Oh wow, I love your Epcot day.We only got to spend about three hours there so I was pretty bummed. At least I can pretend I was there by looking at your pictures.I LOVE the kids outfits in Epcot. They are super cute.Speaking of cute-that guy in line really was.I kind of feel dirty talking about a kid young enough to be my son.:rotfl2:

LOL!! I think he was like twenty-seven or thirty-two or something, so that makes it OK. At least let's tell ourselves that. I don't know about you, but I do not feel like I'm in my late thirties. Well, I do in some ways...but you know.

I guess we were at EPCOT for maybe five hours, and that was STILL not nearly enough time to truly see the countries. We just had time to walk through and look at some kiosks and scenery and things like that. I felt rushed at all the parks except MK since we were there for a full day and a half. Each park is definitely worthy of one full day (or more, if possible). I'm considering this to have been a highlight trip. You definitely saw more of DHS than we did, so we'll just have to enjoy each other's pictures of the parks we didn't get enough of!!

Amy, You are so right. I have been beating myself up about a few things we missed.Paul keep reminding me there was just NO way to do it all.He keeps saying it gives us an excuse to go back. Now I know why I married him!

I loved your tour of Epcot. When you and Heather are really old like I am, your sweet husbands can take you on a leisurely tour of all the parts of Disney World that you had to fly past with the kids. My dear husband is almost as big a lover of disney as I am. He is so excited for Karlyn's trip that he can hardly wait. I will also say that when it comes to our trips to "the World" he is very generous with the things he lets me buy. Remember my picture of all the grandkids in Disney World Shirts? He picked out most of them!:cool1: And each time we go, he buys me a new Disney Snow Globe:love:

I am loving both your reports and it makes me so excited for the days to pass until we go.

Thanks for the great pictures both of you!
Denise

We made it to Magic Kingdom, and I was thinking we would make our 4:10pm reservations for Liberty Tree Tavern after all (earlier I'd had my doubts). On the way in I got Madison a wheelchair, even though Lance thought it was ridiculous. But she and Ty had made a deal to take turns pushing each other, and I thought it would be a good way to stop all the complaining. I would've done anything at that point! I just told them I wasn't pushing!! The deal they made was that Madison would push Ty for the first thirty minutes, and Ty would push Madison for the rest of the afternoon. I don't think it quite worked out that way, but Ty said whatever he needed to to get to go first. :rotfl2:

Day655.jpg

We got to MK just in time for the 3pm parade, and we all ate Mickey ice cream bars while we watched--we hadn't had lunch! I'll spare you the parade pics, but I took one of every float. I can't believe we got a great spot right at the last minute. I just love that parade even though it was blazin' hot both days we saw it.

The Photopass guy took this with my camera...

I ADORE this statue. Don't you?

Day645.jpg

Isn't that sweet? I tear up when I see it. That Mickey Mouse! He's so adorable. And to think of all the joy these two have brought to the world!

On our way around the castle, just look who we ran into!! I was SO EXCITED!!!

Day654.jpg

Look at the pink one (which one is she?) pointing to Clay's outfit. She noticed it right away and asked if mice made it!

Day653.jpg

Day649.jpg

They were in such great character. Shay Lynne said the evil step-mother was MEAN. Look at her here...

The twins were pretty much in awe...

It was a blast seeing them! I am interested in eating at 1900 Park Fare some day, so I was especially thrilled we got to see these three.

Now it was almost time to eat at LTT, so we headed for Liberty Square. We had time to ride the Haunted Mansion really quickly, so we did that. I would never be able to get enough of that ride. It's spectacular!!! Here is Madison in front of it. Everyone was getting sick of posing for me by this time, but Madison is always afraid of looking dorky in pics, so she'll always smile for me. ;)

Day683.jpg

Afterwards, it was time to head toward Liberty Tree Tavern for "lupper".

Day 6, Part 5-6

I love the castle pictures! I want to meet Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters so badly! I am going to try to book 1900 Park Fare for my birthday dinner. :thumbsup2

I think renting a wheelchair was a wonderful idea! You should have made them push you at the end of the day! That is what I did at DL- we rented one for Sam ( who had broken his leg in March). He can walk fine now, but it would start to swell at the end of the day if he had been on it all day. So the boys would take turns riding in it- and I always got a turn!

I can't wait to hear about LTT! We have ADRs there in Nov.

party: This is the best! I am so excited about going now! You have done a fantastic job on your Report so far!!:goodvibes
Bless those gorgeous kids.
Dylan is soaking up these pics!:cheer2:

Hmmm...I think I married "Money Miser Mike"

I must have "Tightwad Tom" then!

I love your tour through the countries! I was laughing the whole way through!

I think they make stuff you can put on your feet to prevent blisters in the crocs. Sorry about Madison's feet but even more sorry for you having to listen to the whining!

Lady Tremaine! I had forgotten some of their names. I remembered Anastasia, but is the other one Griselda or something like that? And I don't know which one is which, but it didn't matter. They were fab!! The twins were a little flabbergasted, and I think Shay Lynne thought the step-mother was scary! What a great birthday dinner that would be for you! I hope you get to do it. I'm hearing them sing "Sing Sweet Nightinggale" as I think about them (they weren't singing in the parks, but I always laugh at them singing that song in the movie). Clay cracks me up every time he tells me what Lady Tremaine said to him. He says she said "Here, let me sign that for you...", but he says she said it in a really scary voice. I don't think he's going to forget her any time soon.

