Were the Poly beaches very crowded last night?

We are considering a NYE trip to the Poly next year. I hesitated to make the ressies because I had read many posts here about the unbelievable crowd levels at the Poly, during the week, and especially during the fireworks on NYE. I do not want to pay premium prices for the water view, and find that I have a hundred guests.
Anyone there last night?

Since no one answered you yet, I figured I would give you the situation from the Grand Floridian. There was plenty of room all around the resort for anyone to sit, stand or lie on the grass and enjoy the firworks from here. It was truly wonderful and everyone seemed to have a good time. I don't think you need to worry at all.
