I was there this month too. I agree that it was WAY crowded and the extra magic hour nights were a joke. We went to the second showing of Fantasmic waited more than an hour in line, we were right outside of TOTS and we still barely got a seat. It was miserable. We didn't even wait for Illuminations
I felt bad for the people we were traveling with as this was their big vacation. MK and the studios were both miserable. Epcot was ok with fast passes for Sorin and Test Track. Without people were looking at 2 hour waits. Why bother?
We live in south Texas and it was hotter at home than in Orlando so I didn't mind the heat too much. One day was bad but the rest were ok. We spent far more time at the hotel pool and water parks (which were too crowded, 30+min waits for slides) than we ever have because it was just to miserable to be in the parks.
