Were your kids born before, after or on their due dates?

DS #1 one day late, induced.
DS #2 right on due date.

DD was born 2 weeks early (after 4 weeks of bed-rest and tributalin pump to stop contractions)

DS was born 3 weeks early (5 weeks bed rest for him)

Both were fine.

#1 DS 5 weeks early
#2 DD induced after due date (on a Friday the 13th no less!)
#3 DS stillborn 25 weeks
#4 DD 3 weeks early after 3 weeks on bedrest and meds (arrived within 24 hours of med stopping!)

No boring pregnancies for me! :teeth:

DD#1 was induced at 9 days late.
DD#2 was induced at 5 days early (the doctor broke the water during my exam so to the hospital we went!)
DS was induced 6 days late.

So I never went through sudden labor or embarrassing out-in-public water breaking. Never had a real long labor either, thank goodness. And had my tubes tied after DS so all of this is a thing of the past!

DD#1 - She was 11 days early and born after less than 4 hours in active labor.

DD#2 - She was 12 days early. I had toxemia but they were also worried that DD#2 would come to quickly so I would have been induced even without toxemia, just not for another week. Good thing too, I went from 4cm to complete in 15 minutes.

DS#1--3 days early with 26 hrs labor
DS#2--5 days late with 24 hrs labor......still is late for everything and is a general slug
DD--5 days early with 8 1/2 hrs labor and is impatient and in a hurry with everything
Guess their personalities were formed before birth;)

My son was born on his due date which also happened to be my father's birthday!

My daughter was a scheduled Cesarean Section. They are 1 year 362 days apart.

My daughter Artie was born 5 weeks early in 1984 (4 lbs.7 oz.)

and 14 years later....

My daughter Sydney was born 6 weeks early in 1998 (3lbs.12 oz.)

The funny coincidence about their births is that Artie was born the day after father's day (1984) and I used to tease her father (my ex-husband) that she was messing with him by making him wait a whole year to be able to celebrate his first father's day. Then 14 years later, Sydney did the exact same thing (in 1998)and was born the day after father's day as well!!! Artie was talking to Sydney in her incubator at the NICU telling her "we are just a like, you and me, making our dads wait for father's day!". It was a great "bonding" moment for my girls!!! They have been best buddys ever since!

DS #1 was 5 days late---his bday is Friday as a matter of fact!

DS #2 was 5 days early and I was induced- on bed rest for elevated BP, and his non-stress-test wasn't so hot....you know why.....................HE WAS 11 POUNDS 2 1/2 OUNCES! Ughhh...just thinking about it makes up hurt! And, no, I didn't have a c-section.

Woo-Hoo! I just noticed my previous post was my 1,000th post! Wow!

Some interesting baby stories here!!! Lot of "early" babies!!:D:

Congrats Alice 28 on your 1000th post!;) :bounce:

DD #1 : 6 weeks early after 2 1/2 weeks hospitalization after my water broke and after 3 1/2 years of infertility treatments - 16 hours of labor

DD#2 : 2 days before her due date (also 6 days before her sister's first birthday - who would have thunk it?) - 2 hours labor, 40 minutes after I arrived at the hospital fully dialated

DS #1 was born 21 days early by c/s due to pre-eclampsia weighed 8lbs-12 oz can you just imagine how BIG he would have been if I had gone to term. And I wasn't a diabetic either.

DS #2 was born 2 weeks early by c/s weighed 7lbs-11oz.

DS #3 was also born 2 weeks early by c/s and weighed 10lbs-7 oz. Again wasn't a diabetic.
