We went to school regular time on Monday and we are off today, too./

I am thinking we will be closed tomorrow as well.

We are already closed for Friday and Monday.

Looks like no school unti Tuesday.

I hope it all works out for you :goodvibes

That is so awesome about staying longer.

We might do Universal this year. IT will be Trent's first time.

Harry Potter land will be awesome I am sure

I can't wait to read and see all about it

OH yes, I do remember that incident! Glad you'll be able to use that day! Excellent!!!

I cannot believe you'll be in school til the end of June. That totally stinks!

I have been daydreaming of Disney today, too! I can't believe how much snow you are getting this year! That truly stinks! :(

It stinks that you have to add those days onto the end of the school year.

Are you planning on driving from NJ? I'd love to drive from NYC, but the excitement of driving will end within a couple of hours :lmao:

Can't wait to read about your surprise :surfweb:

Diane, NO SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!!!!! We will be so sad if you guys can't make it down when we are there!:scared1:
Praying you guys get dug out soon and back to school. Let me know if we need to tweak dining plans.
Stay safe and warm you Hobo!

Snow, snow and more snow ... glad to hear you are surviving. I've lived in Md my whole life and never remember a winter like this one. How exciting you get to spend an extra week in Florida and with a free place to stay. I love, love, love Disney and nothing compares to it but I think all 3 of your boys ;) will like some of the cool rides at Universal. Can't wait to hear all about the new Harry Potter part.

Ooooh a surprise ... how exciting :yay:

Our county just announced that school is closed for the rest of the week. The kids and I are driving each other nuts. :rolleyes1

That's awesome about getting the free week, but sorry you had to lose stuff in order to get it.

Denise

I remember that flood!! Glad something so good came out of it!!!

That stinks about the added days at the end of the school year....did I hear another storm is heading your way?

How awesome to get a free place to stay for a week! :thumbsup2 And since you'll already have the APs, it really won't cost much to stay another week. :cool1:

Thanks Carissa! It really will work out very well!!

Another great start Diane I am sitting here reading while the blizzard is going on outside I am only about 1 hour away from you guys so I am sure you are also getting pounded. LOL I also know about the banking/borrowing rules I have a trip planned for late june and it is up in the air sort of, I really hope I don't have to cancel because there goes all my points up in smoke I feel you pain LOL.

Thanks Jeanine! Glad to have you back with us again!!:thumbsup2 This weather is the WORST isn't it? The waiting and wondering is SO STRESSFUL!!

Hi Kelly! We have no school again today...that adds up to an entire school week we have to make up! I hope they start taking away from spring break at this point!!

OH yes, I do remember that incident! Glad you'll be able to use that day! Excellent!!!

I cannot believe you'll be in school til the end of June. That totally stinks!

Yes, the flood ended being good and bad!:) Yes, the school thing does stink!

I have been daydreaming of Disney today, too! I can't believe how much snow you are getting this year! That truly stinks! :(

Hi Jackie...daydreaming of Disney is the only thing that keeps me going lately! The snow is really just TOO MUCH!!

It stinks that you have to add those days onto the end of the school year.

I am so sick of SNOW!! I am sure you are too!! I am seriously thinking about Universal but concernd about the height requirements because Eric is just about 48 inches!!

Our county just announced that school is closed for the rest of the week. The kids and I are driving each other nuts. :rolleyes1

UGH! Isn't it hard to be cooped up all together for such a long time? I feel your pain!!

I remember that flood!! Glad something so good came out of it!!!

That stinks about the added days at the end of the school year....did I hear another storm is heading your way?

