(WE'RE BACK!!!)First timers to WDW,first time DISers,and a Disney crazed DH!U/D pg12!

First off I think your treatment at RFC sucks. Second, I want to know about building the lightsaber. I think DS would love this. Wonder if they'd give us a problem on the plane? Can you take them apart again after?

Looking forward to your next update! (Still trying to begin a pre-trip!)

Yes the RFC did suck and we probably won't try that again next time. I hope you guys do post a pretrippie I would love another Dh and Dw team on here!!

The build your own lightsaber was awesome!!! They have a station set up in Once upon a Toy store. There is different compartments with pieces that you put together to make you lightsaber. You can make a Jedi or a Sith one depending on what parts and crystals you put on it. It also has the swoosh and other sounds built into it. After you put it together the give you a Jedi or Sith lanyard pin which are really big and it all costs about $20 dollars. They also give you the batteries. I didn't think the price was too bad. The saber itself pushes down into it's self and is about 8-10 inches long. So it would be pretty easy to pack into your suit case. I'm not sure how to take it all apart but I'm sure you could if needed. My Ds LOVED this and couldn't wait to get back and show his friends!

Ok guys, I guess it's my turn to write a day out. I really don't want to because Like Dh said the trip will be officially over :sad2: ! So Dh is so much better at this than I am but I will try. Oh also I am having a terrible time remembering all of the cute names I gave my family so if I slip up just take it that I am introducing ourselves for a 2nd time.

DSC02293.jpg

Ok Day 3 I guess would be right? Right? Ahh well anyways. I wake up bright and early and I am big on sleeping in so this is really something for me! :yay: I was just too excited to sleep! So everyone started to get up and ready for our :scared1: 7:50 breakfast ressies at Chef Mickey's! The plan was to get up and head over to POP and check in and then to BF but I didn't want to be late for this one so we decided to head over to the Contemporary instead. The drive there seemed like it took forever. The kids are still groggy so it hasn't hit them yet. I guess also it was just breakfast but to me I had been waiting for all my life! So we get to the gate and tell them we have a ressie for CM and they wave us through.

DSC02300.jpg

Then we get to the gate at the Contemporary and the give us a paper to put on our windshield for parking and wave us through.

DSC02301.jpg

So we get out and a re walking up to the entrance and we are all talking and excited. We Ds is twirling around (he's 12 at home this would just be so uncool but in Disney it is acceptable!) He says "LOOK!! It's Cinderella's castle!" Again if we where at home this would not excite him in the least! We all turn around and just stare Ariel is just in aww! So we are all just in the best mood. Of course we are finally in Disney after all this time of waiting and we haven't even got inside of a park yet!!:lmao: Darth is taking pictures of everything (disposable camera that we still haven't developed yet :sad2:) I'm like hurry up we have to go in! (I started acting like a 8 year old I just couldn't wait) So we finally walked in and past the front desk trying to take everything in as we hurry to see Mickey! So we find what floor we need to get to and head up the escalator. We are just loving this place it is absolutely amazing and beautiful. Darth LOVES modern stuff so he was in heaven!

DSC02314.jpg

So we finally made it around the corner and who did Ariel see MINNIE MOUSE!!! She screamed it she was so excited. We checked in they gave us one of those beeper things. We went over and took our Chef Mickey family portrait (Which we never got)

DSC02303.jpg

We sat on the big round couch in the middle. We look around at all of the people and smelled the food. I was sitting there thinking this is going to take forever there where people everywhere waiting. Then our beeper went off and they whisked us away to our table. WOW! That sure was different from the night before. Dh and Ds went to get some food they were starving. So all of the characters where walking around meeting and greeting everyone and Pluto was headed our way. Ariel was saying "look look it's Pootoe". Then poof he was gone. I was like well great she is going to have a melt down right here right now. Then music came on and Goofy came out and singing, dancing, clapping and of course swinging napkins.

DSC02308.jpg

That took her mind off of "Pootoe". So Pix and Darth got back with the most yummy looking food I couldn't wait to get mine! I had got some coffee and oj for Dh and I While he was getting their food. So everyone started chowing down while I went to get my food. When I got back Pluto came over and scared the jeebies out of Ariel.

