We're Dreaming of a WL Christmas! DEC 2010 INTERACTIVE PTR NEW: 12/9 BYE-BYE!

What great seats you had!!! The show looks like a lot of fun!

We went to a Disney on Ice about ten years ago -- it was a Toy Story one, and Chelsea loved it. It was when she was going through her Toy Story phase and came home with a plush Buzz and Woody from it. I wonder where those are now...

The show looks amazing!!! I love how they tie into the theme at Disney world! And how appropriate to be celebrating a birthday :goodvibes

I've been to many Disney on Ice shows! We used to go all the time when I was younger. My grandfather would get free tickets because of his job and we would normally get seats in the box suites! :thumbsup2 Very nice. (He was also able to get a lot of free tickets to Disney world, which is how I went so many times when I was younger!) :cloud9: I always loved the DOI shows, they are a great memory for me! I would love to see one again sometime!

It was!! Thank you! It was the perfect theme for a birthday. I was so happy with the entire day!

WOW! What does your grandfather do for a living?? That sounds like my kind of job :thumbsup2 How VIP of you--box suites! What an amazing childhood memory! And FREE Disney tickets?! Amazing.

You and your FI should really go and see one! I have a friend who is engaged and went with her FI to DOI. It is just an overall great show.

Loved your pics from DOI. We have never been. Would love to go sometime....

We spent the weekend at the pool.:banana: Now I am ready to get serious about our ADR's.

It is a great show!! I have heard so-so things about Disney Live, but DOI seems to be all positive.

We spent the weekend at the pool too!! I know! We do not have many more days until it is final. I heard there was a glitch in the computer and you could order online 190 days ahead instead of 180. Try it out--it is working for some and not others. My TA is trying for me on Thurs. Good luck!!

What a great view you had! Your seats were amazing. Too funny about the manly Malificent... I noticed that too! :lmao:

We went to Disney on Ice - Princess Classics in March of this year and loved it. Can't wait to see others. I wish the Imagination Movers would come around here.... we love them too!

Thank you!! We did have wonderful seats. I know, I did not realize about Malificent either! hehe.

Ohhh I really wanted to go to a Princess one! I hope they have one again and my daughter and I can make it a girls day. The Imagination Movers actually tape their show about 45 minutes away from where I live. They were giving away the free tickets to their hometown fans!!! How great is that?!:yay: They pretty much only hire local crew and are really involved with their families. I just love them for that reason!

We did have great seats!!! I was sooo excited when I booked first row!

OH my son and daughter would LOVE Toy Story DOI. Maybe they will bring it back one day. HAHA I am sure they are in her memory box somewhere. I just bought my kids two Toy Story plush dolls (Woody and Jessie) for the Toy Story 3 movie today. I had a really hard time finding a cute Toy Story shirt in my daughter's size, so I ended up having to order from Old Navy online. It is really cute---can't wait to post about it!

:love:I love your pictures from Disney on Ice. That looks like such a fun show! I want to go see it.

We went to Disney on Ice: Princesses several years ago (maybe 5). It was really good. We sat down front. The first part involved all the princesses and the last half focused on the Cinderella story.

Erika

What an awesome birthday for Abby with DOI! I love the kids' shirts. You guys had some incredible seats. The show looks awesome. I really want to see Celebrations but it's not coming down here. In fact, none of them are.:sad1:
I think it's really neat how the characters can skate and do the jumps and such with those big heads and not having the best vision. (Hope I didn't spoil the magic for you. HEHE!:lmao:)
I took the girls to see the princess one a few years ago and it was AMAZING. The costumes are just.. wow!
Hopefully, we'll see The Lion King on broadway in a few weeks.:goodvibes

Gorgeous pictures, Katie!! Those performers are just so talented-- I'm in awe of any one who can skate AND act/tell a story!! Glad you all enjoyed it!!

You should go see it!!! It was an amazing show! I am dying to see a Princess DOI! I think it would be a great one. I love how they devoted time to the Cinderella story...how cute! Thanks for reading :goodvibes

I know!! Some of my out of town friends were complaining about the same thing!! Wonder why :confused3

HAHA you did not spoil the magic!! We were thinking the same thing! I forgot to mention that Fiary Godmother fell and my daughter was a little upset. I felt sorry for her, but her dress was SOOO big it got caught on her skate. Poor thing!

UGH another vote for the Princess show! I am dying to see one! The costumes are fab. WOW Lion King on broadway!!! Can't wait to read all about it!

Gorgeous pictures, Katie!! Those performers are just so talented-- I'm in awe of any one who can skate AND act/tell a story!! Glad you all enjoyed it!!

Thank you!!! They were so talented! I was thinking the same thing when we were watching. I am sure it is VERY hard to master skating in a Mickey suit!

Old Navy has Toy Story shirts??? I need to go check that out! Connor has a cute Toy Story shirt from the Disney Store, but I can't find anything girly and Toy Story.

The DOI pictures are awesome. Forget my kids, I would love to see that. We took my DDs probably 13 or 14 years ago but, to be honest, I don't remember much about it. I know that we loved it and my oldest got an Aladdin figurine (she was a bit of a tomboy back then) and my DS is playing with it still.:woohoo: It has surely stood the test of time! We had an ADR for O'hana breakfast in 2009. When we got to the podium, there was a really long wait even though we had a reservation. Unfortunately, it was the day we were leaving and we couldn't wait. We turned around and basically walked into Kona where we had an awesome meal. We are still hoping to do O'hana in 2011!:thumbsup2

Awesome DOI photos - I think I've said it before but this show is my favorite (let's celebrate) - the others just don't compare.

