Were You At Magic Kingdom Sunday May 16th??

Hi all.

I am looking to see if anyone knows ANYONE who was at the Magic
Kingdom at Walt Disney World on Sunday May 16th.

My family and I were luckily chosen to be the Grand Marshals of the
Share A Dream Come True parade.

I know many of you want to know how it happened.... all I can say
was being in the right place at the right time. It was on Main
Street towards the end. We were busy taking pictures of each other
in front of the castle when the Guest Relations CM approached us.

Anyway... the reason I'm asking is that I'd love to put together a
video of our 15 minutes of fame. We took pictures throughout the
parade, but am hoping someone might have video or photographs of us
in the parade. We were the Allen family from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

IF you know of someone (or you were there) I'd appreciate any help
in passing my info on to them to work out arrangements.

That's our favourite parade, and we videotape it from beginning to end, Love it

Sorry I couldn't help, but the friendly bump might...Isn't there a "Whos' going when you are" sign up somewhere...maybe on the DCL or Resorts board? You could check the list and send some pm's...???
I think I'd call WDW too, maybe they tape that type of thing...???

Here is a link to the who's going when you are. It was created by Fred (Majestic) who is a Diser. Just put in a date and a list will show who is arriving that day and it will also show their departure day. You don't need to put in a Dis user name. You could PM some of the people who were there around the 15th. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will do some pm'ing to see what I can find out.

As for Disney taping the event, I doubt they do or I think they would have said something. Jarrod, the CM from Guest Relations followed us the entire length of the parade, and I know he would have said something. He was originally from Oklahoma and we were the first Grand Marshals he'd picked that was from Oklahoma so he was I think just as excited as we were.

Anyway... if ANYONE knows ANYONE who may have been at MK that day and MAY have photographed or videotaped us, PLEASE get in contact with me. You will make my family VERY happy!

Seems everywhere I look I seem to find people who were there the day before or after, just not ON that day. <G> It's all good.... I love a challenge. There were 40,000 people in the park that day... gotta find at least one of them who reads these boards.

But, we skipped the parade =( I'm so sorry... I hope you find someone! SOUNDS EXCITING!

We were too but left before the parade because DD was getting too hot and was cranky so we went back to the Polynesian to hang at the pool. Glad to see my Who's Going webpage is helping a bit.

May I also suggest you post a message in the newgroups under "rec.arts.disney.parks". If you can't, let me know and I will post a message for you.

You may also want to contact Deb Wills (www.allearsnet.com) and ask for her to post a little something in her newsletter. It has "quite a few" subscribers.

Lastly, you may also want to contact Mouse Savers (www.mousesavers.com) to see if they can post a similar message.

Getting a few responses which is exciting..

First few were off by a day or two.

Then it turned into a folks that WERE there that day, but didn't see us. =(

So have a feeling the next ones are gonna be THE ONES!
