Arrived safely - prior to the Hurricane troubles at Heathrow!!

Our car from Avis was a free upgrade as I joined preferred service - huge Ford Explorer (bear in mind I drive a fiesta!)

We had anniversary pins waiting for us, along with our magic bands and we were delighted to have gotten a room upgrade to Savannah view.

5am here so taking advantage of the jet lag to make an early start

Had our first full day in Magic Kingdom - there for rope drop and got loads done.

I do like the FP+ but I have noticed it seems to even queuing out a lot so most rides say 20-25 minutes and those normally quick to get on involve a longer wait. However, many has the wrong calculations - little mermaid 20 mins? We literally walked straight on (just took 5 mins to navigate the queue)

Had a great offsite meal $85 for 4 of us - we were all stuffed!

Have updated my blog with pictures etc.

Have a fab trip,we love Akl and had the surprise of getting both rooms upgraded to savannah view,for our 21 night stay back in 2010!
I've wanted to go back ever since,and just booked 9 nights in may.

We just had our Anniversary noted on our Disney booking (we booked with WDTC)

Updated the blog again - holiday is amazing and had a great day. Disappointed with the Pangani trail in AK - with a large area shut for refurbishment the normal one way system has gone and it was just a big mass of people walking both ways - making it hard to look at the animals, they really need to organise the footfall here better. The main safari was excellent - we had a giraffe walk right past the truck and saw another one run behind us.

Tried another off site restaurant today - Applebee's not quite as good as Ale House but $60 for 2 shared starters, 4 entrees, 3 refillable sodas and 2 Stella's - filling meal for an excellent price.

I think I am enjoying not having the Dining plan - it stops us eating for the sake of eating and we are able to get better quality steaks, double the size and half the price.
