I am so glad everyone liked what we sent! It is funny about the wallet...I almost got the bag..we still have a few on clearance..and I thought, nah.. she doesn't need another bag! Glad you liked the wallet! The kids look so cute watching the washclothes grow! We love those here and use them everywhere! The colored pencil holder can probably hold 2 pencils per pocket if she needs to bring more!

Oh my goodness, how sweet is that!?

What a sweetie that Nicole is! She's so thoughtful to send a Grumpy shirt for Lance, a wallet for you (I LOVE that wallet), and washclothes for the kids. It's so exciting to see them open this stuff because we don't always hear about the extra "pixie dust". So cool!
Nicole is very sweet!! EVERYONE loved the treats!! Hey, Heather, how did you get those pics to be smaller in your reply?? I want to know how to do that!!! I want to be a DIS expert poster like you!!

Lovin all the new stuff!! All of the Pixie Dust is so sweet! Your mailman must be very popular right now!!
You're correct...we are lovin' the mailman right now at my house!!! We have had tons of unexpected pixie dust!!

She is using those pencils like crazy!! And thank you for sending a sharpener, too! For some reason, we are obsessed with pencil sharpeners in my house!! My eyeliner sharpeners even disappear out of the bathroom! Drives me crazy!!! Last night, the kids couldn't wait for their showers because they were intent on using their new Disney rags!!! (Well, we call them rags even if they're new...that might be a Texas thing, or it might be just a weird family thing...not sure.)

Subbing in. I have read read this whole thread today and I am WELLING UP every time I read it! Looking forward to reading the rest. The things people have sent the kids are so amazing. Makes me proud to be a DIS'er.

Glad to have you along for the ride! I checked out your PTR as well. I am sorta kinda regretting not booking any character dining, although I doubt we'll have much time for anything like that, but if you were to recommend some things, which would they be if our main interest is Micky & Friends and/or the princesses? Just curious...and I hope I haven't made a big mistake by not booking. I have heard, however, that sometimes magic can be worked once we get there, even without ressies.

I cannot believe this package that we got today!!! It is from Leslie (DISid: "2cutekidz"), and I am blown away by what it contained. Here are the kids opening the package...

They needed a little help...

Finally open!

Not one, but TWO outfits for Shay Lynne!! See how she started laying them out on the table, just "so", so she could have a good look?

AKandSB015.jpg

AKandSB016.jpg

Leslie made her a zebra-striped Minnie head outfit, and a to-live-for twirly skirt!!! (I apologize in advance for all my use of incorrect sewing terminology throughout this Big Give!!!) It is just precious!!! She was so excited!! There was also a SpongeBob outfit!!! She said "Now I have a SpongeBob outfit, too!!!". It is just adorable! And then we read the letter inside, and Leslie explained that SpongeBob is from her daughter, Emily (whose beauty you can see in a pic posted a few posts back...). Anyway, Emily had seen Clay's SpongeBob shirt that Jessica made for him and wanted Shay Lynne to have a matching outfit! How sweet is that??? The letter explained that Emily helped her mom with the whole thing, from picking out the fabric and thread to helping her mom applique the tank. She is only almost six!!! Shay Lynne just loved it and says she wishes she could sew like Emily!

OK, notice Clay in the background in this pic. He has found a package within the package, addressed to him!

AKandSB017.jpg

Surprise!! He got a matching Mickey head t-shirt!!!

AKandSB020.jpg

These will be PERFECT for Animal Kingdom!!! I am so, so excited! And it's sleeveless and everything...and I had been worrying about the heat in AK!!! PERFECT!!! Do you know how much I miss having my twins match? The only way I can anymore is with camo!!! Now they can match for TWO DAYS, and I cannot tell you how excited I am!!! Well, actually three days counting our WISH 2008 shirts!!

Clay went to put his new shirt out on display, too...

AKandSB021.jpg

Just before modeling...