DSC02304.jpg

This was her first character interaction. He did get right up in her face but she warmed up to him. Somehow I missed Mickey but Dh got a good picture of him and the gang! Ds didn't really care about the characters much he would interact with them if they approached him but really didn't care to much for them. He is 12 and all

DSC02306-1.jpg

So I was talking to Ariel about who she had saw and that I saw Donald coming up next. So before I tell you more I have to say this. She has this kitty I got for her on her first Valentines day and she has loved it ever since her name is Meowmie. Well anyways she told me she want Donald to hug Meowmie and I said well maybe he will. Well someone must have heard her because when Donald came over the first thing he did was pick up Meowmie and hug her! Ariel got so many  hugs and kisses from Donald she LOVED it! Her little face was priceless!! Of course now Donald was her favorite until she meets someone else on this trip but more on that later.

So with our tummy's full and our spirits high we head off to check into POP!!:woohoo:

Glad to hear everything was much better at CMs. We went there for breakfast as well and thought it was a great character breakfast.

Looking forward to reading more.

CM sounds like so much fun! Your pictures are great too. I love that your DD said Donald was her fav...until she meets someone else. So cute!

Can't wait to hear what you think of POP!

Hi mystik and Pixar. Lovng your TR (Just found it tonight). I fel your pain about RFC. The one and only time that we ate there DS was 2 (will be 4 on this next trip). We waited almost an hour (it wasn't that crowded). We ordered apetizers and asked that DS;s meal come out with the apps, because he was hungry. Of course it didn't. Luckily I had fruit snakcs or something with me or it would have gotten UGLY.

Next installment please:surfweb:

I just found your report today and was sooooo sad to get to the end! We are currently planning our 9th trip to the world, but our first in our own trailer at Ft Wilderness for August 2008. No trip this year for the first time since 2002. :(

The tee shirts you made are awesome. I will definately check out Michaels for transfer paper and get creative. I have to ask..........who got the Capt Jack tee?pirate:

It was great, and after RFC it was just the dose of magic that we needed!

I think it may be the start of a tradition for us to have our first breakfast there every trip. I smile everytime I think about the look on the kids faces with the characters!

I think Donald still ranks right up at the top for her, and watch out for the parrot she just had to get when we got off Pirates to start making appearances with all the character! ;)

Welcome aboard, glad to have you! Amazingly, our DD2 was fantastic the entire time. She was such a trooper on this trip, not one word of complaint the entire time. I think there was just too much for her to look at for her to get fussy!

Welcome to the TR! We had alot of fun making the t-shirts, unfortunately, however, several didn't end up getting used, and Jack was one of them. We ran out of time, and the Disney store here in town had $4.99 t-shirts, so we loaded up on those. I'm still planning on making the Jack shirt and the Pixar shirt for future use, though!

HOPEFULLY we'll get the next part up tonight, if we don't pass out as soon as we get home. At my sister in laws right now letting DD2 and my 2 year old niece wear each other out!

Ok yes we are slacking again.:rolleyes1 It is so hard being back and trying to get back to normal. (will it ever be?) Thanks for hanging in there with us guys!:)

DSC02317-1.jpg

Ok now on to POP!! So we left the Contemporary. (Which I didn't want to because it was so close to the Magic Kingdom I wanted to see the castle darnit!) We all hopped in the car and followed the signs to Pop Century. We pulled up and there where so many people standing around outside. It was the day after Memorial day and I guess peoples vacations were over. So when we pull up there is a CM directing people and he told Dh to park the car while I checked in. So I went rushing in. (I have no idea why I just felt hurried) So I walk in and it is really a neat looking place. Well the line was forever long! I wait and wait. I looked at everything the wall art and trying to peak around at everything Pop. So I was up next and Pix and Ariel walk in while Darth is waiting in the car. They look around while I check in. So I go up and say that I would like to check in and get our tickets. Well the CM there said ok and handed us everything we needed. Then she said and your room is ready!!:scared1: I was not expecting that. Good thing though because when we came out Darth came running up to us saying he needed to the restroom bad! So we all hopped back into the car with smiles ear to ear! We were in the '90's building room # 3832. So Darth and I went running to the room. Pixardust and Ariel close behind. So we went up the stairs and went to the 4th floor not the third. (Sorry Darth:guilty:) So we went back down to the third and Dh and Ariel were standing there. So we ran to the room unlocked it! We were all so excited!! We finally made it to Disney World!!! We were all feeling the magic for sure. So Pix went down to get a few of our things while we stayed in the nice air conditioned room. We turned on the t.v and watched the channel where the annoying girl talks about Disney. (Sorry if any of you like her but I found her a bit much!:flower3:) So after we all got settled it was about 10:00. So we headed off for Epcot. You are probably wondering why we chose that first. It's because we used TGM and it was a green day! :hippie:

