We're back! That's Magical...our 1st Annual Couples Trip! Almost finished...

I planned on finishing my portion last night when I got home from work but I got really really sick and that went out the window. Pat works AGAIN tonight so I will get it done. I'm sure no one really cares that much but Amanda hasn't even seen what we did our last couple days:rotfl:

Aww yuck! I don't know if you saw on facebook but I was sick all night too!! Hope you are feeling better and I can't wait to read what I missed!!

I did read that. How weird that we were both sick at the same time. I came in to work to find the owner called in sick, a bather called in sick, and one of the other bathers is throwing up but can't go home because we can't do without another bather! What a day.
I'm staying at BWV.

I hope you are both feeling better.

Thanks. I am just feeling off today but I usually feel weird after taking NiQuil and sleeping for 10 hours.

So the morning that Amanda and Eric had the meeting with their Wedding Consultant we decided to head over to AK. Since Amanda and Eric had gone there during their first few days of the trip we had not gone yet and knew we had to. We got up bright and early to get breakfast before heading over to AK before it opened. The majority of the crowd, of course, went straight for Everest. Even though we were almost running to get there I did stop to take a photo.

When we got to Everest the wait was only about 10 minutes so we hopped on the ride rather than get a fast pass. The fast pass line was at least 20 minutes. Crazy people! Here's a photo taken while in line.

After riding Everest we decided we wanted to ride again so we went and got a fast pass. The machines were broken so cast members were pushing buttons in the back of the machines to hand out the fast passes. This meant we got fast passes without using our cards...which meant we could get another fast pass right away. :cool1: We headed over to the safari to get fast passes. We were already over heated at that point so we decided to do Festival of the Lion King. We didn't do this the last time...we loved it!:lovestruc

Patrick wanted to go on Dinosaur. I personally hate this ride but he likes it and it isn't in the heat so I'm game! The line was only 20 minutes long so that was nice. We then headed over to get a fast pass for Kali River Rapids on our way to the safari. I loved the safari this time!! There were a ton of animals out and I got some great photos. Plus we got a seat in the front row all the way to one side...perfect!:thumbsup2

We loved our driver.

Ok enough of that! That night we had reservations at Jiko. We had never been to AKL but we loved it and want to stay there some day. Here are a couple photos of the hotel and restaurant.

After dinner our plan was to go walk around outside and get drinks by the pool. Well...that did not happen because...

7223_554757140511_43005382_32962151_2787408_n.jpg

So we waited it out for a while in the lobby. Got a few photos taken by a photo pass guy (they are crap so I am not posting them), and then looked around in the store. I found this frame that I think I should have bought to put a photo of the four of us in. It is perfect for the trip!

7223_554757155481_43005382_32962153_4644847_n.jpg

The rain did not stop so we ran to our car in it. Wow did we get soaked. It was ridiculous! I was wearing a pair of shoes that were very slippery when wet...and so I couldn't run very fast and I got drenched! The rain did not stop all night so we went back to the hotel. Kind of a let down for the evening since the next day was our last full day!:sad2:

Earlier in the trip Amanda, Pat, and I got up to see the space shuttle launch but it was canceled. We heard that it was rescheduled to this morning at like 5am so Pat and I got up REALLY early to see it. It couldn't be canceled again could it??? Yes, yes it could! There was actually a larger group of us this time fooled by it:lmao: We did get to watch grass get put in.

So Pat and I went back to bed. We got up a couple hours later to go to Epcot. We slept in a little because we had done everything in Epcot and planned on just doing little things. We headed to Soarin' just to see how long the line was and to see when fast passes were being handed out for. Too long of a wait and fast passes were for like 5pm already so we didn't bother. We had already gone on it half a dozen times or something silly anyways;)

We then went to Innoventions to do the Great Piggy Bank Adventure. It was so much fun! Our great little piggy helped us save for an awesome retirement:rotfl:

After our piggy taught us to save money we went over to the other Innoventions. This one was lamer than the other one! We did go on StormStruck. It was pretty cool and interesting. We are no totally prepared for a hurricane to hit us!:scared1:

7223_554757200391_43005382_32962160_5391478_n.jpg

As we were waiting in line for StormStruck we saw the place you sign up for the Kim Possible game. I got so excited and convinced Pat we HAD to do it!!! So after the show we went and got our ticket to pick up our cell phone in Norway at 12:30. We headed over to the WS to walk around a little before our game started. Here are a few photos of Mexico and Norway.

So it was time to get our cell phone and mission for Kim Possible. We had a choice between China or Mexico to start our game. We chose Mexico because of the AC!:woohoo: This one was a little lame because after being in Mexico a few times while others were playing the game you kind of knew where all the hidden things were. The coolest part was the end when you make something shoot out of the volcano...it was neat. After the first mission was over it asks if you want to do another one. Ummm...yes please! This time we went to Japan. This one was much cooler (not in temperature...it was much hotter in that respect). I totally recommend this game to everyone. I would do it again. It is a fun way to see the countries.

7223_554757235321_43005382_32962167_3911806_n.jpg

This was one of the hidden elements. She was the villain we were trying to beat. When you stood in a specific spot and pushed your cell phone button she comes out of the stand in the middle of the shop. So fun!

7223_554757240311_43005382_32962168_6654700_n.jpg

After playing 2 missions it makes you stop. We continued our walk around the showcase and I took a few more photos.

