We just got back very late Saturday from 8 days at WDW. The weather was absolutely gorgeous...85 and sunny every day. The crowds are manageable until we hit MK on Friday. Way to crowded. Only parks that we needed to use the FP were at AK (Safari) and MK (Buzzlightyear and Space Mountain). Otherwise, only have to wait about 30 minutes tops for a ride.
We had one scary experience at MK on Friday. When leaving Space Mountain, everyone had to go on the moving walkway which first went on a decline for a long ways then it went up hill. There were a large group of people on it when we heard screaming way in front of us. People were yelling to turn the belt off which never happened. For some reason, the ride attendants let 3 people in wheelchairs leave this way and were in front of everyone. In a way..thank goodness there were people behind them. The first guy must of put the wheel break on just one side because his wheelchair turned sideways and flipped over. So DH and 3 others guys ran up there to help. Then all of sudden a women a little ahead of us started screaming and we could see the wheelchairs starting to roll back. People were jumping up on the railings and the others were running back. It was absolutely terrible! When we got to the top, there were 3 WDW employees coming to help. I told them, I think you need to find another way to bring people in wheelchairs off the ride. The man that feil looked pretty banged up but everyone else got out with just a few scratches. What a nightmare for the kids! When I got off the belt, another woman was asking everyone who lost a sandal. I looked at it and realized it was DS8 but no DH. I looked down and noticed there was another single sandal that was not one of ours. Even though it was only a matter of seconds before DS8 appeared, boy was I panicked. Everyone involved in this were awesome by checking to make sure everyone was okay.
So if you go on Space Mountain..please keep this in mind when you are getting out of the building after.
Other than that experience, we had no problems. We went to Dexters in Winter Park for Easter brunch...great food and amazing staff. Went to T-Rex for dinner on Thursday to celebrate my nephews 6th birthday. Very fun but very loud.
I'll try to post some pictures later.
