just about everybody wore jackets and long pants. Brrrr!!!! I'm so ready for summer!

Who stole the Captains picture, why and where was it?

Well, I'm lots of pages behind, but if this hasn't been answered:

Storme (aka evil twin Ralph), because it was painted on the back of blueprints for Walt Disney World World, in the portfolio.

....lots of catching up to do.....

Well I guess the job at the Disney Store fell through. They haven't called back and its been a week. Thats ok though because my boss at Target is MUCH better now. While I was away everyone in the backroom quit!!! So now I am the only one who knows what I am doing. So she has been very nice and scheduleing me the good hours. So I am not sure if I want to call the Disney Store or stay where I am. I finally am getting what I want after 7 years I don't want to lose that.