AKandSB022.jpg

OK, I think I'd better do two posts here b/c I am going to go over the limit...stay tuned for modeling and lots of twirling....

OK, on to the modeling...

AKandSB023.jpg

AKandSB038.jpg
AKandSB026.jpg

And then the twirling began...

AKandSB035.jpg
AKandSB027.jpg

AKandSB032.jpg
AKandSB037.jpg

PRECIOUS!!! She was dizzy after all that, but she wanted to try on the next one right away...

AKandSB039.jpg
AKandSB040.jpg

Now even more twirling...

AKandSB044.jpg
AKandSB043.jpg

AKandSB041.jpg
AKandSB047.jpg

AKandSB049.jpg

OK, that's enough twirling...

AKandSB045.jpg
AKandSB046.jpg

After all that, she had to lie down. She said she was dizzy...but she sure was happy!

AKandSB050.jpg

Clay found a toy that matches his new shirt...

AKandSB052.jpg

And here he is watching TV (he insisted on wearing it for awhile)...

AKandSB053.jpg

(The one chewing the bone is Daisy. She's my sister--the kids love for their aunt to come visit as our dogs are too big and hairy to let come inside.)

And here is a message for Emily and her mom. I hope you can read it:

AKandSB054.jpg

Notice that she has the zebra-print top on with the SpongeBob skirt. She wanted you to know how much she loves both outfits!!! LOL!! She's a unique child!

Leslie, we want you and Emily to know how very much we appreciate all of this! You all have gone above and beyond, and again, words fail me. I wish I could adequately convey to you what this means to us!! Thank you so very much for your kindness, and tell that sweet daughter of yours that I wish I could sew like her! She is a doll and so is her mom.

I LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE these new outfits. SO cute!!!!!!! The kids look so happy!

Hello again! I'm running out of superlatives! These outfits are SO adorable...just how did someone make SpongeBob so perfect, and yet so cute? And the zebra Mickeys are unique and they'll be able to wear them lots and lots.

I'm with you on the dressing the twins the same. It's perhaps easier for me as I have boy twins, but they're not really thrilled with the idea. Now with the outfits that your twins have, there's no doubt they'll be thrilled to relive those matching tiwn days!

What's the countdown at now...?

Alison

Yea!! I'm so glad you got the package and that everything fits! Whew!! I can't tell you how happy I am that I got to participate in this! Seeing the big smiles on Shay Lynne's and Clay's face is just priceless!! You know, I never could send just one kid something and not send something to their sibling!! I'll show Emily the post of Shay Lynne with the picture she made in the morning!! She will be thrilled!! I can't wait to see your pictures from your trip!!

Well, to add to the excitement over receiving these amazing outfits from Leslie/2cutekidz today, it has also occured to me that we now have just ONE WEEK before we leave for WDW!!! I just can't believe it, and I'm getting kind of panicky about getting laundry done up, packing, etc. Today we got a packet from GKTW, and it had some good information in it. At least we know for sure now that they are expecting us! I wasn't sure until now as we hadn't heard anything from them! Also, I still haven't heard from Make-A-Wish since several weeks ago when we got a letter stating our flight information. Surely something will come within the next day or two. It's kind of unnerving to have everything be so beyond our control...but I need to just trust that it's all good. :)

One sad note...I emailed GKTW today and found out that Clay's paving stone that I purchased at the beginning of May won't be back from the engraver to be laid in time for our trip. :( It's supposed to take ninety days, but I guess they are running a month or two behind schedule. Oh well, they said they would send me a picture of it once it's laid. I had just wanted Clay to see it...but I guess that gives us a reason to go back to Orlando. :)

Also, I wanted to mention for the sake of other WishTrippers that over the weekend Clay received his song of love! You should really check this out--it's awesome! The form asked what kind of music he likes, what types of things he likes, who the family members are, and all kinds of things. When we first listened to his song, we could not believe it!! It's awesome! It is ALL about him--includes everything we listed out that he loves. It sounds so professional! He gets embarrassed when we listen to it, but he giggles and giggles, especially during the part where it talks about how much he loves the Wii (he's an addict) and also Mickey Mouse, Spiderman, SpongeBob, and Scooby Doo. SO cute! And family and friends can download the song and ringtone for a minimal donation. It's just a little more pixie dust for kids who have been or are currently going through a lot! If interested, you can get to the Songs of Love website here.

