We're Doing Disney Again Someday...Plus One! ~ Come Read my Trip Report!!!

OMG! Love the princess stuff in her room - especially the castle cut out over her crib! IT's so awesome! Where did you find that?

I DID NOT KNOW you could put Disney gift cards on a Target Registry completion! WHAT!! Is that a 10% discount on them!??!?! Can I get in on the deal! :lmao:

BTW I found some fairy wings from ebay, a seller that makes them. Not the smokin deal you found but $5 shipped so that worked out ok! I think the ones you found are super cute though, being multicolored! :goodvibes

Oh and you look great! Do lots and lots of walking! We were at a park doing a 3-mile loop with the dogs when i went into labor 1 week early after not even being dilated a tiny bit!

I love the new stuff at Target! I just noticed it this morning, but the boys' sizes were already gone. How cute though. Hilarious that you guys don't wear Disney, but she's already got lots of it!

Room looks great! I LOVE the castle! We might need one of those for our room now.. :rolleyes1

You are so crazy close now!! Hope you're getting some rest time. It's all about to begin! :yay: I'm so glad things have gone so well during your pregnancy. You look great!

Love the castle (and her name!! :-) one of my favorites).
And I love the frame with your ultrasound photos! :-)
you're getting so so close! My advice right now would be to really enjoy your time with Dug right now. You'll have a few months where baby takes over all your time. Caden just started going to bed at 8 and Andrew and I finally are getting time to hang out baby-free for a few hours in the evening. :)
However, having a baby is awesome! I love every minute with my little man! I'm so excited for you. :)

Thanks! It came from one of your favorite places, Etsy. Super difficult to apply to the wall, though (tiny, delicate pieces and strong adhesive). But we love it!

You can indeed! We bought the 10 I put on the registry and got the 10% registry completion discount. And you can get the Red Card 5% discount anytime on them too.

Great, I'm glad you found something! Can't wait to see Aria wearing them!

Thanks! I do walk a lot. I've tried to not change my habits, so I still walk during my breaks at work and to/from the bus/work. And I take the stairs still. So, about 50 minutes of walking each day. Of course, I don't really want to go into labor a week early...I'm still working on the pre-baby to-do list after all!

I love the new stuff at Target! I just noticed it this morning, but the boys' sizes were already gone. How cute though. Hilarious that you guys don't wear Disney, but she's already got lots of it!
I love all their little Disney things! Very unique!

That would be awesome! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm trying to get reasonable sleep, but there's so much to do! I can't believe how close we are now!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Thanks for the advice! That's great that you and Andrew are getting some baby-free time in the evenings now. It's going to be so different when she gets here!

Quick update tonight. Last Friday was 37 weeks:

IMG_2690.jpg

Our midwife appointment went well and everything is still looking good.

Before leaving for the appointment, my work had a baby shower for us. They did a good job with incorporating Disney things too! Here are some pics:

And some Disney gifts from the group:

IMG_2677.jpg

They also gave us this great rug that really goes with the nursery colors:

IMG_2691.jpg

We hung some more things on our nursery walls this weekend. The prints are the ones that Dug ordered from the Wookie the Chew website. Some are Star Wars/Winnie the Pooh crosses and some are Star Wars/Up crosses:

And then we created the balloon corner:

We've done more since, so we'll have to take some more pictures soon.

Disney trip update: We got $500 worth of WDW gift cards at Target this weekend, using the registry completion discount and my team member and Red Card discounts. So, two 10%s and one 5% discount. Not bad. We have yet to book something, but the gift cards should cover our 1-night room-only deposit (approximately, at least) when we book something.

More to come when I have a chance!