For some reason we decided to walk over to the BW but it was so hot we ended up going back to our hotel for a rest. We totally got excited to stay there in March though! We walked from Epcot to BW and then took the boat to DHS to get the bus back to the hotel (instead of going back to Epcot and walking all the way to the buses).

7223_554757260271_43005382_32962172_7283104_n.jpg

I do not have any photos of that night. I know! Shocking! We had reservations somewhere (I don't remember where) but we decided we didn't want to go there. We wanted to go back to DHS one more time and try to get on RNR. We tried to change our ADRs to Spoodles so we could go back to the BW at night but the system was down...of course!. We had quite the time trying to find a restaurant. We went to Mama Melrose but they close at 8 apparently. We then tried Sci Fi and they had no availability. Plus I could not understand the hostess at all and got very frustrated so we just left. We decided to take the boat over to the BW just to see if Spoodles had a table. We lucked out because it was big group night! The hostess, Penny (we think it was good luck her name was Penny because our dog's name is Penny lol), was incredibly nice to us. We expected her to be annoyed because we didn't have ADRs. She said we were the first group of 2 since 6 that night and she had a table right away. :cool1: I wasn't fan of what I got but Pat loved his. I remember loving the dessert but I don't remember what it was.

We walked around the BW some more and headed back to the hotel. We wanted to get up early enough the next day to go to MK before leaving:sad1:

The last morning we wanted to go back to MK for a couple hours before driving home. A high school friend of Pat's works at Disney. She did the college program a few years ago and never left. Actually her entire family followed her down to Florida and they now all work for Disney. Her brother is Goofy:) Anyway, we had to be out of MK by 1 so we could meet Becky and her dad for lunch. We went to Splash Mountain to get fast passes. That's my favorite ride and has been my favorite since I was 6:goodvibes I never get enough of it. I should scan the photo of the 4 of us on it earlier in the trip...Amanda can get enough if it :rotfl2:

Anyway...we went on Pirates, It's a Small World, Buzz, Monsters, and then Splash. I did not want to leave:sad2: I made Pat take a couple more photos with me in front of the castle.

That's the end of the trip:sad1:

I still have access to my photo pass photos for a couple more days so I thought I would post a few of the photos I liked.

My drawing done by Eddie:) I got it framed and I LOVE it. You can't see it too well but the frame has a little read on the edges.

Cute photos!

Did you guys intentionally match clothes in a few of those photos? Very cute.

So what exactly are those photos? You pick something and have them draw it for you? Is it expensive? Where is that located?

Not at all. The morning we took the photo of us in front of Epcot we didn't even realize how much we matched until we saw the photo of us online later that day. I don't know that we would do that on purpose...a little weird. The photo of us with our ears, Amanda and I wanted to match our ears.

There are a few places you can get them. There is an art store in Future World at Epcot. That is where we got ours. It is like $35 if you have one character in the photo and $60 if you have two. I had to really really convince Pat to get the $60 one. It is expensive but I was an art major for a while, draw all the time and I love that sort of thing and he knows that:lovestruc

It was cute that you ended up matching on accident. I was going to think it was a little odd if you did it on purpose, but I wasn't going to say anything. LOL!

Yeah, $60 is a lot but it did turn out very nice!

Aww Lauren you made me teary at work!! I am glad you guys had so much fun after we left. I didn't know you went to Spoodles!!

Thanks for posting those pics! That picture you posted of France is killer!!! I think I need you to send it to me so I can get it printed and framed (for my mom!). And I think between your pics and mine we can order a shutterfly book!! Maybe that's what we should do this weekend...we can put it together and just order 2!!

I had SOOO much fun with you guys! I really can't wait to go again. Even after you move far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far away from me, we should make a yearly trip together!!!

I will definitely email you a copy of that photo. I think that is a great idea for this weekend! We can make photo books:cool1: I am always up for that!

Yes, we will make a yearly trip after we move far far far away:) We can't go that long without seeing each other anyways - might as well make it at the best place in the world!

My DH and I are moving to Washington state a year from now. I am originally from San Francisco and all my family is on the west coast. Washington is much much cheaper than California. I only see them a couple times a year for maybe a few days at a time so I am ready to be a little closer to them. I haven't even seen my grandparents, aunts uncles or cousins since my wedding over 2 years ago:sad2: So...we are moving and some people are just not too happy about that!

Wow. That is a big move. How long have you been living in New York?

I've never been to Washington but it looks beautiful out there. And it will be nice for you to be closer to family. I love being close to mine.

I've lived here for 7 years now. It is a big move but last time I moved across the country I didn't know a soul. Now I at least I have my DH and I know a few friends who live in Seattle. It will be difficult to leave all the friends I have made out here but we are so excited to get out of Rochester! I need me some ocean:cool1:

Okay, totally weird request... buuuuut! I am making a scrapbook of when my boyfriend and I went to Disney in March, but I forgot to take a couple pictures. Would it be okay if I use these photos to fill in my gaps? They are absolutely beautiful! I understand if you don't want me to, but was just curious! :goodvibes

Edit: By the way, the trip looked amazing! I just realized I never posted in this TR before. Oops! :)

Mandy, I didn't know you had a TR. I know I'm late, but I will be checking in for the rest.
