We're bringing 1st timers with.......

In June we are bringing a "FIRST-TIMER FAMILY with us. I want to WOW them with the "Magic" of Disney. I know that just being there is going to get them hooked but I still want to do some other things as well. Any ideas?
Here are a few things we have planned:

* Welcome Basket from Disney Florist (upon arrival)

* Homemade Mickey Tie Dye T-shirts (Dad, Mom, 2 Boys 11 and12)

* Safari Celebration Dinner

Any suggestions/ ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Consider the Star Wars Weekend festivities...how could they not be fans!

The power of the Force and the magic of Disney combine for the family-friendly fan-fest, scheduled for four consecutive weekends, beginning May 22 and running through June 14, 2009. The event includes special parades, trivia games, meet-and-greet sessions with Star Wars legends and characters and special themed activities. The weekend festivities take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and are included with regular theme park admission.

I think instead of focusing on special extras, you should pool together all of the cool little tips and tricks you can learn on these boards and plan out a well though out vacation. Think things like reservations at Rose & Crown to see Illuminations, a Fantasmic dining package, early breakfast at CRT before the park opens so you've got the place to yourself...stuff like that!
