My wife and i just returned from a week in Orlando. While there, we looked into the Starwood and Marriott timeshare programs (we down there on a promotional offer through Starwood). On a whim we decided to attend the DVC open house at the Saratoga resort. When compared to the others, we were blown away by the DVC. Our rep (Tommy) answered all of our questions to our satisfaction and gave us a no pressure sell. The others (Marriott, Starwood) came across as polished used car salesmen (buy today and receive all of these great incentives, but walk away from this table and the incentives are null and void).
Going into this, we knew this was something we wanted to do eventually, but after the DVC presentation, we signed immediately (even though all incentives still applied for 3 days).
We love the SSR, and also toured the OKW resort (we our looking at having both my parents and in-laws join us next year when we bring our daughter for the first time and will try to get into a 3 BR at the OKW fr all of us to stay in).
All in all we could not be any happier with our decision to become DVC members!
