We were having some sticker shock with Disney prices... and we were just considering doing a 2 day hopper. Then I realized that we really only want to do the Magic Kingdom... so what's the point of paying all that extra money for other parks we're not going to enjoy 100%?

So we've decided that we're doing the MK for ONE day ($230 for family of 4).
And we're also going to do SeaWorld ($183 for TWO days w/the Southwest discount). Considering the other park prices in town, that's a phenomenal deal!

On top of that, our 9 year old son has been in love with Shamu ever since he could talk! He is absolutely thrilled we're going! And our 4 year old daughter LOVES dolphins... and our baby can stare at fish all day long. She loves even the fish on my computer screen saver! I haven't been to SeaWorld since I was a little girl, so it'll be fun for me too (DH has never been).

I can't wait!! That new Dolphin exhibit looks awesome... just hope it's up and running by mid June!

Thanks for letting me share my excitement!!

I'll join in on your SW happy dance, if you don't mind. We, too, are skipping Disney this trip and instead spending a day or so at SeaWorld before driving to Vero Beach for the week. I've only been to the SW in California and my kids have never been at all, so we're very excited! Have a great trip. :cool1:

We're spending about 5-6 days in Orlando then heading west to Anna Maria Island for a long relaxing weekend. I'm soooo excited about it! I haven't seen the beach in a few years and my daughters have never seen the ocean at all. So it should be a great trip.

I am excited about doing the Magic Kingdom for a day (and of course, Sea World). My kids haven't experienced these parks yet (well, my first born has been to Disney but has no memory of it). So I know we have to do some of the parks for now... then for the next few years, we'll just do beach vacations. Maybe in about 4-5 years, we'll head back to Disney and do Epcot, MGM and others when they're older and can apreciate it more (therefore justifying the enormous expense!)

I just cringe at the thought about how much those park tickets are going to cost in about 5 years! :earseek:

If u love fish do not miss the aquarium in the gift shop at JTA

You will love Sea World!! We always add a side trip every other year during our WDW vacations. One tip: don't miss the dolphin area when it's actually feeding time. You will get to see some much more of them. The wait in line for food is worth it!!! :flower:

Have a wonderful time and say Hi to Prince for me ;) . He's a beautiful Clydesdale.

If your kids love dolphins, don't forget to buy the little trays of fish so they can feed them! Our kids spent 2 1/2 hours petting and feeding the dolphins...one of the highlights of our entire trip! :teeth:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: i Love SW too and wouldn't miss it on my trip! Lucky you!