Love, love, love the nursery pix!! Can't get over the fact that it is only three weeks until your due date - it went so fast (maybe not for you?). Are you "nesting" yet? :laundy: A lot of women start obsessively cleaning and organizing when they get to the end of their pregnancy. You're staying pretty busy decorating so maybe it won't hit you. Hope you are still feeling well. :goodvibes

Thanks! I can't believe how fast it's gone, either! The first trimester seemed to drag on, but the rest of the time has flown by! As far as nesting, I told one of my co-workers about something I did and she insists it's nesting, while I consider it just geeky: I was trying to figure out what sizes and types of clothing we were lacking, but couldn't keep things straight, so I made an Excel spreadsheet of all of Dug Baby's clothes, so I could order the right things. You can be the judge of how "nesting"-like that was, I guess. I know a lot of women go crazy with cleaning out junk drawers and things, but I will be lucky if we can get the house from "disaster zone" to "reasonably presentable" before baby gets here. Dug did bring a ton of boxes (from all our online ordering) to be recycled yesterday, so that has helped a lot, but we still have a ways to go.

Beautiful pics! And how awesome of your office! I love the jammies you got! So cute!
Thanks! I think my co-workers did a really nice job. And I love the Little Mermaid sleeper...we actually ended up getting the onesies that go with it too, so she will be coordinated!

Hi, all! Things are still going well and....we got Dug Baby's first WDW trip booked! :cool1: It even has her listed (as "Miss") on our reservation confirmation! :)

We finally called WDW yesterday to inquire on the AAA rates for room-only at the Poly (standard view). It was 10% off for the dates we're looking at, Dec. 7-14, 2013. We're hoping that better discounts become available as we get closer (PINs, general public discounts, etc.), but we locked this one in for now by booking the week and putting down the first night's deposit with our (discounted) gift cards. We had to pay $8.28 on the Disney Visa and the rest was on the $500 worth of gift cards. The Poly is sickeningly expensive (that's just ONE night!), but at least we paid under $400 for those gift cards, so that helps. There was a thread over on the resort boards the other day where someone wanted to be sold on why they should stay at the Poly over CSR. We both read that thread and it really reminded us of how much we wanted to stay at the Poly this trip. :cloud9: I think this will be the only trip for a while (no APs), but it should be magical. :wizard: I do worry that, because we had such an amazing Club Level upgrade in December 2010, that we have potential to be disappointed with a "regular" room at the Poly, but hopefully that won't be the case. We put in a room request for the Tokelau building (nice building w/good location) and asked for 2nd or 3rd floor (for a balcony), as close to the beach side as possible. Can't wait to start planning our dining (lots of Kona!) and activities (photo shoot, etc.) :cheer2:

By the way, yesterday we also went to our city's fair and came across this nice photo op (at a travel agency booth):

IMG_2731.jpg

I was even wearing my blue Mickey head necklace from WDW (not that you can see it, really).

Another totally random Disney thing--earlier this week, I spotted a Hidden Mickey in my cereal! I mixed Cookie Crisp and Reese's Puffs (I normally eat better than this!) and found a "chocolate chip" Mickey on a cookie:

IMG_2721.jpg

See it in there? :earsboy:

Friday was 38 weeks and we had fun taking the weekly picture, because I'd managed to stretch my leg funny and pull a muscle that morning, so I was in some pain:

IMG_2722.jpg

:rotfl2: I finally managed to put on a reasonably happy face, but the angle of this picture makes me look HUGE:

WeeklyPhoto38.jpg

Dug also put together a timelapse of our weekly photos last night. You can click here to see the video (starts with 5 weeks):

We are almost done with the nursery. We will take some more comprehensive pictures soon and Dug wants to make a tour video, but I'll show you the bits and pieces we have for now.

This is over the changing table (dresser):

IMG_2714.jpg

We couldn't resist buying this adorable Tigger holding Eeyore stuffed animal:

IMG_2720.jpg

We had no wall space left, so this Tinkerbell growth chart is behind the door:

IMG_2724.jpg

We have a lot of sets of wall decals up and they've all worked just fine, except for this Lion King set. They look adorable, but they fall of the wall constantly. Here's a pic right after re-applying them, just before they started falling off again:

IMG_2726.jpg

We need to make a run up to Babies 'R' Us today to exchange them and see if it was just a faulty set or what. I hope we can get ones that stay on the wall!

