We're Changing The Plan Again?? You mean there's a Plan? New TR Posted/Link Posted

The flowers and gardens in Canada have always been so very beautiful! They have to have a set of round the clock gardeners to keep it looking so pretty in the Florida heat.

I hate that your meal at Marrakesh wasn't as good you remembered. I think I hate it even more for you because in Keith's eyes, that's one more strike against Disney. :sad2:I've thought about trying a meal there but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't care for it much since we are semi-picky eaters.

I do not have a green thumb at all so I always look at these gardens with a little envy. But i also know that they have to work at it A LOT!

Yes, I need as little strikes as possible where Keith is concerned! But at least the rest of the day was so good that this was only a bump in the road!! I defintiely recommend trying it at least once if nothing else, order some appetizers and desserts becasue they are good! The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and worth a visit!

That stinks that your meal at Marrakesh wasn't as good as it was the last time you had eaten there. We haven't eaten there since 2009, but it's always been one of my favorites. That's such a shame. I hate being let down like that!

2009 was the time before we went also. I may have been a little let down since I had been wanting to go to Les Chefs de France and then what I rodered was so blah. I really should have gone with the chicken kabobs!

Well......I have to say the food pics looked so good and I was thinking "Hmmm, maybe we should give it a try" and then your review.........meh. Too bad it wasn't as good as it looked. Do you think they've Americanized the food or that's really the way it would be served in Morocco? The restaurant looks pretty but I agree with you about the belly dancer!:rotfl:

I have heard that it is Americanized some. I had the first picture--the Morroccan Coucous. That was what I didn't care for. I think it is definitely worth a try though. Madison got the chicken kabobs and she said last night that they were pretty good. The seafood bakilla and the desserts were very good though!

I have not eaten at Marrakesh but DW and I ate at the Tangierine Cafe during our last trip. It was pretty good but I'm an adventurous eater so others may not like the cuisine. If I had known there was a belly dancer at Marrakesh, I would have definately had to try it....the restaurant, not the belly dancer! :lmao: Maybe if y'all had been closer to the entertainment, Keith might have liked the restaurant better? :rotfl2: You know what they say...location, location, location! :thumbsup2

Do I foresee a future ADR?! ;) We are not too picky. I will try anything at least once...well almost anything! Andrew Zimmerman tries things I would never consider! I think I would try going back and just not order what I got that night. But I doubt Keith will ever be willing to go back. The last time we were at a table next to the band and the belly dancer was very close. That is probably why Chris wanted to return! :rotfl: Maybe I should request a better location and see if Keith likes it better next time!!

Checking in and getting caught up. Epcot is my favorite park and the Land is my favorite place in my favorite park...so you can probably guess what I think of your Land pavillion pictures. :goodvibes

Love your TR. To bad its almost over. :sad1:

Epcot is my favorite park too! I usually get way more carried away snapping photos in LWTL but this time I soaked it up a little more. I am so happy you have been enjoying everything! I am getting sad it is so close to being over too which is probably why I am dragging it out! :)

I get a chuckle out of reading your TR about how your husband likes to find places to sit and relax. There are a couple of areas in Epcot that we as a family (or at least I) like to stop and rest our feet and people-watch.

First is inside the Mexico pavillion, back near the some of the shops is a nice fountain. We ususally sit there and enjoy the A/C and ambiance for a few minutes while resting our feet.

But my favorite place is in the same building as the fountain view ice cream shop and the Epcot Character spot. There is a little hallway area behind the ice cream shop that has a few benches and some nice pictures on the wall showing the history of Epcot. Its usually empty, is air-conditioned (which is a big plus in the summer time), has a nice view looking towards the Land and Imagination pavillions, and is next to Club Cool. We always take a nice break in the middle of the day, grab a frozen Coke and relax in the A/C and enjoy the views.

Of course, now that my secret is out, it won't be so private any more. :scared1:

I love your tips for soem cool places to rest! Thank you!! In March I really may have a need to search those out! I have jotted these down in my trip notebook! Keith loves to find somewhere to sit everywhere we go! Every trip includes pictures of him resting somewhere!! It is his travel signature!

Today officially gets me into the 40's!! 49 days and I get to soak up some wonderful WDW atmosphere!!!:banana::banana:

But for now...back to our current story!!

France is our next stop to look through a few shops….

I always feel like the CMs in France are giving me dirty looks when I am taking pictures. We head outside...

IMG_3273.jpg

A non-chalant picture of a tour group. Although we really had no issues with them. I just know people talk a lot about the tour groups so i snapped a picture!

IMG_3274.jpg

And one final picture from France!!

IMG_3275.jpg

I wanted a Grey Goose Mariner but the line was so long so I met up with Keith and Chris across the canal!

We are off to jolly-old England…with this visit we have met all of our goals for the trip except the movie in France. We have seen it though so this is not too big of a disappointment.

While in England, Madison and my mom shop while the rest of us sit to listen to the new British group. They were so good and fun! We wish we had found more time to catch their full act!

