It sounds like you all had a good 4th, it was cloudy all day here and absolutely poured a couple of times. We still had friends over and the kids were able to get in some pool time, played a little baseball and set off a bunch of fireworks, so the day wasn't a total wash out.

It sounds like you guys had a great 4th! I love the treasure hunt and kid parade idea! One of my fondest memories of pre school was a 4th of July parade we had where we decorated our tri-cycles with streamers and balloons and drove around in circles in the parking lot while our parents watched. It's funny what you remember! I bet Aiden and Abby had lots of fun!

An American Tail was one of our oldets, Tyler's, favorites when he was little. Just seeing the title brought back memories. I miss him so much around the holidays, but I did get to talk to him. It is crazy having a child in the military.

Awww thanks so much, Trish!!! I loved An American Tail as well as a child. I will keep your son in my prayers, it is because of him we celebrate this holiday (and because of his parents supporting him )

Ohhh you are SO right! I wish they could install pools for all of the troops.

I know!!! It is very, very sad. We have been going to Destin every year since I was younger. I actually cried this year when we were on the beach thinking of the fact that it might not be there for us to enjoy next year. I always thought I would be able to share it with my kids for years to come. So sad...
