Anyone done a WJ package to WDW? I think I can get a better deal booking straight through Disney although airfare in general is high from Edmonton. What makes the WJ package so appealing is that there is a direct flight from Calgary to Orlando. No changing planes anwhere, there-by eliminating bad weather, alot of delays , or just general layover blues!. (I know there can still be delays but with a non stop it just is much nicer).
I've tried pricing out that direct flight for my date in March and a couple others but it's near $1000.00 for that particular flight alone. So.. I'm left with the package. ( I know I can fly through TO but direct is soooooooo nice!)
Anyone done the package and how did it go for you? I know that with a package booked by WJ they own the reservation. Not a problem for me.
thanks!

We booked WJ separate from WDW package deal 4/3 MYW with our travel agent.
Really have to compare what is available that day/week. Changes constantly doesn't it? Esp WJ flights.

We bought the direct flight from Calgary to Orlando back in January - we found a great price from Sunday $209.00 but on return  Sunday$339 during Spring break, that's like $550 per person without taxes. It was worth it for us for the direct flight with my daughter, watch there sight the prices change often.
:goodvibes

I'm from Edmonton too. We've travelled with alot of other airlines and found west jet to be the best for price and service. We're leaving next week and got an amazing deal from what I priced out last year. We got a red eye thru WJ so we arrive during the day. It worked out to be $580 PP return incl. all taxes. We took advantage of the buy 4 get 3 free deal too. It worked out much cheaper than booking air and hotel together. We were originally planning to go to DL but with the deal, it ended up costing the same amt going to WDW. Good luck!

We flew family of four to WDW using WJ in July 2008. Full package and 10 days, costing $4,500.
Just depends on time you book, season or whatever, another friend of mine paid $3,900 for her and her 3 kids earlier in the year, same kinda package too.

We did a WestJet vacation package last year May 13-20. 7 days for 4 of us(DD only 9 then, so still a child), Pop Century, DDP and park hopper was around $4100. We flew out of Halifax and connected in Toronto.

Only problem we had was a 24 hour delay on our way home due to mechanical problems on a plane, and Westjet provided hotel and meal vouchers for us.

We had no problem with our Disney reservations.:wave2:

Hi..We just used westjet in dec for our WDW trip in December.. We had a direct flight both ways...All together for the whole package 4600$ We had a great flight and had no problem with our reservations at disney.. We would definately use them again!!!!
