In English class. I think me and my partner, Alyssa, have decided about the basic storyline. But I need some help...But first let me tell you the basic story. Also it will be for a class a 2nd graders.

It will open on a description of a town, something like (beyond the valleys and hills and fields of SunShineVille, stands a tall outstanding mansion. Inside, lived a little girl, named Cassie) Then it will go on to describe Cassie who a is a spoiled little girl who LOVES shoes. She see's these brand new shoes she just HAS TO HAVE! but her mother has had enough and will no longer pay for them. But she does agree to pay Cassie for any work she does (vacuum, dust, mow the lawn, etc). So on and on Cassie works hard and builds up her money. She gains gratefullness for the things she has, b/c she realizes how hard you have to work to get something. Anywho, there comes to be a new student in her class names Tommy (he has big ears, dirty clothes, and no shoes). Eventually after Cassie goes to buy her new shoes she decides to buy some for tommy instead.

So how'd you like the storyline?

Ok here are my problems, I am not quite sure I want this plotline, I am not sure of a title for this plotline, AND I AM IN DESPERATE NEED FOR ILLUSTRATIONS. Neither me or Alyssa can draw to save our lives.

Is there anyway anybody can help with these problems? Please Please Please! It is due March 14. Thank you all in advance.

Oh I think its fine. I love the storyline. Love the lesson learned.

I really like the storyline you have right there.
As for drawings, I can not help you there... unless you want some very good looking stick figures  ;)

Thanks...any suggestions for a title?

Any good places to get drawings?

Can anyone help me with the drawings?

What about Cassie the giver.

Hmmm...okay...

Just keep in mind that it needs to be simple. The 2nd graders are going to judge there favorite book, and whoever wins gets bonus points. And kids like lots of color and simple words...ya know what I mean?

Hmmm. Well I'm stumped!

how about something dealing with the shoes? like "the new shoes" or something nicer sounding.
a suggestion: maybe give tommy shoes, just worn out shoes maybe with holes, or with the bottom of the sole that has came unglued underneath the toes. you could make reference to it by saying: "everytime he walked, his shoe almost seemed to talk" (wow that rhymes xD). id help with illustrations, but i dont have a scanner. im sorry :guilty:

Yeah that sounds good. Except I was trying to keep it as simple as possible because I can't draw shoes let alone falling apart ones :rotfl:

Grrrrrrrrrrr.....

How about The New Shoes for a title. That sounds simple but understanding.

i would definately help you with the illustrations if i knew how to get the pictures from me to you...

Good luck!
i had to write a 25 page one in 5th grade on the slave trade in the 1800s ....
it was very hard

Well, most of the story reminds me of those movies... Cowbelles, Material Girls. Except for the ending, the ending is sweet.
So yes, I'd say keep it like that.
