So here's another one of those gross things: used, dirty tissues. :crazy2:

I have a cold right now and have to keep my used tissues away from bow-wow. Can't throw them out in the bathroom wastebasket because Max goes in there and makes a snack out of them.

Ick! This dog is not a poop-eater, but boy, he finds other disgusting items to consume.

:lmao: Our dog loves kleenex. This morning, DH sneezed and she jumped up out of a sound sleep and came running all the way across the house!

DH said instead of calling her to come in, he was going to stand at the back door and sneeze from now on. She even fishes them out of our pockets if we leave a coat hanging on a dining room chair.

My lab finds the most disgusting things to eat when we are out walking. Yest. he ate poop, he's had tissues, garbage and last summer he had a dead bird in his mouth. Luckily some man was nearby and he came to help me :scared1: You'd think Baxter didn't get fed properly at home. Now on our walks I have to look ahead at what's on the ground. Luckily he really doesn't get into anything too gross at home.

Golden Retriever here who loves used tissues and eats the toilet paper right off the roll. I had to find a brand that he didn't like too much. He actually eats a lot of stuff if he's left alone in the house, but the tissue and toilet paper is even when we are around.

Am I the only person who keeps the bathroom waste basket on the back of the toilet? ;)

My previous dog loved tissues--I think they were her favorite toy. She didn't care if they were used or not, she just loved to shred them. There are way more nasty things in the trash than a used tissue. For the Q-tip eater, a gentle caution, you don't want her to get the stick caught in her intestine.

My childhood kitty loved to shred the roll of toilet tissue. My mother had to hang the roll on a robe hook at the top of the closet door. Made for some interesting situations when visitors came over who didn't know they needed to retrieve the roll. :rolleyes1

We tried that, she climbed up on the seat - both with the lid up and down - to get to it.

We now have an old baby gate that goes in front of the toilet area. She can't get it down, over it, or around it. But just let someone forget to put the thing back after using the toilet. She just knows the gate is gone. And I swear, she cleans it out, hiding her stash under the bed. And she eats it all - cotton balls, Q-tips, kleenex/toilet paper, womens products. It is just soo gross!!!

I wonder if it is a golden thing. My one golden will go and pull tissues from the box or the TP right off the roll. We can't keep a box of tissues anywhere she can't find it.

My dogs both love poo. But my rottie mix loves underwear. She keeps fishing them out of the laundry basket. A few weeks ago I found a pair that she had eaten the whole crotch out of.

My lab likes underwear and socks (used of course).

My one dog goes crazy for used tissues.

She is also a poop eater.

Gross, gross, gross!

I have 2 shih tzus and I think they win as the grossest of all...simply because there's not one thing so far on this list that they don't consider a delicacy:rotfl2::rotfl2:

To be fair, it's mostly the boy....my female has never been a chewer.....she does love her a steamy pile of poop though:thumbsup2 Sorry...tmi.

here's our list:

poop...both their own and each others...but only if it's warm
tissues
tampon applicators....the reason they are no longer welcome in my room.
q tips
mice...I think they might be part cat
he caught a small lizard once
any bug really....likes to eat bees and get his nose stung
heads off of action figures:rotfl:
underpants
cotton balls

sometimes he just grabs the end of the tp roll and runs throughout the house...that's fun

I bet I have the all-time grossest one-- my brother's Lab once found a deer that a hunter had killed and cleaned on our property. The hunter said, "Oh, I buried the remains; it won't be a problem."

A few hours later, Sable (the Lab) went out in the sub-zero temperatures and was gone for several minutes. When she came back, she was shivering uncontrollably and wouldn't warm up, even when we covered her with blankets. We soon found out the cause for the chills, as she proceeded to barf up about 2 pounds of frozen deer entrails. It was like something out of Alien meets The Exorcist.

Omigosh! These dogs of ours are like goats.

After snacking on tissues all day, Max make off with an extra treat of an Airheads lollipop. Fortunately, he didn't eat the stick, and it looks like he left most of the wrapper too. He's getting pickier as he gets older. In his youth, that whole lollipop would have been toast.

During his puppyhood (when he was really crazy), he tried to bring a "puke-sicle" into the house. He threw up earlier in the day and then it froze. My husband had a battle royale with him, trying to keep the frozen blob of puke out of the house.
