We stayed at the ALL Star Movies Resort...which we thought was wonderful. Especially for our 3 year old Disney Movie buff. We loved it. We didn't spend alot of time at the hotel, but when we did, we were able to swim in our Fantasia themed pool and enjoy a WIDE range of foods from our food court. (Dining plan, we thought was wonderful! We were able to eat great foods, and plenty of it! REALLY! We are people who LOVE to eat,and we were full every day and night, and STILL had points leftover for counter service and snacks at the end of the day!)
For table service..we ate at
Liberty Tree Tavern..which by far, was the groups favorite meal...the food was great! and the character interaction was wonderful. We were even picked to ring the bell at the beggining of dinner, and were able to get a big family picture with Chip,Dale, Goofy, Minnie and Pluto. How Magical!
Alfredo's....
Mixed reviews here, DH hated it! *he ordered the chiken dish..and was tottally grossed out that the tail and the neck were still on the chicken* The Alfredo was not the best I had tasted. However, I am more of an Olive Garden girl myself, don't like to branch out much when it comes to food! LOL The atmosphere was wonderful..mandolin players and singing. GREAT SERVICE!! As a group we gave it 2 1/2 (out of 4) stars mostly for the service and atmosphere. I do have to add though, its REALLY hard to hear inside the restaruant..we did alot of " WHAT???< WHAT???...and that got really annoying! lol
Breakfastasauras...
Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Goofy...they cirulated around the tables while you ate. Typical Character meal. Basically we felt like cattle, they were very busy, and shuffled people around like animals, but the meal was nothing too special a buffet, something you would find at Ponderosa or something. The waiter we had was fun, he played a couple of tricks on us, squirted my mom *grandma* with a fake ketchup bottle, and my dd with a water spray camera. Was funny. We give this place 3 out of 4 stars.

ALOT Of fun! More than enough great food to eat, and wonderful service. Was lots of fun for the whole family! No complaints. My daughter 3, even was picked to ring the dinner bell. (we laughed, since we had also rung the bell at Liberty Tree Tavern..so it must be something about us..that says..."PICK THEM TO RING THAT BELL!!" lol

I have to say that I saw Nothing extra special about this meal at all. Yes, we met Cinderella, and other Princesses..at our meal was Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Mary Poppins, and Belle. They were all very nice, and took pictures..but were very rushed. And the food was NOT great at all..nothing special anyway..you really were just paying for the character interaction. It did beat standing inline, and it was "different" to be eating in the castle. But I don't know maybe I am just bias..b/c there was no dinner bell to ring. HA HA HA!!
If I had one peice of advice for someone going the first time with a small child, it would be:
If you are going for a full 7 days, pick maybe 2 or 3 parks and buy a 4 or 5 day Hopper Pass. And DON"T GO TO THE PARKS EVERY DAY! We thought we were taking it easy, we went at dd's pace, we stopped to smell the roses, we rode dumbo lots, and we took breaks, we started out late and came in early. And she was still over stimuated...she just needed more time to do nothing. When we go again, I think we will try and make a point to go to maybe 2 parks and spend the rest of the vacation at the beach.
She did not like Epcot, well maybe the Living Seas part, but I didn't that that alone was worth the admission of 2 adults as well, since were not impressed with it either.
Animal Kingdom, she liked, but it was very small. And we found that we got the same experiences from the Zoo at home. Although the Safari ride was GREAT, and the Lion King Show was AMAZING! And my daughter is really into animals...but still I think we did the same sorts of things at the Toronto Zoo over the summer.
MGM...we liked alot, we all did, it was a calm day to watch shows go on a few rides, and relax. She loved Playhouse Disney!!
And of course Magic Kingdom was the best, we did 2 days here, since Saturday (12/3) was SOOO busy. We did see Regis and Kelly. And Alley and AJ from Disney Channel. Wishes that night was so moving, even DH teared up. It was such a magical moment for all of us. We really enjoyed ourselves, we found a great spot tucked away for the fireworks, were we all sat down at a table, and viewed the works from the side of the castle. And when Tinkerbelle flew, my dd lost it! What a great time!!
Overall we had a wonderful time! I am ready to plan our next Disney Vacation now!! DH will love that! LOL
Thanks to everyone who helped me plan a great first vacation for our daughter and hopefully we will be back soon, with lots more ?'s for our Disney Cruise!!
