The zero-entry pool is wonderful for a toddler! Our DD was almost 2 1/2 when we stayed at AKL for a week last Feb. She loved the zero-entry part of the pool. It made her feel big that she could walk up and down in the pool and also "swim" in that depth. They have life vests right at poolside which was also very nice. Actually my DD loved their pool more than the animals. But thats what was so great about this resort something for everyone because I loved viewing the animals and talking with the animal guides. Now not that DD didn't want to see the animals, she just loved the pool more.
On a funny side note: We told DD before our trip that the hotel we were staying in had animals at it. She was very excited for our stay and the AKL. However upon arrival in our room she started running around the room asking, "Where are the animals?" We showed her the animals outside and she was so disappointed she thought they would be in the room!!!!! She then preceeded to "call" all her grandparents plus Mickey and anyone else she could think of to tell them, "There are no animals in my room!" Aaaah.... the mind of a two year old!
