I would like a small quite place to put the baby down. We will be staying in a 2br at WLV. My 2 girls will share one bedroom and my older son will have the pull out in the living room and my husband and I will be in the master br. I know this may sound like a strange question, but, is the master bathroom or closet big enough to put a crib in? The baby is used to his own quite room and usually goes down early.

Also, do I need to request a crib ahead of time? Is it a Pack and Play? Do the villas have highchairs? Do I need to request one ahead of time?

Thanks

The villas are equipped with a Pack n Play crib. Many have reported using the master bedroom closet for the crib for the baby. If you have a dedicated 2BR, the second bedroom closet is also very large.

If you're not comfortable with that, there is plenty of room in the master bedroom. I'm assuming you and your DH wouldn't be needing that for nap times? In any event, I think many like to have the baby closer at hand and the master bedroom has the room for it.

You can request a high chair when you get to the resort...I wouldn't bother doing so ahead of time. They'll run it right up to you...just call housekeeping.

Enjoy your stay at this beautiful resort! :)

There should be plenty of room in the Master Bedroom for the packnplay. I usually just put it in front of the balcony doors. I have had Master closets that would have been big enough for the packnplay, but this last time our master closet was "odd" shaped, kinda triangular, and it wouldn't have fit in there. All disney supplies you with is a sheet. Be sure and take a few blankets of your own. I know this may sound strange, but there seems to be a lot of air flow coming down that outside wall by the doors. I can remember a couple of times that my little seemed really cold when I picked her up. I think the air conditioner blows toward that wall and that's probably why it seemed cold by the doors. Anyway, just bring warm blankets and good warm PJ's for your little one.

There has always been a high chair in any of the 2 bedroom units we have had at the various resorts. It was most often in the closet nearest the entry door. You may be able to put the crib in the area where the jacuzzi is. I think a pack and play may fit in there.

Thanks for the responses. I think the Master bath or closet sounds like the best idea. I don't want him in the same room with me. He is so used to going to bed alone and I don't want to change anything. He's been the easiest of the 4 kids and I'm nervous about changing his routine. I'm very excited about our first DVC trip. I would have never been planning a trip to WDW with a baby if it weren't for these accomodations.

I'm trying to remember the layout.....at OKW, the pack n play fit in the laundry room, so that's where DS slept his first several WDW trips, LOL.

At BCV, which is similar to where you're staying, I think the pack n play fit most of the way in the closet.....

I've also put the pack and play in the front entrance way, which in some units is very separate from the rest of the unit.

all units should have a high chair.

Have fun!

Hope you have a great vacation.

You can call housekeeping for a full size crib if you don't want to use the pack and play. I have done this 5 or 6 times now and the conversation usually goes like this:
Me: "Hello, I'd like to see if it is possible for you to deliver a full size crib to our room."
HK: "Are you aware that there is a pack and play in your closet?"
Me: "Yes, but I would prefer a full size crib. Do you have any at this time?"
HK: "I can check, but they are metal ones, you know."
Me: "Yes, that is fine"

And they are usually up in 10 minutes with the full size crib. The point of this is that they may give you a song and dance about it, but unless they are all being used by other guests, you should have no problem getting one.

We put a pack n play in the master closet on our last trip for our 10 month old. Very dark and quiet. Kinda hard to use the closet, but it was worth her not sturing around during the night.

I received a message yesterday that our waitlist for BWV came through. Does anyone know if the Master closet is big enough for the pack and play at BWV? It appears to be smaller than VWL.
