Okay, maybe we're not drowning, but it's raining like crazy & it's super windy. I'm about 45 minutes south of DLR. :umbrella:

I feel so bad for Lollipop's Mom because I know she & her daughter are on their trip that she planned for so long to DL. I feel bad for everyone that planned their trips and are now having to brave this weather. :(

and this is only the 2nd of the three storms that is moving in! i feel like i'm in Seattle!

I too was thinking about how bad it is for lollipop's mom. She had been planning their trip for so long and was so excited about it. Then to have all this rain. Poor things. Im hoping they are just throwing on some ponchos and making the best of it.

I saw Lollipop's mom & her dd, Megan, when they came in on Saturday. They were so excited about being at Disneyland that they weren't going to let the rain get to them. If the forecast is right, then they should get at least 2 days of non-rainy weather (Tue-Wed), so I'm hoping that they'll get that, at least.

She was sooo looking forward to Fantasmic, though, and I don't know if the weather will be dry enough tomorrow night.

Hey, missmulan -- I heard on Friday that we were tied with Seattle for inches of rain this year so far.

I hope they turn the faucet off before I get there. I have enough precipitation right where I am. :umbrella:

mary jo, i heard something similiar on KOST today (re:Seattle rainfall total). i know your a mod on this board but didn't know you meet & greet dis'ers too! wow, completely above & beyond the call of duty!

metrolink users listen up...some trains won't be running on Monday morning because of sinkholes. this is for the SFV area.

We were at DL Sunday and Monday in the rain.

I'd like to know how much $$ Disney made on poncho and umbrella sales ;)
There were blue DLR ponchos everywhere! So glad I brought other colors from home so I could easily find my crew!

The up side was... for those willing to brave the weather, there were really no lines to speak of on anything.
Parts of the day were actually quite pleasant with just a light drizzle and even a speck of sun peeking through occasionally - but it REALLY came down hard other times.
The parks were definitely quiet - but not deserted. Lots of folks still having a good time in the rain!

i've never been to DL when it rained so i am curious to see which rides are closed. seems like there's alot of outdoor rides....do they close during the rain? how about the snow white musical?

today is tuesday and i think that's it for the rain....according to the AM radio, we had 14-18 days of straight rain.

I know everyone who is local already knows this, but the rain has ended. It is so beautiful out today!!! I hope it continues into the weekend!

Mad Hatters tea party closed in the rain when we were there, as did the Toontown coaster - but that was about it. The rain wasn't heavy though.

I know all areas are not the same. How's LA, Long Beach, San Diego and Anahiem doing with this weather? Will someone give a report.
:Pinkbounc

I'm not sure about San Diego, but I haven't heard anything about it so I assume they're okay. The only thing I've heard is that Metrolink rail line that goes from OC to SD was hit by the mudslide. That means no trains can go on that route until it's cleaned up and it could be awhile.

Anaheim is fine.

Long Beach is having a problem on the beaches. Quite a bit of pollution washed up on shore, and some of the beaches are temporarily closed while they clean it up.

As for L.A., I believe that all of the freeways are back open after quite a bit of clean up due to mudslides. The area that received the worst of it was La Conchita. There was a major mudslide there and 10 people were fatally wounded. :( It's really sad. They said that everyone missing is now accounted for, but they are still digging through the rubble & debris to make sure.

Most areas are okay, but La Conchita is drawing a lot of media attention.

We just got back Wednesday late from Anaheim for 5 days and it rained every single day except our last. :guilty: We stayed at the same hotel as Lollipop's Mom and rode the bus together a couple of days and the rain was definately a dissapointment for both of us. The weather was clearing up for them (Lollipop's Mom and her daughter) as they were staying in So. Cal. till the end of the week. We will never forget this trip, Disney was great, but it was pouring and just plain miserable!!!

So, did it "rain on your parade?" :rolleyes1 Ok, ok! I know...it's my futile attempt at a joke that went bad. Anyways, sorry to hear that it rained on you so much. It usually never rains this much here. Well, hopefully, you were able to fun inspite of all of the rain...