I would LOVE to have ridden, but not at the expense of my ears. I really done with the complaints by that point! Thank you for your sympathies. I wondered if anyone would look down on us for having a wheelchair since we suspected lots of people had them who didn't need them--Madison thought it was because they wanted to have handicapped access through the parks. But her blisters were bleeding and bandaids wouldn't stay on. I didn't know what else to do!!

Thank you! I showed my kids tons of pics from TRs before we went, too! It really got them excited.

loving it all so far :thumbsup2

Loving all the husband nicknames! And I'm glad to know I'm not married to the only tightwad in the universe!!

:rotfl2: no, you aren't.. I have Penny Pinching Pat here. Love your report. Kids look awesome in their customs. So nice they had a great time. But then again, how can you not at the Happiest Place on Earth. So, have you heard... "When are we going back" yet?

Come on...it's Saturday and we teachers only work 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, 9 months a year, right? :rotfl2: What could you *possibly* have to keep you from satisfying my need to read your trip report?? :confused3 :confused3

Everyone looks SO GREAT in the pictures. You'd never know there was one bit of complaining going on. When you scrapbook them, just write about how perfect they all are and that's how you'll all remember it. :rolleyes1

Can't wait to hear more.

Beth :)

I LOVE your magic kingdom pics! I am just green with envy that you saw the step sisters and Lady Tremaine! I guess I will just have to add that to my list for next time! I am having so much fun reading your trip report.I just can't get enough disney today, the travel channel has Disney stuff all day.I am taping it and still can't tear myself away!

Penny Pinching Pat...I like it! Yes! They are asking to go back. I'm already devising ways....

That's a good idea, and as someone said before, the bad memories of the trip do fade over time. I'm glad you can't see it all in the pics. We really and truly did have a great time, though. I am usually known for spilling my guts, so I just tend to include it all as I write about it. It won't be long for you now, will it? I know you're beside yourself with excitement! And I'm excited, too, because I know you love pics as much as I do. :) You'd better be ready to tell it all (and show it) when you get back--no matter when school starts!!! (Like I've done so well turning my TR out since I've been back....) :lmao:

I find myself bummed about not getting to do several things, too--and they are mostly things I've seen that y'all got to do! I didn't really realize how much we missed until seeing some of your pics. I guess we can chalk it up to the perils of simultaneous TRs! But it has been so much fun to write our TRs together!! At least your DH is saying he wants to go back. I'm going to have to work on mine! Or work on him letting me go without him.

BTW, I've been reading Breaking Dawn all day (anybody addicted to the Twilight saga like me?), so I haven't paid attention to what's on TV today. Now I will be glued to the Travel Channel!! Shay Lynne switched channels right away once I told her what was on!! I'll try to put the book down and whip out another update as I watch....

Oh, so you have a "little spender", too? Not a good thing in Disney!!

Apparently you haven't read my trip report! :rotfl: Nah, he didn't complain TOO much on our last trip. Just a couple of times a day.

Poor Madison with her bleeding feet! I really feel for her! I couldn't wear my crocs for more than one day. After that I switched to my broken in tennis shoes. Tessa wore hers every day, but she had cute little socks with them.

Heading for LTT, Clay was excited to see Goofy again! There was all this food served homestyle--tons of meats, dressing, green beans, potatoes, mac & cheese...I don't remember what all else there was. I got aggravated at the kids for not eating more considering the expense. I guess it was the Mickey head ice cream. But they sure ate the dessert! It was yummy apple cobbler and ice cream. Here are some pics of our meal. It's hard to get good pics of the characters when you're up so close to them.

Here's Pluto...

Goofy is just one of our faves!!! Then we got the bill, and Lance wasn't too happy. I had prepaid for CRT, so he didn't know how much this character dining stuff costs. The waitress put the check down beside him and I just cringed. He could not believe it. And it bothered him even more that the kids had eaten very little. When we left, I told him that I wasn't sorry we ate there because it was Clay's wish and he wished to eat with Goofy! Besides, I've heard the LTT won't have the characters after next January, so I am glad we got to experience it. He said he was just shocked, that was all. Oh well, you only live once. And we did have expense money from MAW, after all.

OK, onto Frontierland.

We rode BTMR again...

Day644.jpg

...and everyone but Madison and I rode Splash Mountain. Not that I cared if I got wet this late in the day, but Madison wanted one of those temporary tattoos of a Mickey-head or something. Unfortunately we couldn't find one during the time it took them to do Splash. We weren't DARE going to go far as we did NOT want to risk losing each other again (although Lance had carried his phone with him every day since the mishap on our first MK night).

We moved to Adventureland next because we wanted to do pirates again. I took this pic of Johnny Depp. Shhhh, don't tell...

Day692.jpg

Ty and Clay each got guns (Ty's second of the trip) in the souvenier shop. Ty looks tough here, don't you think? He was really trying.

Day691.jpg

Then look who we ran into!!!

Clay had said he wanted to fight with Captain Hook, so I reminded him of that, but all he would do was smile at him and kind of look at him in awe. I asked him later why he didn't fight with him and he said it was because he didn't have a sword. Logical, I guess!

Next we headed to Tomorrowland because Ty had never gotten to do the Indy cars. We didn't think they looked all that exciting, but the kids wanted to drive. They gave Clay a driver's license!! Shay Lynne was jealous.

Next up, Toontown again to visit the Judge's Tent!

Day 6, Part 7-8

Loving it! You have inspired me to take lots of pictures and post them all... ;) Just asked DH how many pictures will fit on the card for the camera. He said, "I don't know. lots." I said, Like, a hundred lots, or a thousand lots? I think we'll ahve the laptop with us so we can dump them on there. As IF I could go for that long without internet access!!!

Beth :)

We really love LTT. I am glad the kids had a good time with the characters since it is quite pricey.
