We arrived back yesterday morning but this is my first opportunity to get on the PC. We had an excellent holiday with many highs but a few lows, and are already talking about next year!!!

HIGHS
Disney as usual this was fantastic we had some great experiences the best of which was the pirates and princess party on the 21st, we thoroughly got involved and collected treasure and danced, the rides had very little or no wait and we stuck it out until midnight. The boys costumes went down well (piccies will follow) and the parrot on DH shoulder caused so many comments and looks the children were fascinated. We had some great meals including Sci-fi, Ohanas, Le Cellier and Crystal Palace.
The villa perfect, had a slight problem with the air conditioning but this was sorted with a couple of phone calls, it would not have been a problem had it not been so hot, unfortuantly it is being sold to an american so we will need to find somewhere to stay next year - recommendations kindly recieved
Shopping got plenty of shoes and clothes especially for eldest DS (size 14 feet, Waist of 29" and inside leg 36", so you see it was easier to clothe him there) one of our highlights was the Tommy Hilfigger shop we had never been in there before but will be back, they are opening a new one at Lake Buena Vista outlet - we got 2 pairs of swimming shorts, a linen shirt and a pair of shorts for $36:yay:
The flights Great, the food was excellent and the service was fantastic
the pool in their every day we needed it, it was so hot with very, very little rain, so we had an afternoon swim every day
Afternoon tea at Grand Floridian what can I say if you have never done it go, it is fantastic.

LOWS not too many
Tonys Thumb! somehow DH trapped his thumb in the sliding door of the minivan, ds shut the door on it, very swollen and bruised but it was OK, but I have a real phobia of hand problems (i had a really bad accident as a teenager and I can deal with blood etc anything except problems with hands/fingers) thankfully a really kind american couple came and helped I felt really faint! but it was all OK in the end
Perkins we had a really horrible lunch at the perkins on Sand Lake road, we waited 40 mins from ordering for our food and when it did arrive it was not nice made a complaint and paid for the boys meals as they ate most of theirs did not pay for ours!!!
TSA some visits ago we invested in TSA approved locks for all our suitcases, and do not have a problem with them searching our cases, we had 2 searched this year on the way home but one of them they did not lock again and we had an IPOD docking station and heart rate monitor that goes with DS new watch went missing from our case!, I have contacted my insurance company but basically our case wasn't locked so not covered, I will be fighting that cos I locked my case, I have also emailed the TSA will let you know what the out come is
coming home this speaks for itself - you all know how this feels

A trip report will follow, I will wait for the CD of our disney pics to arrive though.
Off to bed now

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time. Thats bad about the cases though, hope you can get it sorted. :headache:

OUCH poor thumb! (eyes are watering).
Sounds like you've had a magical time,I cant wait to read TR and see piccies.
Welcome home :goodvibes

Welcome home , need to start planning again.
sorry about your case and missing items.
when we came back in August , we have TSA locks on all our cases, 6 in total, on one the lock was missing ,obviously they did not put it back on, luckily there was nothing missing. But if they are going to open cases they should put everything back and lock it again.
Last year they failed to put lids back on some jars of cream DW bought, and the stuff was everywhere when we opened the case.

Sounds like you had a fantastic time.Looking forward to your trippie :goodvibes

Hope you get a result from your insurance :confused3

Looking forward to your trippie, glad you had a goof time, sorry about your cases, who did you go on hol with?

Ali

welcome back -- time to start planning the next trip - that's the only way i can handle the let down of coming home...

sorry about the cases - i've had a similar experience with them breaking a TSA approved lock off my case....but fortunately nothing went missing...so sorry it happened to you....

i see your son has my husband, son and daughter's problem..
there is a tall man shop on I-drive -- i suddenly can't remember the name...oh wait...it's The Casual Male - ok clothes....nothing to write home about, but ok for the prices.....definitely worth a visit, if only for the socks (DH can't get socks in most regular stores)...