DSC02346.jpg

DSC02341.jpg

Ok going to try to post more tonight. Have to get ready for King's Island in the morning. (It's no DW tho...:snooty:)

Glad to hear you were treated well at POP. Your room was ready at 10am???
Wow you lucked in. Can't wait to hear what Darth thought of Epcot. Did he enjoy Test Track? Sorry-getting ahead of you.:rolleyes1

I'm struck looking at that picture of the POP resort! It almost looks like a computer graphic... excellent picture! Can't wait to hear about Epcot and the rest of it... take your time, enjoying hearing all the details.

I cant wait for more!

And I timandlesley got me into TGM as well! I even used their TR and Pre-TR to help master most of our plans!

So, where did we leave off? We had just checked into POP and were ready to hit the road and head to Epcot. So, our first experience with Disney Transportation, and luckily it was not indicative of the rest of the trip, was not that great.:sad1: The bus was packed and NO ONE was offering a seat, so I stood holding Ariel for the entire bus ride, and at 48 pounds, she can certainly make your arms ache, especially when you have to hold her with one arm and hang on for dear life to the hand rail in the bus with the other! What really got me was one lady who wasn’t even holding her child in her lap, but gave them their own seat, and they couldn’t have been more than 3 years old! But, enough complaining. Onto the park.:woohoo:

We arrived at Epcot about an hour and half after we had planned to, so our carefully laid plans had most certainly gone a rye! The line to get our bags checked were very long, but moving quickly and we figured our idea of hitting Soarin’ first thing was pretty much shot, so we decided to take it leisurely and that we’d get to as much as we could, which, unfortunately, turned out to be not too much.:sad2:

DSC02340.jpg

We went to the Cold Station first because walked past it and happened to be thirsty and Mystik tricked Darth into taking a huge swig of the Beverley, and boy was he mad! :rotfl2: We had fun trying all of the different drinks but soon headed out.

Next on the itinerary was Nemo and Turtle Talk, and as Mystik took the kids that way, I hoofed it over to fast pass Soarin’ and was immediately bowled over by how great the smells coming out of Garden Grill were and I started regretting the ADR change that took it off our itinerary, but, hey, there’s always next time!:rolleyes1

I made it back over to Nemo to find out that they hadn’t gone on it because the Stand By line would be over an hour and we wanted to DO something, darn it! Turtle Talk was just about ready to start, so we milled around looking at all the different sea animals until we were let into the theatre. I have to say, Turtle Talk was GREAT. Very entertaining and funny and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The highlight for us, however, was when Crush came out with the bikini top around his neck and asked what it was and a little girl in the front of the room yelled out, “IT’S A BRA FOR YOUR COCNUTS!!!” :rotfl2: and the room erupted with laughter. Ariel started getting a little wiggly towards the end, so we positioned ourselves to be the first ones out and headed over to Innovations ( I think!) and Darth and I played with giant robot arms that play the different “instruments”
DSC02336.jpg
and then headed over to ride Figment, which I rode when I was young and loved! In fact, I still have the beach towel! Ariel got a little freaked out with the loud noises and air blowing in your face and said she was tired and laid her head on Mystiks lap. After that, we realized we were all super worn out and decided to save our Soarin’ fast passes for later and headed back to POP for a break.

The bus ride back was much more enjoyable and Ariel and I went to the room while Mystik and Darth went to the food court to find us some lunch. They came back with nachos, drinks, and cake, all of which were great.