Aw, thanks for sharing your Disney on Ice experience with us! Front row seats - :thumbsup2! I know it was the best birthday ever for your little girl.

I've never been to DOI, but I really want to. Esp now that I've seen all of your wonderful pictures. :goodvibes

I'm back and all caught up!

Your ADRs look wonderful! 'Ohana is one of our favorites, but we've only done breakfast there. I'd love to try dinner sometime!

Disney on Ice sounds amazing! What a great way to celebrate a birthday!

Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

I love DOI! I went in January, it was a blast! I'm glad you had such a great time. Love the pictures! :)

What an awesome Disney on Ice show! My DD and I went to Disney Princesses on Ice one year and it was pretty good, but this one looks way more fun. I love all of the different characters!

YES! Go to oldnavy.com and click graphic tees. Here is the link to the one I got Abby:

http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=6072&vid=1&pid=758441&scid=758441012

They were all out at our local Old Navy this past weekend! They have two styles. This one and a white one with all of the characters. Take a look...hope that helps! It is VERY hard to find a girly Toy Story. They had a cute glittery Jessie shirt at Disney Store, but they only had XS left and they are all sold out online.

Great start, Katie! Loved your last report and looking forward to this one! :goodvibes

Thank you so much!!! I am so happy to have you join in the Christmas planning fun :goodvibes

YES! DOI was so fun for the kids. I have to say, even though the items are really expensive, they seem to be nice quality. We are going to bring the kids' light up toys to Disney this year because they seem much better in quality vs. the parks.

Awwww! Well, our first Ohana experience sounds like yours. We almost did not go, but it was not our last day so we waited. It was a dinner ADR and all of their computers were down :scared1: They had no idea who had an ADR or what. They were just basically going by your word. We got a great table, so I am not complaining, BUT we waited for about 45 minutes. Hope to try the breakfast soon!! I hear that Kona is amazing--a must do on our May trip when we stay at the Poly!! Can't wait to read about your Ohana experience in 2011! Exciting!

Awesome DOI photos - I think I've said it before but this show is my favorite (let's celebrate) - the others just don't compare.

I thought so too. This was my first DOI (I would love to see a princess one) but the theme was awesome and I felt that it never dragged at all. I am happy that you enjoyed it too :goodvibes

Your welcome :lovestruc Thanks for reading!! She had a great birthday and I really got lucky with that pre-code for the seats! I was sooo excited when I booked front row!

I have to say, this one was great! It was my first one, but from all of the comments I got, seems like everyone really likes them!

:goodvibes

We hope to do breakfast because we have only done dinner! I think it is a great restaurant...sort of a family tradition for us. During the dinner, they keep the kids SO busy. It is nice to have some time to enjoy the adults while they are playing and doing the hula!

It was an amazing show!! She had a birthday to remember, that is for sure :goodvibes Thanks for reading!

I love DOI! I went in January, it was a blast! I'm glad you had such a great time. Love the pictures! :)

Thank you!! Which DOI did you see?? I am dying to see the princess one!

What an awesome Disney on Ice show! My DD and I went to Disney Princesses on Ice one year and it was pretty good, but this one looks way more fun. I love all of the different characters!

Ohhh I REALLY want to do a princess one with my DD and make it a girls day. This one was great and kept both of my kids' attention the entire time. They are so talented..we felt it was so worth the money :thumbsup2 Thanks for reading!

:wave2: Hi Katie! Came over from my PTR - going back to catch up now.....

Okay, all caught up. Your plans look great - almost exactly what I would plan for a Christmas time trip. Still trying to finagle one - we'll see.

You got some great pictures at the Disney on Ice show! We've been to a few of those - some are better than others. I have to say I think the best one we saw, in terms of performance, and just entertainment value- was the High School Musical on Ice.

Ohhh I really wanted to go to a Princess one! I hope they have one again and my daughter and I can make it a girls day.

I did a mini review of it with tons of pictures on my last TR if you'd like to see it --> Disney on Ice - Princess Classic ... but don't if you'd rather be surprised! ;)

The Imagination Movers actually tape their show about 45 minutes away from where I live. They were giving away the free tickets to their hometown fans!!! How great is that?!:yay: They pretty much only hire local crew and are really involved with their families. I just love them for that reason!

That is great! That'd be a really fun thing to see!

Hello!!! So happy you are joining my PTR :goodvibes Thank you for the compliment :santa: I am planning like crazy to make it perfectly Christmas! That is how I got my family to come with us---promise a unique and festive trip. :)

My DD would LOVE the High School Musical show! I did not know they had one! I wonder if they will ever do it again? We really enjoyed the story line behind Let's Celebrate.

Thanks for reading!

I saw 100 Years of Magic. They had a scene where the castle turned into the Small World facade. It was amazing!

WOW! Now that is something that I would love to see!!

I did a mini review of it with tons of pictures on my last TR if you'd like to see it --> Disney on Ice - Princess Classic ... but don't if you'd rather be surprised! ;)

That is great! That'd be a really fun thing to see!

Going to read right now!!! NO...I don't think it would spoil the fun ;) I am interested to read your review!

Sounds like a great Disney on Ice experience. We still haven't been. Unfortunately the show doesn't come anywhere near us.:sad2:

What great seats you had! And how great that the performance fell on your DD's birthday!:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about the Imagination Movers!:)