There is a surplus of happiness in our house lately!!!

SEVEN DAYS!!! I ran out of superlatives long ago! I keep searching for new words to articulate how I feel, but their are none. I need to try another language or something!! One funny thing this year...the twins both wore camo to school once this past year, and Shay Lynne was mad at Clay when she got home because he had aggravated her on the playground that day by following her around saying "We're twins, we're twins, we're twins...". She was just furious at him for annoying her like that!! But she forgot about it, thankfully. I try to get them to match as often as I can...but it's hard at this age and with a boy/girl set. That's why I was absolutely thrilled with these matching outfits today!

Everything is PERFECT, truly. Seriously, tell Emily I really do wish I could sew like she can!! What a sweet girl--give her a hug for us. Shay Lynne would love to be her friend! She says so every time she receives something from other kids because she thinks it's so sweet of them to be doing things for us the way they are.

I am just catching up and I love the outfits  and "clothes" and all of the goodies to go along on your trip! I bet you are sooooo excited! The kids look so happy already in the pics! :cool1: Have a wonderful trip and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! :cheer2:

Thank you!! We are absolutely ecstatic to have so many awesome new things to take with us, as well as to be leaving so soon!! I just want to be ready!! I promise to let you all see everything we do! Well, everything that can be photographed, at least!! I'll just have to describe the rest. Thank you for the well wishes! :lovestruc

Speaking of, I wanted to announce that I pre-purchased a Photopass today! Go here to get one at a discounted rate! (Thanks for the link, tinkerbeth!) I was saying earlier that my husband hates to pose for photos, but he also does not like to spend money. So my logic is that if I tell him I've spent a hundred bucks for an unlimited number of pictures, he will want to get his money's worth while we're there!! Clever, huh? ;) :rotfl2:

I should point out, that when I say Emily helped applique I mean she sat on my lap and blocked my view. She did help guide it a bit at times too. (She did pic out the fabrics though!!) Matthew (DS2) sat under the table and messed around with the presser foot too!! So I guess you could say he kinda helped too. ;)

Emily will love all of the pictures!! I can't wait to show her in the morning!! She'll be especially pleased with the pictures of Shay Lynne twirling! My girlie loves to twirl too!!

Still, I think she is an excellent seamstress!!! Please tell her I said so. And it is just so sweet and thoughtful that she wanted to do this for Shay Lynne. :lovestruc

Those are really cute outfits and i love that they will be able to match for a couple days. I can't believe how little time you have left before y'all go. Shay Lynne and Clay looked adorable.

The outfits fit perfect! And they look great and Clay and Shay lynne. It is so esciting how close your trip is! I am getting so excited for all of you!

I hope Shay Lynne likes wearing skirts! Honestly, that's all I wear when we are at Disney when it's hot. It looks like we all had the same idea!:rotfl:

I just came over from the Disboutiquers to see what you guys had received. I am just in tears and my heart is full to see your kids' smiling faces!!!! The outfits look even better on! I can't wait to read your TR when you get back!

How have I missed your pre-trip report until now? I thouhgt I was all caught up with them- I think I've missed several!

I love ALL the pictures and outfits- I especially love the wish shirts- just soooo cute!

You leave in just a week! I am so excited for you.

I love the idea of buying a paving stone! I'm going to check into that. We leave on November 16- so I'm not sure if it would be ready in time.

I can't wait to hear all about your trip!

Carol