After lunch, Darth went to the pool, and Mystik, Ariel and I laid down. After Ariel fell asleep and Darth came back from the pool, he and Mystik headed back over to Epcot to use the Soarin’ fast passes, planning on meeting Ariel and I between 5:00 and 5:15 at the bus stop to take the Monorail to the contemporary for dinner at Concourse Steakhouse at 5:30. This is the reason we didn’t split up again.

I woke Ariel up at 4:15 and boy, was she not in the mood! Finally had to tell her Mystik had a prize for her (We’re potty training, and she had done a great job that morning!) to get her moving. :rolleyes1 We made it to the bus stop about 4:45 and were at Epcot right at 5:15. Mystik and Darth were NOWHERE to be seen. We walked around the entrance to Epcot, up to the monorail station, back to the bus stop, etc, etc until almost 6:00. Yes, a half hour AFTER our reservation. We made it to the Contemporary at about 6:15 to find Mystik and Darth waiting for us. Apparently, when we weren’t there as early as they thought we would be, they went on to the restaurant. Ah well, at least we found each other.:grouphug:

I had the onion ring appetizer, which was great, Darth had the chicken wing appetizer, which was great, and Mystik had the scallops appetizer which were really good, or so she says, I’m allergic to shellfish, so I wouldn’t know! Mystik got the prime rib, I had the ribeye, and Darth had the NY Strip (I think?). All of it was good, though, honestly, I didn’t see anything exceptional about the entrees. The desserts were something else, however. Mystik and Darth had the chocolate cake, which they still talks about and I had the cheesecake, which was wonderful.

The plan after dinner was to go back and catch the World Showcase and try to work in some other things we missed, but we were all so pooped that we decided to just head back to the hotel and go swimming. We went to check out the Hippie Dippie pool :hippie: and swam for awhile until we couldn’t keep our eyes open and headed back to the room.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, what a wasted day at the parks, and, honestly, that’s how I was feeling, and I was pretty down thinking that none of our plans were going to work out and I told Mystik that tomorrow, our Magic Kingdom day, we were doing it commando style.

Stay tuned to see how it worked out. Oh, and we DID go back to Epcot and did some more to make up for missing so much.:thumbsup2

Yeah, you made it too POP!

Looking at your Chef Mickey pictures, I am kicking myself because we decided to cut that out. :headache: Oh well. It looks like you all had a good time.

We have the same stroller, the Metrolite. How did it work for you guys? I'm a little worried about it being to big and bulky. I'd love to hear your reviews.

Sorry about the bus. I get tired carrying our 21 lb. DD, so I can't imagine how tired your arm was Pixar. I can't believe that lady didn't move her DS. Some people. :sad2:

Don't think of your day at Epcot as a waste, you are at WDW! No days are a waste when you are there, at least that's my opinion.

Looking forward to your commando MK day...I hope that means fast-paced and not something else....:rolleyes1

Looking forward to reading more.

We love CM's and I hope when we go back to do it again!

We LOVE our MetroLite stroller! I worked out great. I love how easy it is to fold up and get on and off the busses with. The basket in the bottom worked out wonderful too. There was plenty of space to fit all of our stuff. We had a FULL backpack two camera bags DS would sometimes put his bag in it and many of DD's stuffed animals. We didn't try the strollers there so I can't compare the two. We did however love having it with us, and I hope this helps!

Oh don't even get me started on the first bus ride. It was a group of 3 adults and two children under 3. Both children had a seat of their own and so did the adults. None of which offered to have the children sit in their laps!! That was the only ride like that though so I guess we are lucky!

No I don't think our day was a waste at Epcot just rushed and everyone didn't get to do everything. It was still fun!

:rotfl2: :lmao: MK day is commando (a little) but the fast paced one!

This has started many a debate on the Dis. You are a brave man!

Looking forward to reading more.

He did a wonderful job. Those busses (or should I say drivers) are pretty fast.