Thanks so much! The worst part of the snow days is that the winter isn't even over yet!!!!!!!! We could get more!:scared1::scared1:

Hello everyone! Well, we ended up with ANOTHER snow day on Friday so, that makes 6 all together now!!!! This is unpresedented, record breaking snow here in our town!! I can't wait to go back to school on Tuesday and find out what is going on, there are rumors that they might take away our Spring Break, I hope they do! (Did I really just say that?) Heck, if I knew we would have these 6 days off, we could have gone to Disney!:lovestruc

I wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!:goodvibes:lovestruc

I was thinking of taking to the boys to play minature golf while we are at WDW....we know NOTHING about the courses! Does anyone know which one is better or how much it costs?

We are also considering the pirate cruise, the boys have done the one from the Yacht Club and they loved it but I would like to try the one from the Grand Floridian. Does anyone know anything about it? Thanks for any help!!!:goodvibes

Hopefully, no more snow or snow days. I'm with you. Take away spring break and end school on time.

We always play mini golf at Disney and my 6 yr old nephew LOVES it.
The two courses (summer and winter) at Winter Summerland are much easier than Fantasia Gardens. While I don't remember the exact cost, I know that the second game was 50% off and you until the next day to come back and play.

Winter Summerland is easy to get to. You take the bus to Blizzard Beach and walk right over. Not sure about Fantasia Gardens. We usually drive there.

Have the boys done the pirate thing at POTC in MK? I was reading another TR about her boys fun time ther and looked like some fun--perhaps your boys might be too old, though.

Hope the snow days makeups work out for you!

Happy Valentine's Day to you, too. Too Funny I posted the same thing on Lesley's PTR about if I had known we would have had a whole week off in Feb I could have planned a Disney trip. :rotfl2:

We did the minature golf with our boys but it has been several years ago after a day a Blizzard beach. We did the winter side and I remember my boys enjoying it. That is something else I would recommend are the water parks for your family. They are alot of fun.

Fingers crossed they take away some of spring break :goodvibes

My friend normally plays mini golf every year and she always goes to Winter Summerland.

She normally plays the Winter side. That side looks awesome in her pics

:wizard:

Finally found my way over Diane~ Can't believe everything you are going through wow... We got about 4 inches over the weekend here in ATL all melted now, but calling for more overnight?? We start school here soo early , we get out BEFORE memorial day! I feel for you trying to figure out your plans and all huge bummer!

Are you all still doing your first Disney cruise next year?? I'm trying to convince DH to go on one next sept.. the rates aren't as bad as I thought booking so far ahead, but don't want to bring the babies (although they would be over 2 then)so have to look into finding someone to come down and watch them.
looking forward to hearing how all your plans come together :)
Annette

Hi Diane! Well we completely feel your pain -- and that is why this week, when they made it clear they would be cancelling school for the rest of the week (this was Tuesday) we made a few phone calls, threw a few bags in the car, and drove to florida. ;) YES, we did. I love these APs and the discount! We spend 4 days in WDW! I tell you the weather makes you do crazy things!!! We got an additional foot of snow here with that second storm, and we didn't want to stick around to see it!

We didn't get to do the Pirate cruise with our boys last trip b/c the cruise was cancelled due to weather -- but the boat (at the GF) looked really neat! We are planning to try the BClub one this time... did your boys like that one?

SCORE on the extra week for free! AND with the APs you'll get the free parking, so that will be a big plus! Did you get a TIW card? We used it just this week, vs. the Dining plan. Definitely helps!

I think it was my Unofficial Guide that told me one of the golf courses is more "kid" friendly than the other -- I think it was the Winter wonderland one (can't remember the name) -- I will check my book, unless you have the UG...

We still don't know how many days they will be adding.... I am worried too....:guilty:

Hope you had a nice Valentines' day! Looking forward to hearing about your planning!

Diane! Happy Valentine's Day. Here to hoping spring comes soon and no more snow is ahead.

Oh, ick for snow days!!! You poor people did get pounded over there on the East Coast - I am in the Midwest and we've had our share of snow this season, but you poor ladies and gents have been buried!!

I agree with you, I hope they take your spring break. It will stink for those families that have vacation plans, but it's either that or be in school until almost July. I would pick spring break too.

Have a great week!
