We're Back - TS Reviews (with pics)

CRT sounds great but I'm not sure it will be worth 2TS (I'm on the DDP), especially with 2 sons. WDW says that you should call 72 hours in advance of your ADR's to discuss special dietary needs. Did you do that? I'm curious if I do that, maybe they will be able to provide safe breads? My kids are picky eaters and the no bread thing has me seriously worried. I guess I could bring in my own bread but I am paying for the DDP. UGH! Thanks for another great review!:worship:

I always pay OOP for CRT b/c it isn't worth 2 TS and I don't mind doing it b/c DD is always in heaven there. But if I had a DS I would probably skip it, unless ofcourse my DS really liked princesses but most boys aren't into that. No I did not call 72 hours before. When I booked my adrs they gave me all of the restaurants phone number to call and discuss the allergy but I didn't do that. I don't think they would order something in if I did but I agree that they need to have a safe bread alternative, bread is such a staple to most kids

So another bad review for Tony's, I'm so pleased I haven't booked there! And I agree how strange having carrot in pasta sauce

We ate there in Nov and had a great meal and fantastic service. When you order pasta you have to beware of what part of Italy the resteraunt is representing. Apparently Tony's is from the part that puts carrots in their sauce. I recently watched an episode of Rachael Ray an she was using carrots also. I think they do it to make the sauce sweet. Not the way I like mine but then that's why I do NOT order pasta unless I know for sure it will be good. Too many things can go wrong with the way the sauce is made.

I didn't give Tony's a bad review, it was just okay.
Again the calamari as an appetizer was delicious. My husbands steak was very good, my pasta was just okay b/c the carrots threw off the dish (but if you like carrots alot it would be fine), the meatballs and pasta just okay (weird sauce) and the seafood pasta was good. So its a hit and miss and it depends what you like.
Like I said, I was a bit nervous going there b/c I read such bad reviews but I was surprised it wasn't that bad, just okay. I would rather eat at Tony's than at Hollywood & Vine and WCC, now those 2 restaurants were horrible!

DAY 3 - FULTON CRAB HOUSE DINNER

Okay I was sooooo looking forward to eating here. I had read such great reviews and the menu looked so yummy.
We headed down to DTD early afternoon, it was our first time going to DTD by the way, we did some shopping (okay lots of shopping....and I love the free delivery to the hotel:lovestruc ) but I thought DTD was bigger and by 5:30pm we had done all our shopping and our adr was for 7:20pm so I went and asked if we could eat earlier and we were seated right away, it was actually empty but wow, when we left 2 hours later there were people waiting everywhere to be seated.
So we were seated upstairs and what a great view!
Okay no appetizers for us mainly b/c we stopped at Goofys Candy Shop and we were eating candy as we shopped....LOL
DD had the best ever chicken tenders with fries. Her chicken tenders were delicious....sorry no pic.
Both myself and grandpa had the Fultons Seafood Trio.........it had grilled mahi mahi, grilled shrimp and a crab cake with garlic mashed potatoe. Okay the mahi mahi was AMAZING (better than Coral Reef's), the mashed potatoes were very good, the grilled shrimp also excellent (I just wished that there were more), the crab cake was just okay. But overall I loved my dish, I would definately order it again. Heres a pic!

DH had.....surprise, surprise....steak....LOL:rotfl:
He had the filet mignon with a lobster tail added. He said it was all excellent and he ordered a side dish of mushrooms which were also very good, I took a few...LOL

Did you all notice that I took a pic before he started eating it?????

Now I forget exactly what grandma had (sorry), it was a fish fillet of some sort and it came with potatoes 3 ways. You will see the fish dish on the top left side and she said it was good and then the potatoes three ways (that's the orange, green and cream coloured balls there.....LOL), grandma really did not enjoy them, just the regular garlic mashed was good she said.

Okay for dessert I forgot to take pics but dh had the milk chocolate creme brulee.....he loves creme brulee but was unsure about a milk chocolate creme brulee but he said it was very good. Both grandpa and I had the cheesecake and wow that was a yummy cheese cake. We also got some cappuccinos and they were very good.

So would we go back to Fultons Crab House.............DEFINATELY. It was our 2nd best meal this year......I know you'd love to know what the 1st best meal was....well you will have to wait and read the rest of my review;)

Up Next Akershus breakfast

We haven't been to Fulton's in quite a while. It just looks like you don't get a whole lot for the prices they charge. But if you enjoyed it, then it was worth it to you!!;)

I had actually noticed the recurring theme of DH eating his steak before the picture was taken. The NERVE of him! :rotfl:

We enjoyed Fulton's also -- had the filet w/some shrimp and crab bisque that was really good. But we had such a strange waiter. He was attentive but I told DH he liked the next table better -- just that weird sort of feeling that he didn't really want to wait on us. I SWEAR ... we are really easy going and ALWAYS leave a tip!!! (a good tip - my sister was a waitress & I know what that job is like!).

Anyway ... I am enjoying your reviews very much! :thumbsup2

It was a bit pricey but I don't mind paying more if the food is good and if its a little less food, that is always good for the waistline.....LOL

That happens to us sometimes too, funny, maybe its the horns coming out of my head:rotfl2:

:lmao: DH just read my last post and said I had a lot of nerve posting about Fulton's since we went to Blue Zoo and paid a King's ransom for a meal there.:scared1:

LMAO....I agree with your hubby!;) :lmao:

So glad u liked Fulton's. We are going there in a couple of weeks and I was worried about it. I really made reservations there because we are celebrating our 25th this trip and on our honeymoon we ate on The Empress Lilly as it was called back then. They had what was then the most expensive French resteraunt there and I wanted to go back and remember~~;)

Congrats on 25 years:cheer2: It is definately a nice restaurant to celebrate your special day. Let us know your review when you get back;)

Your pasta at Tony's looked great. I wonder if you could order it w/o carrots, or if the carrots are already in the sauce? I'd love to order that when we go, but not with carrots.

We are dining at Fulton's in September for our 25th anniversary....it was the first Disney restaurant my DH ever took me to.