Have just been reading your trip report and thoroughly enjoying it. :goodvibes We too live in Lexington. We're getting ready for our 7th trip to WDW since 1999 this July. We have DD13 and DS6. The first time with your kids is just truly magical.pixiedust:

Thanks for joining us! Wow another Lexington Family!! There are very few of us here. WOW 7 trips I sure hope oneday we will be up there too!!:rolleyes1 Hope you have a safe and magical trip!! And yes the first time with our kids was wonderful. We had so much fun and are dieing to go back!! (Christmas?!?:santa: :rolleyes1 )

So yes we had so much fun on our day at Epcot! Our camera kept fogging up so there were limited pictures. I'll post them though.

I sure wish we had had more time there. I really wanted to do the World Showcase. Maybe next time. I think my most favorite thing at the park we did was hmm this is a hard one. I think when Darth and I went back by ourselves and he pin traded for the first time. He really liked it. Actually ended up trading in the same place twice with two different people. He got some really cute pins.

Ok well I guess I will tell Darth and I side of the story.

We got on the bus at POP and headed over to Epcot. We went straight to Soran. The line was probably an hour and a half long. We however had our handy dandy Fastpasses!! So we waited I guess about 10-15 minutes to get on. So we watched the little movie before we went in to get our seats. We were in the front row. We we packed all of our loose stuff in the little bags, buckled up. Off we went. Well I had no idea we where going up. I will have to say that was a little scary. I'm a roller coaster junkie but here anymore I and so scared of heights!!:scared1: Wait till we get to the MGM day!! So let me get back on track here. Ok So while we rode we didn't really smell anything but the orange fields which was nice. I'm not sure if I would ride it again. It was ok but not really my favorite. I'm sure I'm going to ketch h*** for that one, but it just wasn't for me.

Ok now once off the ride we went to the big sign that tell you what the wait times where. Well I really wanted to do Land of the Living. It had a 15 min wait. Well by that time it was 15 till 5. Well we where supposed to meet up with Pix and Ariel 5-5:15. So I decided not to just in case. So Darth and I decided to go shopping. We saw Mousegears and decided to head that way. We stopped at the pin trading booth that was in front of the store. Darth bought a lanyard medallion. It's a Dragon in the shape of a Mickey head. It's really neat. So after that we headed into Mousegears. Why are all of the stores on Disney property so HUGE?!? Of course I got separated from Darth. I looked around and found Ariel her first ears!! They are the purple Tinkerbell ones. (I never got them with her name on them tho...:sad2:) So I looked around and found her a small Ariel doll. (We will see her later in some pictures) I caught up with Darth. He had found a pirate necklace that he just had to have. So we gathered up our stuff and paid. I looked at my watch and it was 5 on the dot!!

Darth and I took off running. Which let me tell you after walking all day my feet where just not up to that! We probably looked like idiots running in and out of crowds. So we headed to the busses. We made pretty good time it was 5:03. We looked around and didn't see Pixar and Ariel anywhere. So we waited till 5:15 and still no sign. I told Darth that maybe the got here at 5 and we weren't here so the headed on over to Concourse. So I told him that we should go on over. We we walked fast (that's all I could do) to the monorail. Well we hopped on and away we went. Ok well I had no idea you had to switch trains so that delayed us a bit. We switched trains at MK (I wanted to go in so bad) So we got on the next train. We stopped at all of the stops. Ok it was 5:40 and my I'm getting a little upset. We are almost to the concourse and the train stops and we sit there for the longest 5 mins of my life!! So finally we start moving and get off at the Contemporary. I look down at the Concourse and I don't see Pixardust or Ariel anywhere. So Darth and I take off to the Concourse. We get their and look around and still don't see either one of them. Well I go ahead and check in for our 5:30 ressies at 5:50!!! I will never ever be late for a ressie like that again I felt awful about it. Even though there was me and Darth and one other family there. So while we are waiting I try to call the room to see if they over slept. No answer. Where could they be? They go ahead and call us to our table. They take our drink orders thank goodness because I was so thirsty!! They brought us our bread. I was starting to feel sick to my stomach. Darth kept telling me it was ok and they would come. I couldn't eat I just sat there watching the monorail come and go. People getting on and off. Still my family wasn't together. I was about to just get everyones food to go and go back to the room. I look up and there they are Ariel sitting on Pix's shoulder's I wave happily at them. I was so relived and happy to see them!! We tell each other what had happened to all of us and decided to never again get separated from one another.
