Hi All

We are now back in the UK after almost 5 weeks, the most wonderful holiday I have ever been on.

From NY to Disney, the whole trip was fantastic. Will try and do a trip report, but I tried doing one 'on the fly' and it is such a long time to cover I may never get round to it.

But briefly, the QSDP worked very well although we only used just over half of our meals and two thirds of our snacks. In fact we seemed to be quite the topic of conversation round the resort and parks, being frequently commented on as to the number of meals we had available.

Cabins were fantastic, not quite immersed enough in Disney though if I am honest, but very nice never the less.

Any questions, regarding NY, Washington, The Skyline Drive, The car, The Cabins, The dining plan, anything, please ask. I want to be on 'hols' as long as possible

Anyone getting ready to go, I truely hope you have a fantastic time.

Steve (slightly fed up)

Glad you had a great trip Steve :) You know what you need to do to get over the holiday blues: Book another one! ;)

We are going for 3 weeks next year - fly to New York for 3 days, fly down to Clearwater for 3 days then pick a car up to go to WDW for 2 weeks, staying at OKW - can't wait!
Me and hubby went to NY earlier this year and loved it sooooo much we wanted the kids to see it, so decided to tag it onto the start of our disney trip. Then we thought we would add Clearwater on as well. Hubby says no more adds!!! :rotfl:

Disney blues are the pits:sad1:

Sounds like you had an amazing time.We took a trip over to Fort Wilderness recently and liked the look of it. The only thing we wernt sure about was the pool area. What was it like, and did you hire one of the golf carts to get around in??They looked so much fun,we even saw some decorated like christmas trees:)

Glad you had a great time :) It's the worst when you come home and have Disney blues

Join the club. Problem is now you won't be able to beat such a great holiday.

Glad to hear you had such a great time though.

Just checked the magic hours tonight and we keep saying which park we are going to each day we wake up!!!

Anyone going to ny first I really would consider driving the whole way down, its easy done with one overnight if you want to and the trip down the skyline drive was amazing.

The main pool at the cabins/campground was quite nice, place to get food and drinks from. There is also a small pool, no food or drinks tho, near the 2700 cabin loop.

To be honest, the qsdp doesn't really work that well with the cabins, there is only really the main pool where you can use it. The restaurant at the main settlement seemed to be table service although they did say we could order a pizza using the ws and they might find us a table!!! Felt a bit of a leper. But that aside it was amazing and I want to see if we can swing another 5 or even 6 weeker.

Keep asking the questions

Hi, the golf carts were 62$ per day, the car we had was £80 per day, so we couldnt justify the cart too, the car alone for the three weeks was almost £2000. The carts just seemed very expensive, especially as most if them seemed to be parked up at the dock while the people were at MK seems silly to pay that out to leave it parked up. People with the big campers did take their own, but they obviously are proffesional camper folks.

Good morning all. The weather is beautiful this morning in Dudley, just about to cut the back lawn, first time in 6 weeks. Just watched a.plane go over. Really got the Disney blues

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Altogether now, "its a world of laughter, a world of tears........."
