Just booked my condo through skyauction last night...

Arriving Orlando on December 3rd...for 2 WEEKS!!

Can't wait but this is an extremely budget trip for DH and I.

I still think it can be fun on a budget...We just went last December and I can't imagine NEEDING that many souvies... Then again...

We will have about $50 a day US to spend on everything including meals...I know that does not seem like a lot but we carry our own water and juice and we will have $150 for groceries plus what we bring with us. With the parks closing early, we go back to the condo for supper and eat breakfast there every morning. We sometimes pack sandwhiches to take with us for lunch.

We will also have about $100-$150 each for mad money when there is something we just can't live without. We are driving down and that will save us airfare and car rental...

If there are any Canucks that in December, let us know...We are always up for a Canadian meet, eh....:hyper: :hyper:

How great ! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Are you going to do MVMCP ??? I think it would be awesome to go beginning of Dec when all of the decorations are up. Maybe some year ...

Mary Liz

We did MVMCP twice last year and this year I think we will skip it but visit more of the resorts...

If I can sqeeze my budget we might try to do it again but I don't think so.:o

Congratulations Samantha.......lol you're not too excited are you?:bounce: :Pinkbounc We'll be down there from Nov 20th and flying back Dec 4.

What hotel did you get and did you get a good price through Skyauction? We have 6 days that I won't be staying at Cypress Pointe (DH and I are off by ourselves after my family fly back). I'm not too sure how this auction site works.....can you tell us?::yes::

Have a wondeful time planning........I know I am!!!

We got 2 weeks at Vacation Village at Parkway and it's a 2 bedroom.

When we bid we try to bid on the weeks as the bid per night ones are rarely a good deal.

When you bid on a week, there is usually a fee for cleaning and taxes that is $195, and a $15 skyauction fee and your bid...

Our bid was $195 + $15 + our bid of $55=$265 US per week taxes and all fees included for a huge 2 bedroom condo. No timeshare presentation required...Gotta love it.

If you ever want to find out more...Send me you number and I will call you so I can answer any questions you have.

Great stuff!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

That sounds like you got a really good deal and the dollar is continuing to do better so that helps.:D

I'll have to check it out for future trips as DH and I have decided to head down to the Gulf side of Florida.....Anna Maria Island area to spend 3 days on the beach and then head on back up to spend our last 3 days at the parks and shop for our soon to be grandchild for Christmas!:sunny:

We have done MVMCP 2 times and it is great especially in the first couple weeks of Dec it is all so festive at that time.

wenabre just suggested we all go to one MVMCP and I can't say no...So I guess I'm going... :hyper:

:hyper: Wenabre did NOT suggest that we go to MVMCP......
::yes:: Wenabre says we ARE going to MVMCP:teeth:
and who better to go with and what to do, then those who have done it before!!:p

Wenabre is GOING to Disney !!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

 But of course.....
after all, I am the add on...you guys were already booked.

Great deal on the condo. Skyauction is the way to go if you are not staying on-site. We stayed in a 2 bedroom at Orange lake while my sister was in a 2 bedroom at Silver lake. Could you let me know what you think of Vacation Village when you get back.

Touring the resorts at Christmas would be a great free past time- I can't wait until we do this one year. Have fun.

We have stayed there before on skyauction. It's a huge 2 bedroom that is more like 2-1bedrooms lock-offs...It has one with full kitchen and one with a partial kitchen.

We liked the resort but had a problem with the manager there after a mishap with a dryer and washer...Bad customer service and the timeshare presentation (not required through skyauction but they were offering $50 cash) was a hard sell.

We will mention to the check in staff the problems we had last time and the name of this board so they we'll see if the service is better.
