Were going on the Western...

Hello all...we are now going on the western itinerary on 5/10...and since we did the eastern and the 3 and 4 day wonder...can somebody please give me some of the details of the western....I know where it goes but have never been to these places...what should we do....what should we see.....and am looking forward to the two days at sea.....they just force you to relax......anyway....thanks for any info you can give me.

Check out a bunch of the Western trip reports, they are full of ideas and opinions. I agree about Stingray City in GC. We liked, and will return to, Chankanaab in Cozumel. I've also heard a lot of positive feedback on the jeep tour. Surprisingly, we had a lot of fun just renting a scooter and cruising around Coz. We went kayaking in KW, which is an atypical excursion, but we highly recommend it if you are into that kind of thing. I've also done the jet ski tours before; they are a hoot. Shopping options abound, but we preferred the shops in GC by far.

Oh, don't forget to print out the shopping coupons, especially for Blue Iguana Outlet, they have the best and best priced stuff because its an outlet. I love that store!

We just got back from the 1/4 Western and it was out second DCL western cruise. On our last WEstern in August we booked the Capt Marvins stingray city tour and loved it.

This time we booked the DCL jeep safari excursion and it was hands down the best excursion I have ever taken in my life. IT WAS AWESOME!!! I got to the drive the jeep and we went thru jungles, along the coast, over bumps and twisty turns....it was just so much fun!!! It was $84 per person but I was the only one from my family to do it. I went with my friend and her hubby and rest of my family took a taxi to Mr. Sanchos beach which we also did in August. It is a very nice beach day there.

If you can you swing it, book the jeep safari and enjoy!!!! I will be posting pics and trip report very soon so stay tuned!!!!
