Have a great trip...we leave next Sat. and I can't wait, I'm counting the days!

I guess we'll see you down there, as we arrive (to disney) next Thursday......also, please spread around this email that Disney just sent me:

"we regret to inform you that Expedition Everest will be closed from 4/27 to 5/6.......please do not even attempt to get in line".

LOL. Have fun.

Just go and have a wonderful time!!

Remember you can't see and do everything so save for your next trip!!!

I think as tips go if I had to give only one - if you go to the parks first thing in the morning (you should, you should) - take a break and go back to your resort to swim, nap, just relax. This will help you get away from the crowds, keep your temper down and give you a second wind to return to the parks in the evening. The parks are different experiences in the day and evening and you should experience both.

Since this is your first trip just realize that the parks are so big and you will not be able to do everything. Makes going back a must. :thumbsup2 I'm sure you read the guide books, if not it's not too late. You could read them on your flight or drive down. Have somewhat of a plan, but remember it's vacation and the most important part is to have fun.

No real tips other than just go, relax and have a great time !! :goodvibes

my advice; make lots and lots of pictures and share them here.... (OK this might not be the best advice, but I love picture trip reports...)

First, have a safe trip. WDW black out dates for Florida seasonal yearly pass holders ends on 22 April - so that means the Easter rush is over and the crowds should return to normal until the next black out period at the end of July and the whole month of August. I would suggest be prepared for very warm temps. The Gulf of Mexico at Clearwater Beach is almost at 80 degrees with only about 9 degrees more to go for hurricanes to have what they need to get very nasty. Also, I was outside around 2 in the morning last night and it felt just like summer, no chill in the air at all so that means the heat of the afternoon will take a toll on you, so be prepared to pace yourself. Our top 3 not to be missed: Fantasmic at MGM, Illuminations Reflections of Earth at Epcot and Spectromagic at Magic Kingdom. If were Christmas season, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot would top the list. Also, just have to add Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot not to to be missed.

We leave Saturday...can't wait! Started packing today!

I have been watching the weather and it looks like it is going to get pretty hot!!! :woohoo:

My advice??? .... take me with you!

I'm just jealous. Have fun ... hope your ds enjoys his first trip. I still remember not being able to breathe when I saw the welcome sign ... and I still feel that way when I think about that moment. :teeth:

Don't forget to turn off the iron.

HEHE. Now that one's going to stick in the craw. It will pop up about the 2nd night. Oh No!!! Did I forget to turn off the iron?

With a group that large, my advie is:

1. Don't be afraid to split up at times. Maybe your parents can take the kids for a few hours while you ride some thrill rides. Maybe your parents want an afternoon at the hotel. You don't have to be together every minute of every day. Take cell phones or walkie talkies to avoid any misunderstandings about where and when you are meeting each other.

2. Drag yourselves out the door so that you are at the parks 30 minutes before opening. You will be glad!

3. Use Fast Pass.

4. Go to the main entrance to Toon Town 15 minutes before it opens. 5-8 characters congregate there to give autographs before Toon Town opens. Also, there is an area at the very end of Toon Town (near the RR tracks) where lots of characters congregate.

"Don't forget to turn off the iron...." What's an 'iron'? :confused3 Think I saw one once, looks like a medieval torture device! :rotfl2:

Note to myself -- take shirts to laundry for clean/pressing 3 days before trip --- now, what's that 'iron' thingee??????????/