We also have the Mickey & Friends area too:

IMG_2727.jpg

IMG_2728.jpg

Well, we've still got a lot on our to-do list for this weekend, so I've got to get to that, but just wanted to share the latest!

Love the timelapse video! I also think the walls of your nursery are just awesome!! You guys did such a great job on them. :thumbsup2 I don't think the Excel spreadsheet is nesting, a little obsessive maye :rotfl: Actually for all of us DISers an excel spreadsheet sounds perfectly normal ;)

Hey Duggette!! You are getting so close now, could be any day now that you welcome Dugbaby to the world.

You look great by the way. I always looked terrible and was very uncomfortable during my pregnancies, especially towards the end. Are you feeling like you are ready to be done with the whole "being pregnant" thing?

The nursery looks so cute! I love the colour and the Disney decorations. I'm glad to hear that you have a trip in the planning stages. I've found that the first couple of months with a new baby (especially the first) are some of the best but also some of hardest times you will have. Having something to look forward to should help during the trying moments. Try to get as much rest as you can you are sure to need it. Will you have much time off work after Dugbaby arrives?

I haven't been on the boards much lately. No trip on the horizon :(. But I will keep checking back on your PTR. I can't wait to see some pics of DUGBABY!!!!

I love this room! The Tigger hugging Eeyore is so sweet. She's going to love this!

How exciting to be booked for her first trip!! I'm so glad you stuck with the Poly, too. :thumbsup2

Your time lapse video is sweet. I can't wait to see some pics when she's here. Super close now!!

OH my gosh!! I love the baby simba stuff!! SOOOO cute!!

I also love the Pooh map over the changing table!!

You're so close!! I'm excited for you! Babies are the best!

Thank you! True, DISers do enjoy their Excel spreadsheets! :rotfl:

I've been really lucky throughout the pregnancy. I've avoided a lot of the common discomforts. But it is getting hard to do much without needing to sit down and rest frequently. And I look forward to being able to bend and move freely again. We're close to getting our "pre-baby to-do list" done, so I wouldn't mind a few more days to do that, but I am starting to at least somewhat understand why people get so impatient towards their due dates.

I'm glad you decided to check in! :goodvibes Glad you like the nursery! I'm hoping that being able to plan our WDW trip will be a nice diversion during those tough times.

I'll have 12 weeks off work. Dug will be home with us the first couple of weeks, then go back until my 12 weeks is up, but then he will use his approximately 2 months of sick time to stay home with her once I go back to work.

I love this room! The Tigger hugging Eeyore is so sweet. She's going to love this!

Isn't that so adorable? They had a bunch of variations too (other Pooh characters holding each other), all very cute.

How exciting to be booked for her first trip!! I'm so glad you stuck with the Poly, too. :thumbsup2

I love thinking about the Poly! :cloud9:

Thanks! I'll be sure to post pictures. Yes, getting very close!

Thanks! We're so happy that the replacement set of the Simba decals seems to be staying on the wall! So cute, we didn't want to have to do something else instead. And we thought the Pooh map was cute and worked well to fill that space above the changing table with something that wouldn't be a risk of falling. I can't believe we're due this week. Can't wait to meet her!

Yay for having your trip booked! :cool1: I love all of the Disney stuff in the nursery, so cute! :thumbsup2

Congrats on booking your trip! I absolutely love your nursery!

Our little surprise turned out to be a little Princess! She was born on the 24th! I can't wait to take her on her first Princess trip- if big brother will allow it ;)

And a short video tour, if you'd prefer:

Not a lot new to report here. We chatted the other day about the dining we want to do at WDW. Fun to think about. :)

Oohhh.. I just noticed you got her one of those nifty purple turtles! Those look too neat. It lights up, right?

This room has so much Disney in it. Still lovin it! The video tour was pretty fun. You got a big "coooooool" from Blake when I checked it out earlier today. :rotfl:
