We had fun there. Definitely need a cart, but dh wasn't going to spend the money. We were in the 1500 loop right behind the bus stop. Good thing you're so exhausted at the end of the day, so you don't hear them.

It took a half hour for check in which was a little annoying, esp since we had been driving for 6 hours that day and 12 hours the day before. Once we got settled, we took the long walk to The Trails End and had dinner.

I bought the mug but was super annoyed that The Trails End was the only place to refill the mug with coke. Coffee doesn't do it for me in the morning, and being pregnant and really hot out, I couldn't make the walk to The Trails End. I think they need to add soda into the Trading Post, the pool location is good, but not available early in the morning.

But other than that, we had a great time and those are our only complaints, we can't wait to go back. Oh and I love the confort stations!!! Very nice and clean!

How was Disney transportation? We requested the 1500 loop for October. It seems like a good location. Are most of the sites in this loop shaded? Are they somewhat private or are you right on top of your neighbors?

I thought the sites were nice. Some were open, some were shady. Our was, we were in 1501. We only used the boat once and didn't have any issues. We drove to the parks.

I've beentrying to decide about getting a mug. It seems such a distance and not worth it. Guess we will stock up our soda on the drive down ;)

Bummer, about the long check in. I was amazed at how fast the check in was when we there last summer. I was thinking it seemed to quick !! But hey, we did'nt complain about that :wizard: we expected a 1/2 hr !!!!

If it hadn't only been 2 cars in front of us, a half hour wouldn't have been so bad.

Yea, checking in is so hit or miss. I've seen times where it was 8 campers deep in each line, and an hour and a half later there was no one in line. There is really no way to plan it, all you can hope for is a small line when you get there.

When we go to the fort I like to get a jump start. We usually go to Turkey Lake or somewhere close the night before so we can be at the fort early on our check in day. It makes no difference to me if my site isn't ready because I pull into the overflow lot and we either ride our bikes to the Settlement and catch the boat to MK or bus to MGM or catch a bus right there and go to AK or Epcot. Getting there early is the way to go though, so the line is not a problem.

I think you are right ...they should add soda machines at the Trading Posts for the mug refills.