Then it is off to find a place to view Illuminations!!! We start in England, Madison and my mom head off to a store and plan to meet up with us, then we go through Canada (I forget where we were trying to go), and then we stop by the boat dock next to the Duffy store. Keith decides he wants another beer from Germany so we head in that direction.

I snap a quick nighttime view of the Mexican Temple:

Continued in next post....

Seriously...is anyone else having issues with the DISBoards being slow? I have tried posting for a few days! Whew! I am going to try and get the last of this installment up!

Eventually we wind up on a bridge between China and Germany…a little alcove really.

The view from our spot:

No one is there. I see a tree and know this will not be the best view but Keith has his beer and is happy. Finally Madison and mom meet back up with us and Illuminations begins!

I took a ton of pictures trying to get a decent shot. I will show just several I snapped!

I have not seen this at all. Every trip we are too tired to hang around for the show. The tree did present a problem but more than that I did not realize how far away it would be. It was fine though and worth seeing.

I want to soak up every last bit of WDW and try to get some pictures out but I get left so I have to abandon my guilty pleasures!

It is now approaching 9:30pm and we have had a pretty full day plus we are looking at a long ride home so it is time to head out…plus Epcot is closing so it isn’t like we have a lot to choose from!

Madison and mom go into one last store. They were searching for something particular although I can’t recall what at this time. Keith, Chris and I walk ahead slowly and then stop at a little area. This is where I did something unusual for me because I am usually wrong and I fear I may appear to be a stalker but I see this family walking towards me. I see one person, then another and then a third…yea, I feel pretty confident I “know” them! So I say something and sure enough I was right! Mickeystoontown and family!! :yay:

This is also the first time I have met any fellow Dissers so it was pretty neat to see the real live version!! We talk for several minutes and then move on down the road. It was real fun meeting them though! :) Madison was also pretty giddy all the way to the bus stop and couldn’t quite talking about them…… After we split up, Keith said why didn’t you take a picture? Uhm…..I don’t know I wasn’t thinking?! I was just so surprised to see someone I “knew”!!

Really this is not a good picture but there is just something about it…

IMG_3374.jpg

A few Epcot Spaceball pictures on the way out and then it is onward to the bus stop……

IMG_3381.jpg

The bus stop was awful for POFQ! No busses were coming and every other bus stop was emptying. Ours was about 10 rows deep! Then some wonderfully smart CMs started directing buses with other resorts (with empty stops) to our stop and soon we were all loaded up and whisked back to POFQ!

We arrive at 10:30pm and I stop briefly to listen to Elliott Dyson because this was something I had really wanted to hear since I love jazz. He is very entertaining but I was just too tired and after 10 minutes it was off to bed I went!

So………how did the plan work out? Let’s take a gander!

So over all adding in Club Cool and this day was pretty successful with some changes to the plans. The worst change was booking Marrakesh rather than Biergarten. I still am regretting that decision! But oh well, at least we have all knocked it off our list if we ever decide to eat at every location!

So this was our last night but hold on folks! I have a little more to share with you! And some fun things are in store!

You are not alone. It has been horrendous.

I am so glad I am not alone in the slowness! I have almost given up on reading TRs because it takes so long to load!! :headache:

I am so glad you found my TR and have enjoyed following along. I think you may like how we ended everything! :thumbsup2

You're Illuminations pictures turned out so good! We were eating in Mexico during the fireworks and didn't get to see any of it.

I'm so glad that you called out when you saw me. It was nice to talk to you and your family even if it wasn't for very long. As I have already said, Hunter was quite giddy himself....maybe that had a little something to do with a pretty girl named Madison. ;) I can't believe that neither of us thought to take a picture to memorialize our meeting. What kinda disers are we? :lmao: Especially since our mothers both made fun of us for taking so many pictures during the trip.

Thanks on the pics! After I psoted I looked at them again and thought they weren't as bad as I was remembering! We were just so far away so I think that stuck in my head!

I'm glad I said something too! I think the clencher was when I saw John's LSU shirt and then your mom. I knew I was not about to embarress myself! :rotfl: They did give us a hard time about those pictures! I was glad my family heard your family because now I can say "See I am not the only one that takes pictures of everything!!" Those two kids crack me up!!

Pretty great post-dinner last night! I LOVE Illuminations. It is absolutely my favorite fireworks show. It just seems so big and awesome and the "surround sound" of all the speakers just make it seem very grand. That is pretty cool that you ran into Mickeystoontown and Family. Since I read both of your Trip Reports, I really can't believe that neither of you took a picture!!!:confused3

The nighttime Epcot pics are really good! Almost as good as being there......:)

Thanks! I loved Illuminations! I always hated that we missed it so I was very glad we were able to fit it in! The evening was very nice! It was relaxing since we just wandered whereever!

I can't believe we didn't get pictures either! We were very bad Dissers!! I blame it on being tired from a fun filled week!!!
