I hope Shay Lynne likes wearing skirts! Honestly, that's all I wear when we are at Disney when it's hot. It looks like we all had the same idea!

Her preference has always been skirts and dresses, so it's all just perfect for her!! I have a twirly girl on my hands!!! Everything is just so unique, and we love that!!

I just came over from the Disboutiquers to see what you guys had received. I am just in tears and my heart is full to see your kids' smiling faces!!!! The outfits look even better on! I can't wait to read your TR when you get back!

I think everything looks wonderful on them. We are SO EXCITED to have so many new things to wear for our trip! I'm so sad that I don't know how to sew because I see now how much fun it is to wear all these things! I have shed plenty of tears myself lately! Thank you for coming over!!

How have I missed your pre-trip report until now? I thouhgt I was all caught up with them- I think I've missed several!

I love the idea of buying a paving stone! I'm going to check into that. We leave on November 16- so I'm not sure if it would be ready in time.

There are lots of PTRs and TRs to keep up with! Traveling in November...if you bought a paving stone now, you MIGHT get to see it when you go. It seems that it's taking 4-5 months, so you might get lucky! I thought it was a great idea, and I'm still glad I did it. I had just hoped we could see Clay's when we go. But like I said, it's just one of the many reasons to return to Orlando in the near future! And of course, GKTW is such a worthy cause that I would pave an entire road if I could afford it!

Today Shay Lynne got another package!! It is the CUTEST t-shirt. It has a Mickey head, with a tiara, even, and it also has her name!! She absolutely loves it! She's worn it all afternoon. It is from Michelle, and I am not sure of her DIS id (I'd love to find out, though, as I like to send personal PMs to everyone for these packages...). Michelle, thank you so very much for sending Shay Lynne this cute little T!! It was so thoughtful of you, and it truly has helped to build her excitement even more. She especially loves that her name is on it! Here are some pics...

Here she is spreading it out on the table so she could see it and so I could take a pic (she knows the drill!)

She's getting into this modeling thing! Michelle, again, thank you so much for thinking of us and for making Shay Lynne her very own personalized Mickey T-shirt!! She just loves it, and so do I.

Today Clay also got another package! This one is from Daniela (DIS id: luvinyou), and she sent him the cutest pencil holder with pirates all over it! She knows how much he likes Pirates of the Caribbean, so she also sent him a Pirates OTC poster book, along with a set of Twistable Crayons, a Mickey Mouse notepad, Incredibles stickers, and Toy Story stickers!! He was so excited!! Clay is completely obsessed with the pencil holder already. The first thing he did was to place the crayons all perfectly in their spot. Since he doesn't have full use of his right hand he can't tie yet, and I bet I have tied the ribbon back for him 199 times! He just loves it. He likes the way it's all rolled up, but then he can't help unrolling it just to make sure the crayons are all still in their proper spot--LOL! Shay Lynne had gotten a pencil holder earlier in the week, and he was thrilled to have his very own--especially one with cool pirates on it.

Clay has already put some of his stickers in the Mickey Mouse notepad! And the boys of the house have really gotten into the Pirates OTC posters (we love those movies around here). They were both so excited! Amy, Madison wanted me to tell you that she LOVES vintage prints like what you used, and that the "peace" sign is her favorite sign, and that she is learning to play the guitar--so she loved the guitars on the inside front cover! Perfect!!!

I wonder if anybody is noticing that the girls in our family are more expressive than the guys??

And finally, here is the pic of Lance modeling his Grumpy shirt that Nicole (DISid: mommyof2princesses) sent him. He was trying to look grumpy for real, but then I started laughing and he kinda lost the pose....

The gifts and outfits Clay and Shay Lynne (and everyone else) have received from the wonderful people at the Disboutiquers is amazing Your family must be soooo excited for the trip. I just wanted to to wish ou extra pixie dust for your family and have a magical wish trip. I can't wait to hear all about it . I feel like I have a new group of friends on these Dis boards, even though none of us have never met. It is a strange feeling , but I like it. Maybe it is because we have all had to deal with the emotional issues of a child with severe medical concerns. We all just get it! Anyway....rambling here....

OK, now just stop it you guys! I just finished writing letters of reference for our nanny, who will be leaving us next month after 9 years. All afternoon as I've been writing, I've been thinking about all the help that she has given us, especially our son Mark who has cerebral palsy...that has made me a little sentimental...and now, all these wonderful pictures, the joy on the faces of these kids - and a hubby who really doesn't look Grumpy...new friends, some bonded by their common link of children who have faced unchild-like challenges, others who have given so generously of their talents...

...well, this much kindness is enough to make a girl cry!

Thanks to all my new DIS friends...you bring a smile to my face!

A package came for Shay Lynne today!! It was from Angie (DISid: esab4), and its contents are awesome!!!! Shay Lynne is so excited because she got an outfit with all the princesses! This is so perfect for her because I don't think she could possibly choose her favorite princess if someone asked her to...and so now she gets to wear all of them! I really hope to get her picture with some princesses while wearing this outfit. It is just adorable. And there were a couple of extra items in the package, too, that excited Shay Lynne to no end! You have to understand how much my girl LOVES jewelry and bling to know how excited she got about these little extras...

She got the sweetest note from Angie's daughter, Avery, who is the same exact age as Shay Lynne. Avery wished her a fun trip and told her to be sure and ride Test Track--so guess which ride she is dying to ride now?! It was such a cute little letter...

Also, Angie wrote me a sweet note explaining that Avery picked out the style of the outfit and also designed the jewelry! It takes an eight-year-old to know an eight-year-old!! She had Shay Lynne pegged so well!

I was just excited as Shay Lynne--we LOVE the princesses in this house!! And now for the bling...

It was the most adorable necklace and a blingy barrette! She was ecstatic...

She ran to put it on and was just giddy!!

She sat down to watch a movie in her new outfit and was still smiling!!

Angie, thank you so very, very much for making Shay Lynne things that she adores so much. I swear, it's like you DISboutiquers know each of us personally! Shay Lynne, especially, is a little diva, and I am so very glad that she now has such a cute princess outfit to where to Disney!! I am loving that we are going on this trip before she's gotten too old to really get into all the characters like this. I think eight is the perfect age for the twins to get to go for the first time, and I realized this again when I saw how excited she got over Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, and Aurora being on her new outfit. Please tell Avery that she did an outstanding job in picking Shay Lynne such perfect things--everything is just fab!!! This is so light and airy--I just love the style because it's so cool and comfy. I know I must sound so repetitive, but I am just overwhelmed by your generosity and by that of the other DISboutiquers. The fact that you spent your time making these things for my daughter just truly means the world to me. We will think of you and Avery each time we wear this outfit and the jewelry. We absolutely love everything, and I have trouble articulating my gratitude. Thank you just seems inadequate--but thank you from the bottom of my heart.
